The Columbus Fish Market that I knew and loved is no longer, not sure if they were bought by another company but the food is subpar to what I used to enjoy. The fish and menu used to be changed daily, some of the previous menu items are still there but in much smaller portions. The mojito, my wife's favorite drink, tasted like nothing but simple syrup and mint, still not sure if they even added rum. Very sad to see the place take such a down turn but I doubt we will be going back again.
Overall we enjoyed our meals, although we have both ordered tastier items off of the menu. We went for New Year's Eve and chose the specials they had to offer. For the price we have had better dinners here, but understand that on holidays things aren't always going to be perfect. Regardless of the food, service was great!
Food was wonderful as always. Our waiter, while being very nice, did miss a couple of things. No shrimp fork with the shrimp cocktail. No refill on my coffee when I asked. No bread offered until we asked. The asparagus was like giant trees, too tough at this size. Would prefer small asparagus that are much more tender.
I gave the waiter my Landry's select card, but when I got home I received an email that I had received "0" points.
The good is amazing and atmosphere is lovely. Looking forward to return visit.
it was Christmas: so with 6:45 reservation we were seated at 7:15, and service was below par for them. Squash undercooked in salad
Next holiday I would skip going out as restaurant struggled to keep their usual quality
I have usually had a pleasant time at this restaurant, but hadn't been there in awhile. My experience last night was extremely disappointing. It took about 25 minutes for server to show up to take our drink order. It took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered it. When our food arrived, it was only slightly above room temperature. Our Server seemed new and poorly trained. I spoke to a manager as we were leaving, and he was largely dismissive, saying that they hadn't expected the amount of customers that they received. It seemed like an odd comment because the restaurant has been around for years, it didn't seem that crowded, and I have seen it much more so on numerous occasions. Needless to say, i will not be returning.
The place was half full but one has to assume they were at half staff (Christmas Day dinner). It took 30 minutes to get a glass of wine and only after the waiter (who could care less) repeatedly told me that the bar was backed up (really? How long does it take to pour wine into a glass). The food was sporadically delivered, and half of it was cold and dried oiy. The dessert was good and coffee was hot....so there's that. In a word, disappointing!
Our family went for Christmas Eve dinner. Service was great, the food was even better. We have been here before and will return in the future. My only complaint was my Stuff fish special was a little on the dry side, but to be honest we had one of the latest reservations so I'm sure that had something to do with it as it was probably prepared much earlier. It was still very good.
XMas eve dinner...never again! Waited over 15 minutes for our drinks!! Food came out cold, chicken parmigiana, fish and chips. Before ordering the shrimp scampi capellini asked if it was very spicy since sauce indicated made with Tabasco sauce...was told not spicy at all so orderd it. Boy was our waiter wrong!!! took a bite (and I like spicy) but could not eat more than 3 bites. Told waiter about it and he said they can remake it without using the Tabasco sauce; now wouldn't you think he would have mentioned that before I had ordered it. Had to eat all by myself due to the remake? Restaurant closed at 9:00pm; our reservation was at 7:30, and we were the last 3 tables in the whole restaurants...that tells the story. Never again!
Second year in a row we have went for Christmas Eve and I had to go ask the Manager for assistance. Service was so incredibly slow - it took forever to even get water and bread. There were 9 of us. Food was just ok, our family was disappointed. Waiter gave us attitude when we asked for our checks to be split 3 ways too.
Great food at lunch, wonderful service. Ahi tuna was really good.
Menu advertised salmon prepared 5-6 ways. Our server told us all of the salmon was frozen and farm raised, even the salmon listed on the menu as "Atlantic Salmon". Only three fish on the menu was fresh and wild caught. Very disappointing for a fish market! The salads and soups were excellent.
We had a wonderful time. Our server was excellent and food was excellent as always. We are never disappointed at the Fish Market.
We have been frequenting this restaurant for many years and unfortunately, it seems to be deteriorating in terms of food and service. The last few visits were slightly disappointing.
New beverages added to the menu. I recommend the ras-beery beertail. It was delicious. Items were also added back to the menu including the hoisin BBQ tuna which my husband loves. I got the brown sugar bourbon glazed salmon and it was the best I've ever had.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious special dinner Saturday evening at the Columbus FIsh Market at the Crosswoods. The food was absolutely fantastic, however on the gluten free menu it states that all of the "Market Catch" ( or however it is worded, can be made gluten free. Iordered the cod stuffed with shrimp and lobster and there were some little bites of bread stuffing - for me it was fine but with a gluten allergy or celiac this wouldn't be fine. Just FYI.
We had a very lovely dinner this evening. Starting with cocktails made precisely as requested to accompany our appetizer of remarkably fresh and tasty ahi tuna; through wine and well prepared entrees; through after dinner coffee, the food and service were on point. The scallops were seared to perfection in the scallop entree, and the cut as well as the preparation of the salmon on our other entree was moist and delicious. Returning to the appetizer, the tuna was a beautiful fine grade, sliced not too thin, perfectly rare and the pickled ginger and pickled cucumber made a delicious forkful with the sticky rice and tuna. The suggestions and attention of the wait staff were also up to expectations. The only (minor) complaint was that we had a bit of shuffling about on entry/greeting, and no "good night" on the way out. All in all, a very nice evening.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at the Fish Market and maybe their typical kitchen staff had the day off because everything just missed its mark slightly. The crab spinach artichoke dip was clumpy and oily in texture, but tasted good. The entrees were so so. Overall, it was a slightly disappointing meal on what may have been just an off day.

Very quiet for a Saturday night. Many open tables yet was still seated right next to beverage station while employees scrubbed floor. Ruined atmosphere. Otherwise food and service were good but not exceptional.
This place had Great food, quiet atmosphere, decent prices. The seating was comfortable and the rooms were separated which made it nice and quiet for conversation. Lots of choices besides fish too.
I received a warm welcome. I first sat at the bar and then decided to have dinner at the bar. Friends arrived later. The menu had enticing choices. I went with the Sea Bass, offered several ways. The first piece was delivered undercooked in the center... and no problems getting a redo. Manager was apologetic. It was a huge serving so I actually wasn't surprised and checked it for done-ness right away. The second piece was melt in your mouth perfection. Comp'd ;me a salad for my problem. I will be back. Love this place. Highly recommended.
It was supposed to be a relaxing night because I needed to get away. So I went to Columbus. First night for our server on his own. Didn't write down what we ordered twice so service was slow. I think the third time he did and things came out at different times. My asparagus came out 20 minutes before my crab legs. Having to ask for things 2-3 times is not a relaxing dinner. On top of that it took 20 minutes to get the manager. The tuna app was terrible as well. The manager only took off the crab legs even after asking how all the food was. The crab legs were marginal as well. I hope this is NOT a Cameron Mitchell restaurant and if it is he should get a new manager and kitchen staff. It ruined my night. We paid the $94 bill and left the poor kid a 20% tip because clearly he was poorly trained and left flailing on his own. Good thing the restaurant was dead, perhaps all of the above is why?
The atmosphere is romantic with intimate lighting and cozy seating. The food was perfect. The server was great and knowledgeable.
This review is in no way meant to say anything negative about the cleanliness of the restaurant or say anything bad about management or service. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were taken aback by this actually bring a Cameron Mitchell establishment. We felt like we just walked into a Ponderosa!! In no way did it feel like a Cameron Mitchell restaurant! The decor was cheap and uninviting. No place for a nice date night!
As far as our server....she was like a robot-efficient with ZERO personality.
As far as management....it was obvious who the manager was-you saw him on the floor-not only brining out an order with very interactive with patrons. His restaurant was immaculate.
As far as food-my husband s cod and shrimp dinner was good better than average. My food was the Pablo crusted cod with shrimp (Bianca may be what the dish was called)-the Panko breaded fish was right out of some frozen box-more over done Panko than fish- yes I should have sent it back but I'm sure I would have bet odds another batch would have shown up on my plate with the same result.
As far as bar service-my martini was good my husbands may actually have been missing the vodka!
Again, this restaurant was disappointing as far as ambiance and food-the restaurant is just not what we would expect out of Cameron Mitchell
Very good, above average seafood. Quick, attentive service. Wine was priced higher than average.
Was our first time at this restaurant. Far more expensive than we thought. The food was just ok, but certainly not bad or anything. We ordered the Crispy Calamari for a appetizer and it was not quite as crispy as you would expect. The entree's were very expensive for the size of the meal.
Probably will not go back.
