Weather was lousy so we took a ride to check out the restaurant
This restaurant takes all precautions to keep its customers and waitstaff safe, We were a party of 5 celebrating a birthday and they offered the birthday person a complimentary flan when I made the reservation. Our waitress was very attentive and sang Happy Birthday in Spanish to our guest from PR. The food was all good but the chicken and pork in the paella were dry but the seafood was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Another wonderful Lunch at the Columbia in Ybor for my parents 63rd Anniversary. Great Sangria, multiple entrees and desserts (flan, churros & key lime pie). Our server Lisa was courteous, friendly and attentive!!
Felt like it is a tourist trap. The food was over-priced and not very good. Had 1095 salad which tasted like bag iceberg salad and the Cuban sandwich was served cold and had very little meat or cheese.
Awesome experience! The food us authentic and delicious and the show was awesome.
We arrived promptly at the time of our reservation and were seated near the restrooms and kitchen, which was off-putting considering we happened to be the only minorities there for the show. We arrived 6:30 p.m., the waiter took our orders 30 minutes later, we received our orders at 7:37 p.m. The flamenco show that we paid for was nice but we were very far from the stage. The food was good but I don’t think the customer service was good enough for the amount of money we spent and the seats we received. It’s was roughly $300 including a tip for the five of us. The Cuban bread and mojitos were pretty good but the service was a bit sub par in comparison to other places we could have dined for that amount of money. I wouldn’t return but would half heartedly recommend to a tourist.
Was at the restaurant on a Saturday with our family celebrating a Birthday.
We had a wonderful evening the food was delicious, there were 8 people in our party and everyone was happy with the food. The waiter Johnny was awesome, he was helpful made us feel very important, nothing was to much trouble,. He was a delight. I will always ask for Johnny when we go again. The dancers was wonderful. It really is a wonderful evening at the Columbia. With Great Food.
Excellent experience! Food was perfect. Wait staff outstanding. Will go again
Totally enjoyed the meal. Terry our waitress was awesome. The staff was very polite. The prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend this place. They are currently celebrating there 105 years of service to the community.
Love the half and half.
I always get the cuban (mmmmm)
and 1905 salad. The best way to go.
The service is always the grestest.
We thoroughly enjoyed our luncheon with you. Our friends from Texas we’re equally impressed with the food, staff and facility. We will always look forward to visiting Columbia Restaurant when we visit the Tampa area.
1905 salad was delicious! Fun atmosphere, and great service!
This was our first visit here. I was so very pleased with the total experience. I look forward to our next visit.
Great food, great service!!!!
We were so excited to visit from IL for our anniversary. Requested special seating. We were up on a balcony and it was pretty noisy. Our server was very pleasant, but lacked in attention. She was aware it was a special evening for us. We had to remind her after our salads that we never got our bread. A lot of lag time between visits to our table. And she took our plates without even asking if we would like a to go box. Meanwhile, some familiar patrons came in and she made a big fuss over them and let us and the table next to us wait a very long time to finish our service. Disappointed and not how we would have spent a much awaited anniversary dinner.
Both mine and my wife's food was cold. I typically eat at the waterside location. Much better experience
The original Columbia is an institution. The service is second to none. The food is always outstanding. If you happen to visit during a Friday or Saturday evening, don't miss the Flamenco show.
I felt the food was not as good as it has been in the past. This may be due to COVID, but the 1905 salad was not as fresh. Everything else was pretty good. The service was pretty slow. I feel the waitress was having an off day because she seemed pretty scattered.
Great service and meal.
Service was slow. It was my daughter's bday. The Hostess acknowledged it with my Reservation upon our arrival, however the waiter never did and that was disappointing.
It was awful. We went there to celebrate our anniversary but my girl eat a bite that we found it had a piece of hair that she got in her mouth!!
We informed the manager but they didn’t handle it properly the we we expected. Our night and anniversary has just ruined and we still had to pay for all that disgust
So disappointing and never recommend
Always a good experience at the Columbia!
Meat was dry and salad was NOT fresh. Salad is always my favorite.
Johnny went above and beyond to provide excellent service and make sure we were comfortable.
The atmosphere and service was good, the show was entertaining and the food was delicious.
Great food with attentive wait staff. Highly recommend!
Not the best Spanish food in town, but still very good. When you read about the restaurant's history, it becomes clear that Columbia restaurant is about an experience more than it's about fine cuisine--and that's ok.
Food, staff and service were all fantastic. I’d highly recommend to anyone for a special evening out.
Everything was great, no issues or complaints whatsoever.
Service was slow, food was decent but would return again
We have been at Columbia restaurant a few times before. Often to bring friends that are visiting to show part of our Tampa history. To our disappointment in this last visit the food was not to the level we are use to. The rice was completely undercooked, overall food was dry and completely unappetizing. Hope this was only a one time thing because we really enjoy to visit for the overall experience.
Excellent as always!
We celebrated a family bday. Our waitress brought out a piece of flan with a candle in it. So sweet! And it was delicious!
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Great service and impeccable service. Noisy and poor acoustics in the bar area but the staff was kind enough to relocate us to a different dining area. Great spot in Ybor City.
Wish table was bigger for 4 people as there was barely enough room for everything on the table. Also wished tables were a little farther apart
This was my first time at the Columbia. I had one of the best dining experiences ever. This had a lot to do with the outstanding service provided by our server Yerek.
BEST restaurant in Tampa! Love the atmosphere and the food!
My moms birthday celebration
Awesome food, and FANTASTIC SERVICE! We enjoy getting pampered the entire time we were there!
They really went out of their way for my friends first visit & birthday, made it special. Manager gave us a GREAT tour! I really appreciate it.
