Enjoyed immensely! Service great! One of our favorite restaurants!
Me and my Wife have been coming to this location for years now, we live in Jacksonville and drive all the way there for the Sangria de Cava... it is to die for. Besides to the amazing food. We usually get the Black bean cakes, chorizo & empanadas from the tapas menu. The ambiance and atmosphere of Columbia restaurant is at another level. I feel like I’m back in a historical era.
Our favorite restaurant! Always great food amd excellent service.
Seated near a kitchen door upstairs. Staff was very loud with their partying in the kitchen. Food was Luke warm. Barely touched my food but the waiter never came by to check. The warm bread was fantastic.
The Columbia never disappoints us. Just a light lunch and a beer for me and a sangria for Carole. Energetic atmosphere
The food was great! Our waitress was pregnant and did not want to be at work. Pick the pitcher of sangria not the mojitos. Your waitress makes the pitcher at your table. Ours did not know how to make mojitos. It is a beautiful place. The food was great and not overpriced.
Excellent service and good food. We drove 2 hours and wouldn't have left St. Augustine without (again) stopping here. Wonderful atmosphere and just overall a real treat.
The valenciana paella was mediocre. The quality of the pork and chicken was not good. The flavor was ok. The service was rushed. I don’t think we will return.
One of are all time favorites, great for a relaxing lunch and a romantic dinner.
Chancy was our waitress and she was so delightful and pleasant. She made our night extra special.
We drove all the way from Orlando to Saint Augustine specifically to celebrate my birthday at Columbia restaurant. The restaurant is decorated to reflect the Spanish culture and the food was excellent. Our server was fantastic and my husband said his margarita was the best he had ever tasted. We are very pleased with the experience and cannot wait to go back and again experience this wonderful restaurant.
Wonderful!!! We had wonderful service and amazing food😀
Great spot, excellent service and an exciting menu
Absolutely the finest food and service in the state of Florida
Fresh and full of flavor was our experience with everything from our Tapas Trio to our entrees to our desert! The scallop and crab cake tapas were outstanding; very fresh and muy tasty! The red sangria was delicious and the flan was out of this world! We very highly recommend this venue! Will definitely visit again!
I am in love with the Paella and the Sangria here. The staff is always very pleasant. I’ve been before but taking my mother there for Mother’s Day was a real treat for her and all of us present. Thank you!
We have been to the Columbia Restaurant many times and this time had a reservation for Mothers Day at 5:30 for a party of 4. We were promptly seated, however our server was terrible. Waited for water and to take our drink order. In addition, we waited over 45 mins for our entrée. It was not only our table but other people with the same server. Other patrons with different servers had their entrees and desserts served before us even though they were seated after us. The waitress explained that they were busy because of the holiday. Since we were seated near the entrance, the waiting time for a table was not long, hence the excuse that the kitchen was "slammed" did not appear to be the case.
It appeared that this particular server had a problem with the kitchen, as all of her patrons meals were delayed.
Additionally, our entrees were served by someone other than our server and was tepid in temperature.
Very disappointing meal
Ethan was our waiter and we LOVED him! His smile never left his face! It made my Mother's Day celebration so nice and we told him we wanted him every time we returned!!! Seriously, he was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered wonderful options. When he fixed our wiggly table, we knew he was serious about his job and it showed. Please make sure he is recognized for his professionalism, but for that great smile that radiated he was happy to be there!!!
We enjoyed our meal and visit. Fabulous food and I just love the salad. The best Mojito!
I know its in the middle of a tourist town, but the prices have gotten very expensive for regular visits by locals and folks who live nearby. Entrees were $34-$35 each and we had to pay for our salads.
Where is this headed? Get real! Its rice, beans and some mix if seafood or chicken. Free parking is appreciated in a town where parking is a nightmare.
Here's an idea, leftovers are not needed, seafood is smelly the next day anyway. Tourist really don't want them either. Cut portions, and cost and we will see you very often. Thanks
We had reservations and I am certainly glad we did with the crowd that was waiting . My wife and I are in our 90's and from now on when we can we will make reservations. Overall it was great
Service was excellent. It took quite some time to get our entree.
Had very nice dinner food was very good
Great visit was seated right away upstairs area very nice We ordered the popular salad it was very tasty and made table side I had the sea bass grilled very moist delicious with rice and seasoned vegetables my husband had the Cuban sandwich the mojito was outstanding best one ever!
Best place for an early Mother’s Day meal. Great soups, 1905 salad and Shrimp salteado ever! Cafe con Leche to top it off. Plus the Cuban bread and butter is superb.
Had a wonderful Mother’s Day lunch. The food was excellent and the server was very professional. I would love to go back.
This was our second time here. The food was excellent, it tasted better than the first time. A lot of flavor!! Service was excellent. I love the decor inside this place. Feels like I’m on vacation when I eat there. Prices are higher but not unreasonable. We will be back!
Excellent food and truly authentic. Sangria was delicious and the fresh warm personal loaf of bread is worth the trip
Love this place. Food and service are always great
Excellent! We were there for our 24th anniversary and we’re not disappointed.
Great food and Atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended with a minimum of 3 weeks of anticipation.
First time to the St. Augustine location and be warned get there early enough to find parking. Our dinner was OK...The salad was great, the bread perfect, the house wines incredible, the black beans and rice terrific. Our dinners however were bland, which surprised us , we will still always come back and this may have been just an off night and is still one of the best restaurants around
Whenever we visit St. Augustine we make a point of eating at the Columbia Restaurant. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere is relaxing, the service is impeccable yet never intrusive, and the facility is beautiful! Makes for wonderful memories every time we go!
For a smaller meal, order a cup of black bean soup, scallops on the tapas menu! Delicious! With the wonderful bread and butter, it’s perfect. Don’t skip the Flan, though! 😁. Tracy took really good care of us to make a delightful lunch.
The choices of food are Amazing. The quality of the sea food in the paella was super!’
We always have a great time at Columbia. We could just sit and eat the bread all day.
Charming Cuban restaurant with a beautiful setting. The sangria was great and the food was outstanding.
Not as good as previous years. The 1905 salad was disappointing no taste and wet, wilted lettuce. Cuban sandwich was very skimpy . Don't think we will return
Our food was cooked and seasoned to perfection!! Our server was not very attentive, somewhat indifferent
The Columbia was a wonderful place for dinner and drinks! Beautiful old building , well cared for and clean! The food was delicious, with a very extensive menu. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Strongly recommend!!
