I have been to the Columbia in Celebration, FL and was trying this location for the first time. Every bit as enjoyable. The service was first rate and the food was spectacular.
When a restaurant engages on Open Table it sets an expectation; Columbia did not meet the bar. My husband wanted to make our anniversary dinner extra special and he put specific info in the reservation booking. Columbia ignored the comments. When we arrived at reservation time, we were given the typical pager and told to hangout...why make a reservation? Then when the pager went off, we were taken to a table set for six????Huh??? Oh, wrong table....hostess didn’t know her tables, hangout and let her go check....one table over a table for four should work...I really don’t get why we made reservations, it really didn’t mean the restaurant would prepare for us, it just let them know they would have customers, maybe? The waiter quickly seemed apologetic for pricing and was more concerned with the best deal. Despite all that the kitchen saved this special night...with an amazing tapas appetizer, the Sangria and the paella....most nights would end with dessert but waiter didn’t even offer the dessert menu....last disappointment!
Everything was so very yummy! The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food is both authentic and unique. We hope to return soon!
Great place to eat good service great food should call ahead
very disappointed in the chicken and rice. It was very dry. The salad lettuce was welted and overall not that good. In the past I had had much better quality of food at the Columbia both in Ybor City and St. Agustin. I guess that the tourist trade is dictating the quality of the ingredients that you are serving at the present. Good Luck that is all I have to say.
I had been to Columbia before and took a date to lunch. We had the 1805 salad and it did not disappoint.
Sat outside and enjoyed the day.
My girlfriend and I were celebrating an extended Saint Valentines day. It was her first time at the Columbia House. She was impressed and quite pleased!
Having living in Spain, I was very happy to eat there.. :) My only gripe was watching one of the personnel setting up the table for the next patrons, accidentally dropped a pepper shaker on the floor , picking it up and putting the pepper shaker on the table without wiping it off or putting a different one on the table..
Our Waitress name was Audrey. She was very informative of the menu with our few questions we had. Very friendly, very nice all around. She gave me & my fiancé a very quiet dining experience. I would love to her wait on us again and again. I can the passion & professionalism she has. The food was like a art painting, priceless and very delightful
