About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Good for groups
Family-owned and operated for more than 116 years, Columbia has earned acclaim for its old-world charm and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the dining room.

Join us for century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Roast Pork "a la Cubana," and fresh seafood specialties.

Don’t miss Columbia’s Original “1905” Salad®, prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a 100-year-old family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil.

Be sure to sample a fine Spanish wine like Montecillo or Campillo. Relax in our courtyard or Mediterranean-style dining rooms, filled with hundreds of hand-painted tiles and Spanish-style fountains.

We are a sister to the Columbia in Tampa's Ybor City, founded in 1905. Children's menu available. Open 365-days a year, including all holidays.

You can NOT go wrong with Columbia. Food and service are consistently excellent. It's a must dine restaurant when in one of the cities with a Columbia location.

Waited over 20 minutes for water at the table. Finally got up and got our own from the bar. Entrees arrived before our appetizers. Had to reorder as server didn’t check with kitchen about an ingredient we had asked about and didn’t think to tell kitchen about e allergies which we had communicated to her. Supervisor tried to step in and help which as appreciated, but overall too little too late. We’ve been to this Columbia as well as the one in Orlando (much better by the way) a number if times any generally have a t time - just not this time.

The presentation of mixing our Sangria drinks, mixing the gazpacho, and preparing our entrees in front of us was worth dining at the Columbia Restaurant. Our server did an excellent job explaining the history of the different recipes. We would suggest making reservation because this restaurant is very good and popular.

The round table where we were seated allowed conversation to occur (there were 7 of us). However, when the food started to come, the table soon became crowded. The plates were on top of each other.

Restaurant was fine food and service was good. The reason for the low rating is that 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant I got an additional charge on my credit card. I got the charge for my meal and for a couple items from the gift shop but nothing to explain this later charge. I called the restaurant immediately and the young lady went to get a manager who were all too busy to talk at that time but said they would call back soon. 24 hours and counting and no call. Not sure I want to do business with a company that does not take this seriously.

The 1905 was amazing as always as well as the Chicken Manchego. We tried the Paella this visit, it was very colorful and full of flavor.

I am a long-time patron. This was the first time I encountered any problem while there and the staff was very quick to correct the issue. Everyone makes mistakes; it is how you deal with it to correct and they did a great job. I'll be returning.
