I have wanted to come to the Columbia for years. We own 3 seafood restaurants in Orlando and love trying other family owned restaurants. Here was my take: Hostess was prompt and quick but not friendly. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, able to read the table and in control of her station. Bus boy was fast, friendly, and clean. Food was exceptional except my wife's pompano was way overcooked. When my wife told our waitress (I think Amanda) about the pompano, she immediately took care of the issue in a satisfactory way. We will be back. Loved our wine - loved the service - loved the ambience - loved all the food but the pompano

It was a cool night and the restaurant was cold and uncomfortable to dine in. The food was tasty however the meat was tough and chewy in both diners dinner order.

My wife’s meal was cold parts of it appeared to have been microwaved, her meal was then replaced for a 1905 salad (her favorite) but yet it to was soggy due to the amount of dressing n condiments. This is the FIRST time this has happened.

Fantastic! Paella was superb, portions were generous. There was bread served first, if we knew that we would not have ordered an appetizer.

The 1905 salad is a must to share at your table. Rebecca was our server and she was exceptional. I’ve been going here for over 20 years and it is consistently delicious.

This is a beautiful restaurant with very good service, but the main courses cannot stand up against the Tampa location. Keep it simple by ordering tapas & salads and you will be ok - but stay away from the overpriced and poor quality main items.

We went for tapas and we were very pleased with our selections. The waiter was very friendly and made some good recommendations. The sangria was average but the bread pudding was outstanding. We'd go back as the menu is large and varied.

The shrimp in two of our orders had too much added salt. This is unusual here. The 1905 salad was great as usual as was the flan.

This restaurant was recommended by close friends. They had even told us what to order. I was not disappointed. The food was delicious. The ambiance was beyond compare. I am definitely glad that this was our last restaurant to eat at while in the area. I would have compared this restaurant to any other we ate at. Our waiter, was thoughtful and understood what dishes our friends had recommended. His timing and manors were prefect. The 1905 salad was delicious with so many daring flavors that made the dish tasty. Our main yummy dishes were stuffed shrimp and a delicious fish cooked over potatoes, tomatoes and onions. The flan was delicious and melted on my tongue. Perfect with espresso coffee. Everyone was polite with smiles and had warm wishes for us. The gift shop was well stocked with any pottery for any kitchen to add a splash of fun and all different patterns. I love this place. I would be in trouble if I lived close. I would eat here very often like weekly or maybe daily.

The Columbia restaurant is my absolute favorite restaurant. The drinks and food are always delectable. The servers are extremely helpful/knowledgeable and the ambiance is truly authentic. No matter what the occasion - from dinner for two or wedding receptions, I highly recommend it.

We have been here before, but not for many years and it was just as we remembered! Expensive! My husband ordered the grilled salmon & I ordered the grilled grouper. Both portions were very large and delicious. We also ordered the calamari which was good, but we do not like the tentacles and there were a lot of them. We easily could have gotten by with the appetizer and the salad. The 1905 Salad is so simple, yet so delicious! Everything was great including the glass of sangria we each had. We will be back again I'm sure!

Made reservations for our first anniversary. We immediately were seated in a nice cove location. We order a bottle of wine and ordered our meals. Both of our dinners arrived cold. Not even warm! I received the wrong steak, similar but not the $36 dollar filet that I ordered. Told one of the servers it was not the plate I ordered. TWO MINUTES LATER, it was brought back to me with the mushroom sauce on top and she flambe'd it. The filet I ordered was with mashed potatoes and spinach, which I didn't receive.
I believe these steaks are precooked to rare, medium, and well. They have seating for 400 people . The Sat. Night we went there was a 45 minute wait for people without a reservation.
We will NOT return.

We were excited about the menu options and our lovely server and hostess made us feel very comfortable. It was very noisy due to a large celebration next to our table. The restaurant was busy and unfortunately our food arrived barely warm. It had taken a long time to be served and at that point we didn’t want to wait for our food to be reheated. So we left disappointed

I was torn with this review because in the past we have had great dining experiences here. This last time the service was very slow ( long time to order and she disappeared for long periods of time) and all the dishes were unusually salty. I had requested a table in a quiet, romantic area and this request was fulfilled (maybe that is why we were somewhat forgotten). Ambience is wonderful, it is a beautiful restaurant.

The table next to us was very noisy...a party table of 8. So please seat the patrons away from this table, not next to them! Seniors have difficulty hearing...consider that, too.
Your food and service was excellent!

My wife and I had a fantastic Tapas dinner here and every thing was delicious and just as we expected it to be. The service was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. I had the black bean soup which I have always enjoyed at Columbia, and the Tapas brought back memories of out trip to Spain several years ago.

My husband's family is from Spain and he had the Paella with Chicken and Shrimp. It is very close to what his Mother used to make! We had family that came down to St. Augustine for a wedding and we had them meet us for lunch before they headed back to Michigan on Sunday. Three of us had the Seafood Paella and the other two had the 7 Ports. We all enjoyed our meals!

This was our first time at the Columbia restaurant and will definitely not be our last! Our server (Tom) was absolutely wonderful ... from the preparation and presentation of our Sangria and salad to his personalized recommendations. Dinner was fantastic (and don't even get me started on that melt-in-your-mouth Cuban bread served warm to your table). We ordered dessert to go which we enjoyed later that evening after our walking tour of St. Augustine.
