When a restaurant engages on Open Table it sets an expectation; Columbia did not meet the bar. My husband wanted to make our anniversary dinner extra special and he put specific info in the reservation booking. Columbia ignored the comments. When we arrived at reservation time, we were given the typical pager and told to hangout...why make a reservation? Then when the pager went off, we were taken to a table set for six????Huh??? Oh, wrong table....hostess didn’t know her tables, hangout and let her go check....one table over a table for four should work...I really don’t get why we made reservations, it really didn’t mean the restaurant would prepare for us, it just let them know they would have customers, maybe? The waiter quickly seemed apologetic for pricing and was more concerned with the best deal. Despite all that the kitchen saved this special night...with an amazing tapas appetizer, the Sangria and the paella....most nights would end with dessert but waiter didn’t even offer the dessert menu....last disappointment!
Great place to eat good service great food should call ahead
Everything was so very yummy! The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food is both authentic and unique. We hope to return soon!
very disappointed in the chicken and rice. It was very dry. The salad lettuce was welted and overall not that good. In the past I had had much better quality of food at the Columbia both in Ybor City and St. Agustin. I guess that the tourist trade is dictating the quality of the ingredients that you are serving at the present. Good Luck that is all I have to say.
I had been to Columbia before and took a date to lunch. We had the 1805 salad and it did not disappoint.
Sat outside and enjoyed the day.
Having living in Spain, I was very happy to eat there.. :) My only gripe was watching one of the personnel setting up the table for the next patrons, accidentally dropped a pepper shaker on the floor , picking it up and putting the pepper shaker on the table without wiping it off or putting a different one on the table..
Our Waitress name was Audrey. She was very informative of the menu with our few questions we had. Very friendly, very nice all around. She gave me & my fiancé a very quiet dining experience. I would love to her wait on us again and again. I can the passion & professionalism she has. The food was like a art painting, priceless and very delightful
Great restaurant. We had the pollo manchego and the pallomilla steak, both phenomenal. We also shared the queso fundido and sangria which were a huge hit! Would return.
Great food. We come here ofter for the great salad and Spanish dishes.
It was our wedding anniversary. We drove up from Titusville about 100 miles just for lunch. Great food. Will do it again.
Excellent food and service. Always a special treat!
Service is slow. They have great salads, but need more staff.
This restaurant was very good and had great food, it is accurately priced for the quality of the food and service, can't beat being in downtown St. Augustine as well. Would recommend to anyone.
Very very dry kitchen. We told the server assistant. All she did was apologize.
Second time here; food is exquisite, totally worth the price, even if it was pricey. Ambiance was ok, full on Valentine's Day. Probably that's why the service was regular. But is a good place to lunch or dine fine Spanish cuisine.
Excellent dinner . Had 1605 salad, Delish, and paella delish Audray our waitress was wonderful.
Would come again when we are in town. Many interesting dishes. Good service AND NO WAIT!
Anniversary dinner. We will definitely revisit someday
Great time by all six of us, table ready ahead of reservation time. Great
Excellent service by Jenn our server. Food was outstanding. Great experience, we plan to return.
Columbia is always a favorite for us. This time it was Valentine's Day. I made reservation late and this was one of our favorites that still was available. It was a good choice.
Upscale dining for locals as well as tourists. Prices reflect the location and portions are very large. I highly recommend getting their scallop dishes as two of the 4 of us had that and they were spectacular. James, our server, did an outstanding job of attending to our table. Best meal we have had in St. Augustine so far.
We have eaten here for 30 years, on several occasions, and never been disappointed. This is a choice spot to take guests for authentic Cuban food, wonderful Columbia salads, fish, etc. Our server, Danuca, was outstanding.
We are never disappointed with the food and service here, always great!
Awesome place. Great service. Food was phenomenal. And definitely get the sangria
Great place to celebrate any special occasion. Perfect, actually!
Great food and service.
We have been to your restaurant many times and the food has always been great. This time was exceptional. Great food and great service . Thank you so much
Early Valentine’s Day dinner to me and my future wife of 5 years . Dinner was amazing food and atmosphere was very good. I’m glad i choice this place to dine at. Made up for not being able to spend valentine’s day with her and having the ability to spend time with her last night before working at the hospital with my patients. Thank you for the outstanding services and I will be recommending this place to other people and couples.
Nice chain restaurant in St Augustine, it has a nice Spanish motif, very large menu because it describes the history of the recipe, from small Tapas dishes to a variety of food, we had the Cakes de Cangrejo, A Cuban twist to an American favorite, two large crab cakes are loaded with fresh blue crab meat and grilled. Drizzled with a passion fruit alioli sauce. Also Paella “a la Valenciana”. , prepared in a traditional paella pan, with waiter serving on the plate, features clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, calamari, chicken and pork, baked with Valencia rice, extra
virgin olive oil, green peppers, Spanish onions, tomatoes, garlic, spices and splashed with white
wine. Seafood was good, pork and chicken overdone, it takes about 30 minutes to prepare the dish.
Overall good food, service and ambiance.
