About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Good for groups
Family-owned and operated for more than 116 years, Columbia has earned acclaim for its old-world charm and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the dining room.

Join us for century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Roast Pork "a la Cubana," and fresh seafood specialties.

Don’t miss Columbia’s Original “1905” Salad®, prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a 100-year-old family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil.

Be sure to sample a fine Spanish wine like Montecillo or Campillo. Relax in our courtyard or Mediterranean-style dining rooms, filled with hundreds of hand-painted tiles and Spanish-style fountains.

We are a sister to the Columbia in Tampa's Ybor City, founded in 1905. Children's menu available. Open 365-days a year, including all holidays.

Food was incredible! The “Scallops Casimiro” are a must try for any scallop lovers and “The 1905” was easily one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Danica was an incredible waitress and was attentive despite arriving on a very busy night. The ambiance and setting were lovely. Would absolutely return and recommend.

Red Snapper Adelita was overcooked. Rice was blah. We were seated right by the kitchen door.

The Columbia is more than a restaurant, it’s a dining experience. The food, ambience and service exceed expectations consistently. We go anytime we are in St Augustine. We recommend the black bean cakes, stuffed piquillo peppers, 1905 salad, and most importantly- THE MOJITOS. Always a treat, never disappoints. Because of this, there is most often a wait. We recommend making a reservation through OpenTable if you can.

Food was excellent and so was the service. We ate upstairs and the temp was perfect, not hot but also not freezing like some places. Will definitely eat here again.

Excellent experience at Columbia Restaurant in St. Augustine. Our server was attentive and professional, and our 1905 salads were delightful and beautifully made. Very busy location but the staff makes you feel special and appreciated. Well done👏🏻💯🍸
