My birthday
Had Open Table res for 6:30 that we weren't able to keep - I called - could only get 8:15 to replace. Arrived early to check - not the friendliest hostess' - very curt and sorry can't do anything. 8:15 got here - not seated yet - acted like they were doing us a favor with finding us a table at 8:25!! So, SO many empty tables - WHY??
Food was good but what with the table situation, the luster was off the evening. Bonnie our waitress was great - one saving grace!!
We love it there
Excellent food, good service. The wait staff even sang Feliz Cumpleaños to our friend. M
Food was different from most local restaurants. Well prepared and very tasty.
Lunch menu included dinner entrees that were not very well prepared. My wife ordered yellow rice and chicken (white meat) and the server brought her leg and thigh and said there was no white meat available. I think they could have informed her of the change in advance and given another choice. The manager took her order off the check but her lunch was unsatisfactory. and the food prep was poor.
We travel to the Columbia with our guests and have have go od food and service in the past, but this was a terrible experience and will not be back.
This was my grandfathers favorite restaurant and it was a treat to return on my trip. I very much enjoyed it.
We are very easy going diners but this service was horrible from start to finish. Not to mention they forgot my food and no one even came over to address it. They just brought it at the end of the rest of my families meals. Worst meal we have had in quite some time. Will not return.
We were a little disappointed as we had heard the food was amazing. I lived in south Florida for 20 years and often visited local Cuban/Columbia restaurants so I was disappointed as the food was mediocre compared to what time is used to.
Bachelorette party lunch
Delicious food and fantastic service! Our party had a gluten allergy and the staff and kitchen were readily available to meet our needs!
First of all this is a tourist trap at best. The side dining room behind the hostess stand is the loudest room I have ever dined in. My ears are still ringing !!!! The “Littlest Colombian” checking on your meal and service was more interested in making excuses. The food was exceptionally average. Not worth a second chance.
For the price of the food it wasn't what I expected 2 of the 4 in our party said they wouldn't go back.
Absolutely lovely setting. The ambiance is perfect, it was clean and very well appointed. The service was excellent- the meal was slow in coming though. If it had been awesome that would have been fine. Two people had the roasted pork- both were dry and their plantains were served five minutes into dinner. My Mahi Mahi was chewy and not a good piece. My mother-in-law ordered a Chopped salad. In the past it had been a regular salad with lots of veggies. This was a huge plate of chopped tomatoes. Although tasty not what was expected.
Just disappointing as far as food.
My wife and I loved our Cuban sandwich and their 1905 famous salad. The staff was AMAZING!!!
Great Cuban food! Sangria is the best! We stop here everytime we vacation!
Had heard so many good things about this place from locales. The service and decor was excellent. The Cuban Sampler was so, so. The grilled grouper seemed previously frozen (not sure) but definitely cooked until dry and ruined. The fresh seasonal vegetables had sat in a steam tray too long and were mushy. Great mojito.
Our server was great. Oliver. Wife had the cannelloni logosta. Bit too much sauce. I had the paella Valenciana. Very good. Price on the moderate side. Overall very good.
They are not the restaurant they were a couple of years ago. The last two times that my wife and I have eaten here the service has been slow and inattentive. Today the food very average. Ordered Grouper dry side/ lite garlic... came out blackened. Certainly did not send back after waiting for 45 minutes! "Not the Special Place" that it used to be. Definitely not worth an $80 lunch. Have no interest in returning. Appears that they have turned this into just another tourist destination. Kudos go to Danielle the manager who finally got us taken care of! Really sad that they have changed so much!
Great experience! The food was fantastic. The mules were amazing!
We were looking forward to eating here but were a bit disappointed. The food was average, we eat cuban food often, always trying new places as well as my MIL'S homemade cuban food as she is from Cuba. Columbia restaurant was not the best, just average. We were looking forward to trying the flan which was on the menu but didn't get a chance to order since as soon as we were done with our food the waiter brought us our check as he started taking away dinner plates before we could even ask for flan.
Perfect Dinner Date!!!💕
Delicious. Waiter was ok... but not as much personality as some we overheard. Still it was pleasant.
We've eaten another Columbia House - Sarasota (3 or 4 times) - which is why we wanted to try this one.
The experience was just as EXCELLENT! ! ! The ambiance at St.Augustine MIGHT have been SLIGHTLY better (A few less people due to the pandemic??) Looking forward to returning to Columbia House asap......
Service is always phenomenal. Food is just as phenomenal.
Famous and so busy. Not the restaurants fault. Would go back.
Loved our dinner at Columbia. The sangria was delicious and Juan was so helpful with helping us understand the menu. Enjoyed the beautiful decor and this jewel in the middle of this historic city.
Beautiful ambiance, the food was delicious, especially the unique salad. The homemade bread so fresh.
The waitress was lovely and attentive. The paella was disappointing for the price. It had only 2 shrimp, 2 mussels, one of which was bad, and a few miniscule calamari. Also, the dish was very salty. The chicken and yellow rice Ybor, had no green peppers, onions or tomatoes. The Cakes de Cangrejo were tasty but too, a little on the salty side. The white sangria was delicious and so was the bread and the black bean soup. I would recommend the restaurant for the atmosphere and maybe choose different entrees.
Danika was an excellent server and the food was fantastic as always!
The food , atmosphere, and service were wonderful
Nice service from front desk and wait staff, which was the only good thing. Food was bland beyond belief - we had six tapas, the red snapper and cannelloni. Flavorless! Hard to believe the positive reviews and so disappointed.
Easter Sunday dinner. Service was extremely slow. Server seemed spread to thin. Pork Roast was dry and my lamb came out roo. Temp. When they replaced the lamb it was excellent. Took a long time both time we ordered our Sangria pitchers. Have eaten here before and not what I was expecting as far as servi e level. Overall was okay and I would try again, just not on a holiday.
very busy Easter Sunday service was slower than usual
Easter Sunday with the family
I took my wife for her birthday it was wonderful make sure to get the 1905 salad
Great service by Kelly and always great food! Made our Easter meal a real pleasure.
From the atmosphere, to the food, to the service, you can't go wrong with the Columbia. We have dined there for many years!
My favorite of the Columbias , We never go to St Augustine without coming to the Columbia . Love the grouper and the snapper Adelita .
The restraint was great. We arrived early so we walked around outside a bit. That was a madhouse. Very crowded streets.
It was nice to get inside the restaurant where there things were civilized
