Columbia Restaurant - St. Augustine
The 1905 salad is the best. Have it as a meal! Everything was great. Attentive staff.
Always good Cuban food!
Great meal and service! 1905 salad with shrimp was outstanding! Good bread too. Sangria was delicious. We always enjoy eating here when we visit!
Everything was perfect! Will visit again!
Beautiful restaurant, lots of selections. We all enjoyed our meals. My daughters very simple meal of grilled chicken was delicious. Such fabulous flavor, it took a little longer for this menu item, well worth the wait. I don’t know how they got that much flavor into that juicy piece of chicken! White chocolate bread pudding was amazing.
The food is always good. They were very busy but service was good. Highly recommended
We dined here again. We usually order the paella because you can go wrong. This time my husband had the rib eye and I had seafood over pasta. Both were excellent but the steak was cooked to perfection and one of the best my husband has had, his claim. We would highly recommend Columbia and will be back.
As always seated as soon as we checked in for the reservation... Everyone there was gracious also as usual. Food was on point and the wait from order to table very acceptable. I have nothing bad to say... I’ve been there several times a year for 5 years now and will continue to make it a stop when in St Augustine..
Every time we come to town to visit my mom, we take her to Columbia. She jokes that we come to visit the restaurant, and just bring her along. The 1905 salad is my favorite, and it was fantastic, as usual. We ordered an assortment of dishes, and all were wonderful. It is a beautiful building, and the staff are always attentive. The waitress this time was super amazing, instead of just great. We were celebrating my birthday, and after my husband mentioned it, she surprised us with a free dessert, a candle, and a serenade that many waiters/waitresses joined in. It was perfect!
Always excellent good. Fabulous server, but it was very slow getting our food. They did give us a discount and dessert. But Alexis was a great server.
Good food, though the paella could have been a bit warmer.
I have been there many time. For some reason we arrived at 5:30 our order was taken about 6:00 . The bread and salads were brought in about 15 minutes and at 7:15 the server came by to say there was a backup in kitchen and ours was the next one out. Then we waited until after 7:30 before the food came and then the server had to take mine back to kitchen I do not know why and I started eating about 8:00. That was totally unacceptable and for 30.00 dollars per meal plus tip that was way below what I was familiar with in the past
Not impressed. We were promptly seated at our reservation time of 5:00 which was great. Then it was all downhill from there. We were a group of 6 people and we did not leave until after 7:00, We spent more time waiting then actually eating. The food was just okay. Definitely, not worth the 30 minute drive. I don't think I will be returning.
Never a disappointment! Excellently always. We took a couple whom had never been and they absolutely loved it. Can’t wait too return been thinking about that delicious salad and yummy Jimmy grouper.
Food was excellent, service was alittle slow but we will definitely be back
We frequently go to the Columbia for special occasions and meet friends to celebrate. Have always had good food, good service and great atmosphere. I definitely recommend their restaurant.
Went here for the first time. Good menus but was jot blown away. Seems like the staff presents the same food all the time and has no real passion for what they are serving. Overall ok.
Amazing food. Busy place. OK ambiance. Marginal service. In all fairness our waiter was new and the restaurant was very busy but bringing the wine after the meal was finished and not clearing dirty dishes is a problem that just shouldn't happen.
I love Columbia restaurants! This visit to the St Augustine location was just as good as our experience in Clearwater although it was very busy and a little loud. But we were there for the FOOD which did not disappoint! Had the Columbia 1905 salad and grilled sea bass - amazing flavor!!! And a lovely Chardonnay. Only thing I wish we hadn’t ordered was the key lime pie which was too sweet to eat .
Delicious food, great sangria and fun time with friends. Our server, Tracy Lynn was the best!
Food was good. Little loud but we where right beside door and check in. Our waiter didn’t know the menu very well and way to serious.
Always a wonderful experience, I always have the sane thing and never disappointed. The salad is heaven.
I am always amazed at how well everything turns out for the size of this establishment. It is hard to produce such large quantities of food with consistent quality. The quality for the size of the restaurant is impressive.
The Cuban food is better than the Spanish food (more authentic); but, all in all, a great experience time and again.
Great food and great service
We loved the place, the food and the service. Our waiter Dani, was very nice and professional. We liked it so much that we went back the next day without a reservation. We sat at the bar and had sangria and tapas. Their bread is delicious. The only thing that I didn’t like was the Crema Catalana. It was not close to the real one. Other than that, yes I recommend this place. Next time, I’ll try their flan.
Our wait staff Jess was very helpful and attentive to us. We enjoyed our orders: house red, 1905 salad, mussels and chorizo, and shrimp gambas, and for dessert churros with the 3 sauces. It was our anniversary and we were given a complimentary flan. Overall, a nice dining experience.
I used to live here and looked forward to bringing my coworkers when coming back in town for a conference. It did not disappoint! We had a party of eight, and all enjoyed every bit of it.
Short wait on our reserved table, great food, good service
Excellent flavor and presentation. Seafood dishes were all great. Will definitely return.
Birthday dinner with family. The food and service were very good and professional. The piaya auntreys are large and can easily be shared by two. Many shareable tapas plates make for a variety of fun tastes.
The food was very disappointing: mahi mahi was overcooked and dry, empanadas were doughy, cold, and greasy (not freshly made), and the "good" rice was greasy as well. Service was distracted and lackluster. We were not thanked at the end. And we were sorry we came 🙄
Food is always wonderful. They did not blink at our two wheelchairs plus a baby. Space is beautiful. I would say anyone visiting St Augustine HAS to go there.
Food (grilled sea bass) had no flavor and service was extremely slow
Shaun was the best!Food excellent. Always wonderful
The food was good. Our only problem was that the waiter had too many tables or was not that good.
The menu is ambitious but exquisite. Of course we shared a 1905 salad. Phil ordered the veal special of the day and it was fabulous. I ordered the paella which was cooked to perfection. Crystal is a great waitress and made some excellent recommendations along with her superb service. She even took a photo of us, we don’t have very many of us so it is very special and deeply appreciated. Flan is too yummy for words, still licking my lips. Only negative is that eventually you have to leave.
We are not accustomed to eating very large dinners, so we worked with our waitress to select tapas, salad and dessert, including sharing of the salad and dessert. All of the food was well prepared, tasty and well presented. Yum!
Service was excellent. Sangria made table side was excellent. We also liked the 1905 salad made table side while we chatted with the waitress. We also shared tapas which were tasty. This was a fun experience overall. We’ll go again.
