   Columbia is one of our favorite Sarasota/Loog Boat Key restaurants! The service is friendly and prompt. Our favorite is the 1905 Salad! It’s a fun place to watch at all the shoppers walking around.

   We have visited Columbia many times and always had a great meal however last night was a complete bust. We had booked for 7pm and arrived at 6:45. We were told our table wasn’t ready and to wait at the bar. At 7:15 we went back to the stand and was told our server wasn’t ready. 10 minutes later we were shown to a table and then ignored whilst other tables were seated and served. Our order was eventually taken but then nothing. By 8pm we had had enough and decided enough was enough and we would leave. We informed the staff at the stand and they called the manager who apologised and asked that we stay and have the meal which was ready. We did so and he comped the meal which was good. However I would rather have paid and had an enjoyable experience.

   The food was great and the service is great too. I also think it’s a good value for the type of food your served for the price. Very reasonable. We haven’t been there in over a year and it was the same great food. We will be back.

   Where to begin???? The entire evening was an experience to talk about to all! From the wait staff, CHEERS to Alonso - he’s was fun, attentive and had a fun personality. Starting with the house soup, to the 1905 salad prepared at table side, so fun to watch…….The appetizer was tasty along with the House recommended mojito and old fashion. Will visit again for sure.

   Excellent food at a reasonable price. Our server, Alonzo, was outstanding!! One of our favorite restaurants in Sarasota.

   Columbia restaurant is always very good. There was a little difficulty with your air conditioning because the condensation was dripping from the ceiling and it dripped on my arm so we asked to move the table which we moved about a foot over from where it was at. it’s really not their fault just being up and running after hurricane is amazing. I asked if there was a crab shrimp rellano that they could do and they did, but it did not come with tortillas so it was more like a soup however it was delicious and the chef made an excellent attempt so I appreciated that. The salad as always way out of this world.

   Our goal is to always answer, "Yes, we can!" We don't have tortillas, because we're a Spanish and Cuban restaurant, but we're glad to hear you enjoyed nonetheless.

    It was a very busy Mother’s Day and everything went smoothly. My first impression was that the wait staff, including at the bar are all trained in a certain style. They are all pleasant, and move to the side when a customer walks by. Our waiter was very friendly, was familiar with all the dishes we asked about. The food presentation was excellent. Each of us chose different dishes and they were loved by everyone. I like the outside area as it is a little quieter.
