Waterfront dining at its finest! Family-owned & operated for more than 112 years, Columbia has earned acclaim for its old-world charm & award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men.

Choose a table looking out onto the radiant blue waters of the Intracoastal Waterway from the Mediterranean dining room, or experience the casual atmosphere from our outdoor deck on the water.

Join us for century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Filet Mignon "Columbia," & fresh seafood specialties. Sample a fine Spanish wine like Montecillo or Campillo.

We are a sister to the Columbia in Tampa's Ybor City, founded in 1905. Children's menu available. Open 365-days a year, including all holidays.

Fantastic, just as it was 20 years ago. Delicious, big portions, great service, reasonably priced.

Stephan was an great waiter. His wit, humor, and information was enjoyed by everyone. Personally, I enjoyed it so much that my tip was twice what might be considered normal.

Food is absolutely delicious. We are never disappointed. We started with the tapas sampler - shrimp supreme, chorizo, & empanadas. Unbelievably good. I had stuffed grouper that came with yellow rice & fresh veggies. I loved every morsel. Friends had ropa vieja which I’ve had before many times. Yummy! Platanos are scrumptious. My husband had the Marilyn & Joe, a classic offering of steak, shrimp & pork. He finished every bite. Thank you Columbia for another memorable meal!

Had a reservation, seated outside. The problem was that there was construction going on next door which the hostess failed to tell us. Nothing like having dinner at a work site..

Great ambiance and a promising menu. Unfortunately, it still came off as a large chain. Poor attention from staff. Sangria promised to be made tableside was brought completed and tasted unimpressive. Salad was extremely basic, and heart of palm seemed to come from a can. Paella was disappointing: oily but beans were dry when bit into. Overall, a great setting - sitting on the water, beautiful colors and theme, but the food was mediocre and service poor.

We are locals, and always enjoy going to Columbia's Sand Key location. The food is delicious, servers are very friendly and accommodating and we love that we can reserve through Open Table. Reservations can only be made for the main dining room (not outside) and you can't reserve with a special request, but once you arrive you can ask for something special and they will try and accommodate if you are willing to wait a little longer and if it isn't super busy.

The view is terrific. The restaurant pretty. That the good news. The cocktails were luke warm and undrinkable. The food bland and 2 of the four dishes were not hot. The server was MIA most if the time and getting water was a challenge.

Love taking 1st timers to the Columbia!
Our friends, visitors to Sand Key, who had not been to this restaurant were blown away by the menu! There were 6 of us for dinner and of course, we call enjoyed the 1905 Salad and warm Cuban bread. Just what is the secret to that 1905 Salad??????
For dinner, I ordered the Scallop Tapa. 3 people ordered the Paella on our recommendation and were not disappointed, quite the opposite! The other 2 enjoyed the Cannollini with Lobster....just something out of this world! The guys had beers and the ladies enjoyed with White Sangria with Cava - the only way to go!!
Can't wait to go again....

I made reservations for my company’s leadership team to cap off a long day of meetings. I was very pleased they were able to accommodate outdoor seating. We ordered way too much food but I was glad we did because I got to try it all. The 1905 salad was scrumptious and a meal in itself. The bread was delicious and I don’t eat bread anymore. I could have stopped after the tapas we enjoyed. I particularly liked the crab cakes but the croquettes were also good. My mojito was sublime. I was stuffed by the time my pollo manchego arrived but it was tasty. My husband had the snapper jimmy with crab and enjoyed it. We all enjoyed the good rice. I had to sample the key lime pie. It was good but I’ve had better in the keys. Columbia is worth a visit! Me go time I’d try paella but it requires half an hour warning

We went with friends as our husbands had recent birthdays. The food is as always, very tasty and abundant (a winning combination). Our waiter had a wonderfully dry sense of humor and it was an enjoyable experience!

Our anniversary so we were looking for a special meal. Our whole experience was awesome. Great waiter Julio-food and wine were perfect. Close to where we live so we would definitely return. Our table by the window gave us a great view of the innercoastal.

Columbia In Sand Key is one of our favorite restaurants. I usually get the Pompano or Red Snapper. My Pompano this time wasn't as spicy as usual but it was still very tasty. My wife really enjoyed her meal. The service was very nice. I recommend Columbia to anyone who asks me for a nice restaurant to go for dinner Clearwater/St. Pete area. We take all of our visitors to the Columbia for dinner.

Service and view excellent. Chix was good, rice kind of mushy & way too big of a portion. Bread excellent. Cuban okay, 1905 salad excellent.
