Columbia was referred by a local and we were not disappointed. The food was out of this world. Views of the bay were great.
We ordered the Paella Velenciana. The ratio of seafood to rice was EXTREMELY poor ! Based on the dish we received, they’re only interested in abusing the tourist clientele and aren’t looking to build a local clientele. The service was slow. Had to depend on the waitress to fill the water. Value is extremely poor, no way to build a returning business ! Won’t be returning any time soon !
Authentic Spanish / Cuban influence in ambiance and cuisine. Service was attentive and food delicious with ample portions. Can be crowded so reservations recommended.
The food was great. Eric was very accommodating for food allergies that my nephew and niece had. Thanks!
Must see ... it’s an experience. Table side mojito pitcher and made to order Paella.
Columbia was amazing! The food was awesome and service impeccable! A definite stop if you are visiting the area
Great food and service. Selection is fantastic. Inside dinning temperature was cold. Bring a sweater.
Great location on the inter coastal, food and service was exceptional.
We took my 88 year old mother there for her birthday. She has been there before and likes it.
We had a very nice early dinner. Our server was wonderful. I want to go back for the tapas and appetizers next time.
Columbia has consistently great meals and very attentive waitstaff. Good view as well.
Food was below average. It was certainly below expectations.
We had a fantastic delicious dinner here on our family vacation. What a great huge menu, so unique and everything was delicious.
We celebrated our 19th date anniversary there! !! We got the best table with a romantic view. Juan did a very good job taking care of us. We really enjoyed. I recommended decrease on black pepper. ...... .The Restaurant is so beautiful! !!
excellent! The paella was so good. Fresh sangria and the cubans!
Columbia restaurants are one of our favorite places to eat. Wonderful atmosphere and great food at reasonable prices. Excellent service as well.
We usually dine outdoors but due to the weather we asked to be seated inside. We had a table by a large palm tree so we felt like we were outside. 2 of us ordered the Marilyn & Joe which we both enjoyed very much. The portion was so large, we enjoyed having it again the next night at home. This dish has many different meats (tenderloin tips, chicken, pork, chorizo and shrimp) with onions, mushroom, green peppers and diced potatoes served with yellow rice. The sauce/gravy is very good.
I ordered the 1905 salad (delicious) and Grouper "Jimmy" a nice sized Red Grouper fillet grilled w/crabmeat on top. This came w/good rice & asparagus.
I too took some home so I could enjoy the bread pudding (2 lg. pieces in an order). My husband ordered the Spanish bean soup and Veal "La Reina Isabella" which was similar to my dish only w/thin veal covered in Cuban bread crumbs. Lastly, our daughter (has food allergies) ordered chorizo w/gluten free crackers. She ordered the Flan for dessert which she has had before. The special dessert was bizcocho choco fresas which was a delicious chocolate dessert. We are never disappointed at this Columbia Restaurant on Sand Key! We dine here 3 times a year and are from out-of-state.
Matt was our server and told us while talking that it was his first night serving alone! We were so impressed. He did an excellent job making suggestions and answering our questions. He was also very sensitive to my shellfish allergy. We recommend that you ask for Matt when you arrive! - The Packer fan sisters from Wisconsin
Great place! Memorable food.
2 salads and a 1/2 bottle of wine - $63.64 which included a small tip for the poor service we received from our server, Jessica H. We have been visiting Colombia Restaurants for 40 years but typically dine in Tampa. We have been to each of the locations with the exception of Celebration. This was worst experience ever. We explained to Jessica H that we were on Keto and did not want any carbs since she did not have to bring breads perhaps that's why we were ignored? We each ordered 1905 Salad with Shrimp. We gladly paid the up-charge but really 4 medium sized shrimp! We should have stuck with the ham if we knew (omitted when paying extra for shrimp) Very little protein with just 4 Shrimp... Very disappointing. Our water glasses were never refilled. Suppose Jessica did not like that we did not order entrees?
Service has always been good. Food has moved up from good to very good. Ambiance is a perfect ‘10’. Lovely evening as always .
BTW we are locals who dine here 3-4 times a year.
We wanted a special restaurant to celebrate a birthday with out-of -town family. I've been here before, and this experience did not disappoint. Family loved it.
Outstanding dinner experience with excellent service
The good was good but expensive. The view was great but our waiter wasn’t.
Excellent service, food, presentation and atmosphere. Truly was a 5 Star evening. Our server Dave, did a wonderful job. He was very personable and helpful.
THIS WAS MY 1ST TIME & LAST TIME AT THIS RESTAURANT. OUR WAITER WAS SO UNPLEASANT THAT HE SINGLE-HANDLEDLY RUINED OUR WEEKLY LADIES DINNER OUT.
1905 salad is the most amazing thing ever. And the bread is incredible. Both our meals were good but a bit too salty.
One of our best overall dining experiences while on vacation. Food quality, ambiance and service from our professional waiter Stephan were all excellent. Plan on returning very soon!
The Columbia Restaurant is a very old and historic place to eat. The original started in Tampa over 50 years ago and has expanded to other locations...the one I went to with my sister is located near Clearwater Beach and was wonderful!! Loved the historic salad (tossed at the table). If you go, you really should make a reservation because it does get busy and louder the later it gets in the evening.
This is a beautiful location and our server, Juan, was phenomenal. I love the chicken and yellow rice and 1905 salad. It’s normally a lovely experience. Two things that cast a negative shadow happened tonight though. 1) we were seated near the kitchen entrance and heard a couple of servers complaining about each other. They need to keep grievances away from the customers. The manager never came over so we couldn’t tell him to get it corrected. 2) the parking is very limited so valet is best option. Tonight they took our keys and were trying to get in wrong vehicle. We waited a long time to get truck while they tried to find correct one.
We have been coming to your restaurant for a few years. Always good - food and service. The only problem is that you will not reserve your outside dining - most restaurant that we frequent do. I usually get table numbers so that I am sure that I get the seating I prefer and if you request a table - the restaurant staff know that you are a good customer.
Celebrated 2 Birthday’s - Great Food and Great Service. Phil did an excellent job as our waiter. We love the Columbia Restaurant.
Surprise date night with my wife. Food & overall experience is always great here.
Party of 7 celebrating a Birthday. What a great time. Food and service were excellent. Our sever, Shannon D was great with our party. Good menu suggestions. Great Sangria and cocktails. This restaurant has something for everyone and it's all very good. We will return with so many more dishes to try.
We had a very nice dinner for my birthday with our kids, 11 & 14. Wish there were a few kid friendly options though
Beautiful room and delicious food - just wish I lived nearby see I could try everything!
Went here with the family while visiting. Food was great, atmosphere was nice. Would go back again.
Excellent food and service.
Excellent food, excellent staff, and great for larger parties
Dinner was very good and atmosphere is great. Over all an excellent restaurant and experience.
