Totally enjoyed our meal here tonight! I had grouper topped with crab and it was superb! My friend had bacon wrapped shrimp & loved it, too! Every time I dine here my meal delicious! I can't vwait to go again. Such a great location in the heart of Celebration.
Very disappointing. I sought out this restaurant based on previous experience at Tampa airport and in Clearwater Beach. This particular restaurant is nothing like it’s sister facilities. The recipes are not even the same and it was freezing in the restaurant so much so that you cannot be comfortable I had to hold my nose. Traveling from MN VERY FRUSTRATING to pay $150 and dissapoint relatives. ANNOYED! I generally when my flights with enough time so that I can eat at this establishment when I fly in and out of Tampa Airport.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughters 16th Birthday. Great food and the perfect place to celebrate!
Attractive setting, excellent service, average food.
Great service . The food was bursting with many different flavors. Simply, exceptional !
I thought my steak was great and enjoyed it. It would have been even better if it had been hot when it was served. My wife thought her snapper was okay but not great. The service could have been better with less time between visits from our waiter.
I am sorry to say that the meal was cold, and one was even overcooked. After we had received our order we never saw our waiter and when we were ready to go we had to flag down another to get our check.
We were very disappointed in the Columbia Restaurant. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. There were five of us, 2 adults, 3 well-behaved children. After being seated , our server immediately came over to take our drink order. There was no small talk, no introduction to the menu (even though we've eaten here before, he didn't know that), it was just what do you want to drink. I had ordered a mojito, my husband a beer, it took less that 2 minutes for our drinks to arrive. This leads me to believe that the drinks are pre-made in big batches, which shows. Our server was in a rush and wanted us to order right away. We had decided beforehand to have Tapas, so we placed that order. Our server then informed us that some things take a while to make, so we should go ahead a place our entree order. We did even though we would have liked to take longer in looking the menu over. This, by the way, happened in a span of about five minutes.
Within minutes of placing our tapas order, we were presented with our tapas. They were okay, not very warm and nothing to write home about. Upon finishing the last croquet, I looked up to find that our server was bringing out our food. There was no time in between tapas and entree. It literally only took about 20 minutes from being seated to having our entrees. This might be ok if I was on a lunch break and trying to eat quickly. However, when spending a couple of hundred dollars on a special birthday dinner, being rushed and served sub par food is not okay.
We took our time trying to enjoy our meal, we watched our server rush around taking table after table. He never offered to refill our water or to place me another order for a bar drink. It seems as if the server only cared about quantity, not quality. We left after paying a hefty tab, feeling disappointed. No one should ever have to spend that much money to be treated like that. I could go to Chic Fil A and have a much happier, friendlier experience for a tenth of the price.
We sat in the back nook. 5 of us. The table next to us was EXTREMELY LOUD. The one young woman that sat about 2.5 feet away from me screamed everything she said. This was not a child. Maybe early twenties. I couldn't enjoy my time with friends because I couldn't hear what they said!
We had a great meal and great service.
Poor service from the front desk (who ignored us and looked past is) to the waiter (who brought us cold coffee and brought a replacement 15 min later, when we we finished with dessert)
First visit, won't be our last. Food was great. Tapas were excellent. Wines were top-notch. Everything was fine until the waiter disappeared for almost 30 minutes after we finished our tapas. In those 30 minutes, the mosquitoes started swarming and our meal went from first-rate to frustrating. While we understand that the restaurant was packed and that it was a busy night, forgetting about those on the patio can make a meal go from good to sour pretty quickly.
Very enjoyable, great menu and well presented. Our server, Monica was very attentive, even if the restaurant was completely packed.
Our new found favorite restaurant while visiting Florida.
Great place, but VERY crowded!
Sad to say, the mahi sandwich I ordered was not the best...very fishy tasting which I’ve never encountered before.
I wondered how many per day were tossed!
Orders should come w/a complimentary cup
of soup or salad.
All the extras’ are too much!
We liked this restaurant so much we went two times in 3 days. Great menu and personable servers made this restaurant experience exceptional. Loved the food as well.
Service is always superior attentive but not obtrusive.
When staff use the phrase”it’s my pleasure” it feels sincere .
Great food and service. Lots of tableside dining.
Columbia came highly recommended but were we disappointed. Too noisy too busy too salty and too rich. Not worth the trip (and we fought traffic 45 minutes both ways to get here). Definitely NOT worth the trip. There are far better restaurants in Orlando.
Our visits to Orlando, always includes a meal at this place !!
If I could give it a 3.5 for food I would have. Although very good and enough to share, if found that my paella missed the mark for the crispy bits that you like on the bottom of the pan. The “Socarrat”. I will say the bread pudding was out of this world and I will be back.
This was our first time at this location after a number of visits to their restaurant in Tampa. Since this was in the middle of the week there was no wait and there was plenty of parking available. The services was great. Fast and friendly. As usual the food and sangria were terrific. Three of us each had a cup of soup and then split their famous salad and 2 entrees (one a paella) and one a combo of Cuban dishes). This was more than enough for 3 hungry guys. All in all worth the trip. Enjoy!
Excellent find during our holiday in the area. So good we made a reservation for two days later.
One of our favorite restaurants in the Orlando area.
The menu is true to the Cuban heritage of the owners.
Marvelous sangria made tableside as was the signature salad.
Find a way to get here on your next visit to Orlando.
Found Columbia while walking around celebration. Did some research on line and talked to some people at the Tiger game in Lakeland.
Lived up to the reviews and more. Jesus did a great job of explaining the dishes we ordered and made sure our dinner arrived at a good pace.
Meal was hot, flavorful and delicious.
We will make sure we eat here each time we are in central Florida.
This was our third time and again we were quite pleased with the overall experience our waiter Paul really new the menu and mad great suggestions.
We live in Chicago, so we had not been here in several years, but it was a very nice dinner. I had the grouper Johnny, which was excellent. My husband had the Cuban combo, which he liked, but probably wouldn't order again. 1905 salad and bread are also yummy! I did tell them on open table that it was my birthday, but it was not acknowledged.
Celebrating 10 years of marriage
All excellent as always
Everything was good with the food and service, however on our reservation I stated it was a birthday dinner and my boyfriend didn’t even receive a happy birthday.
Consistently good food. They were extremely busy while we were there so the service suffered some. I love the atmosphere and the huge amount of choices on the menu.
The food was absolutely amazing. We had monitors which were very delicious. Our server was fantastic. Dessert was delicious. The decor and ambiance was great. I would definitely recommend. It is a must!
Food was good as always, not our first time dining in the restaurant. Nice place
Service was good. Food was good not sure what the vegetables where? If it was asparagus I only got the stems and broccoli pieces!
Mine was very hot ! My sons and husbands where not that hot.
Have been going to the Columbia for many Here’s but this was the first time I have been to the one in celebration. It was every bit as good as I remembered and the service was excellent! The 1905 salad is a must have! Loved being able to sit outside. Highly recommend.
The grouper tasted like cod. We enjoyed the quality at the Clearwater location much better
The cooking has progressively gotten worse over the passed few year. It is like the overcooking is now the normal.
One of our favorites. Excellent spot. Never been disappointed.
My husband and I love to go the Columbia Restaurant in Celebration any time we are in the area. It has become our favorite place for authentic cuisine and wonderful atmosphere. We have never had a bad experience in the last three years of dining here. Looking forward to our next trip already.
Columbia was recommended to us by friends back home in NJ. We were anxious to try it. Make a reservation online for 7:45PM but arrived about 20 minutes early and we were seated immediately. Service was good. Food was good but not great. Servings were plentiful. Value was OK for a restaurant this popular. All in all it was good.
