Colours Restaurant is the largest tiered restaurant in Western Canada, with 142 tables and 650 individual seats. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a unique VIP racing experience that includes a personal TV at your table and a delicious buffet meal.

To enjoy this special race day experience each guest must pay the cover charge, which includes the race experience, a buffet meal, coffee & tea. No outside food is allowed and only Table Owners have access to our à la carte menu.

We were disappointed to find out, when we got there, there was only a buffet available. The waiter, Erick, was inattentive and didn't really seem to want to be there.

Mostly good, BUT we (my group of 9) was disappointed that when we ate at around 1:30 or 2 that BREAKFAST buffet was still being served, rather than a proper dinner type buffet, especially for the $27 charge price.

I've been a few times over the years to Colours, this last experience was not very good in terms of food quality, service was struggling, but it was fun to watch the horses. Next time I will go to the outdoor area and just have natchos and beer, besides it will be closer to the horses!!

We had fun. Our waiter was excellent. Food was good. Too bad Northlands made the decision to end horse races since going to Colours was a very enjoyable way to enjoy the races and a meal. It was full house last Wednesday night, an indication that people still value that type of entertainment. I am really mad at Tim Reid, the old CEO of NP for leading Northlands in that direction of closing down the track. Glad he's gone before he ruins anything else.

They were extremely short staffed. I felt rude but we had to chase staff down to get anything. They ran out of drink menus. I ordered a gin & soda and was served a Caesar instead haha. And buffet was the only food option. But I’d be lying if I said wasn’t bad. I assume the restaurant will be closing down this year which would account for lousy service.

We have not been to Colours or the races in a long time. We were really looking forward to the meal, races and time with our friends. The only enjoyable parts were our friends, the races and the Pumpkin cheesecake. Our Prime rib was dry and chewy, the other "hot" items were just warm, the Curry cauliflower, chick pea salad was good as were the other salads. A disappointment for sure in the food department. Now the service was just as bad, we had to get our own cutlery, drinks were brought that we did not order and drinks we ordered were not brought. When we asked for things, such as salt & pepper, sweetener or dishes to be removed it either did not happen or took forever. The price was for seniors $25.95 and we would not have had an issue if food was hot and good. Will not come back to Colours for another race, better to eat on concourse and watch from outside.

What a great night at the Horse Races we found the Buffett better then expected considering all the bad reviews we had read. Would go again and will recomnend to friends. The only complaint was the drink service was slow had to get our waiter when ever we needed something.

Since menue ordering gas been taken away, the food has good beer down hill. When you serve buffet nothing is hot and having to walk up and down those stairs is horrible. Our waiter the other night, was horrible!!! It took half and hour to get a pop and my husband had to go get our own jug water after asking for one twice. We had to get an additional place setting, for a table for 6. Worst service we have ever had!
