Mediocre at best. Although, the friend that we had gone with seemed to be a regular and didn't mind the mediocre everything.
I have eaten at Colore several times and have never left hungry or disappointed. Their food is incredible! If you are going to a show at Swallow Hill, or just in the area, give it a try--you will not be disappointed.
The food at Colore is great and I love that they have gluten free options. I just wish they would consider changing their gluten free pasta... I believe it's rice-based and GF pasta has come so far from rice. Excellent flavors... just look for a new GF pasta source please :) Capello's is Colorado-based and it tastes pretty close to regular fresh pasta. If you're not gluten-free, even better! The food is excellent!
Loved the place! the service and food was very good, so was the atmosphere! They could dust the light fixtures over the table, but it was clean. I will go back and would recommend Calore.
Great Italian food done with a fresh new approach. Thanks. Good wine selections.
Back again and still enjoy eating here. Good food and service. Noise level was a bit high but still able to have a conversation. The booth we sat in was a bit lumpy but okay. We'll come back.
Fantastic service and good food.
Wonderful food and great service. Our special request was honored. Colore is the best!
Excellent service. Tasty food.
Eent for restaurant week.
Had not been to Colore in a while because their prices had gone up.
Pleasantly surprised. Good quality very high and service excellent.
Would return for full price meal.
Delicious food. Great before a concert at Swallow Hill. A little noisy, music too loud when it's crowded.
What a find! We were searching for a casual Italian spot that would fit both traditional and gluten free - and we were thrilled! Terrific food with lots of gf options.
We have eaten at Colore a number of times and the food is always very good. It's a great place to eat right before a Swallow Hill concert.
Great Italian restaurant, across the street from Swallow Hill Music. Perfect for a meal before a show (they close before most shows end).
Food was fantastic, service was excellent. We even asked for a different table away from the 'cold air open door' and they sat us in the perfect spot.
We got the special table requested, the food however was less than desirable, very below par. My how your standards have fallen. Not worth the $110 price at all. Steak was disgusting, blue cheese melt on top tasted like fish. I've had Better blue cheese out of a can. Lobster bisque literally made my girl sick. No lobster lots of sauce. Embarrassing the portion vs. The cost. Our dessert however rocked that we took home. So many other places to spend over $100 on two. The wait staff is impeccable and the only saving grace of our night, We won't be back.
This place is just generally good overall. Food is good. Atmosphere is good. Service has always been good. Weather permitting, the patio is great. Having read my own review, I need to make sure we get there more often....I just wish we lived closer!
Friendly staff and a casual vibe make this place feel like a true neighborhood gem. We started with the crispy calamari and steamed mussels. Both excellent. The mussels cooked perfectly and the broth flavorful and yummy. We split a 10” pepperoni pizza. Crust was crisp, good portion of mozzarella & pepperoni. Bill our server was attentive and fast with our drinks & food. The host checked in us multiple times. Carrot cake was delish with a macchiato to top off a great dinner. Thanks! We’ll be back!
Hard to say which was better, the food or the service. Colore is really happy people making great food! The Calamari Mixto is to die for. My only suggestion is to make the serving a little smaller since there is so much good food left to eat. Pizzas are really about the very best in town. Great wood oven crust. Pastas are all good as well. We are FOODIES for sure so a 5 Star review isn’t a “free gift”, this was earned and deserved! Any occasion can be a Colore occasion
We had a great meal here. Our food was terrific & the service was really excellent. The staff made us feel that they appreciated our being there - very friendly & personable. It's likely to become one of our favorite go-to restaurants.
Our 2nd Visit - Our New Italian Go-To Restaurant
The best overall Italian dining experience in Denver. I've been to Italy more than 20 times, and this is as close to Italy in Denver as one will get. Very nice casual ambiance.
Outstanding Service by attentive knowledgeable servers who know the menu ingredients in detail.
Excellent authentic Italian food creatively prepared, using old family recipes, and served at the table oven hot.
Do not miss the soups. They are simply outstanding. Not your traditional "Italian Wedding Soup" but unique creations of the chef. Served very hot as soups should be.
Always busy - recommend reservations.
Third time we have eaten there in a month . It’s wonderful! Chas is a fantastic server.
The food is delicious and it’s got a lovely, casual vibe. Highly recommend .
No attitude and great food .
Very loud on a Friday night. But food was good and wine special was great.
Neighborhood gem. Menu has something for everything. We had watermelon gazpacho, caprese and see bass with gnocchi. Perfect balance of flavors. Attentive service. Can't wait to go back.
Good pasta dishes. A great neighborhood hot spot. A bit noisy
I wish we lived closer--this would be a weekly event for us! Whenever we have family or friends in town we go to Colore. Yes, we know the owners, but that isn't why we go. The food is consistently fantastic and the staff are wonderfully service oriented. I also wish we could go more often so I would try more dishes--I'm hooked on the fish of the day with veggies and gnocchi, so sometimes I forget to look at the menu!
We had a delightful dinner Tuesday evening. I had the delicious Lobster Ravioli and my date had Chicken Marsala. She thought it was very good, over all it was a very good meal.
I'm a regular at Colore. It is our go-to place for birthdays and anniversaries. The lunch menu is great, and it's a good late night appetizers and drinks stop. The service is always friendly and suited to our needs. I can't recommend Colore enough!
The bread pudding is probably the best dessert in the USA!
I had good experience last Saturday chocking this restaurant
Menu was good and price too.
I'll comeback ✌🏻
Absolutely delicious, saucy, cheesy, lasagna . LOVE it. The host (maybe owner?) was very accommodating. Service is friendly and efficient. We also like their weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas and deserts, but I'd say kip the steaks and stick with their pastas.
I absolutely love this place!
Wonderful dinner! We will definitely return for additional meals.
Great food and service! We love the attention to detail.
Always great food and a great experience!
I love visiting this place. The food is always good and it has a lot of energy.
The waitress was very nice. The manager however seemed annoyed that I was dining alone. Instead of saying hello the first words out of his mouth were do you have a reservation, and yes I did. The food was mediocre, the artichokes were hard and difficult to eat, the chicken piccata was bland. The tiramisu was okay. I wouldn't eat here again.
Colore knows how to put together a fantastic and tasty pasta dish. Had the prosciutto mushroom shallot with pesto - primo. Lots of menu choices. Definitely will return for another meal.
Truly a gem from the food to the service in a very unexpected location! We will definitely go again!
I started out with the mussels they were very nicely done. Not too spicy just right. However, there could have been more or larger and 6 or more were not open. The salmon was not bad could have used more flavor, but I tend to like a lot of lemon. My guest had the chicken parm and seemed to enjoy very much. I'm a bit of a wino and prefer larger stemware for red wine which wasn't an option I saw. Overall, I will go back and give it another try.
