About
Opentable did not secure the reservation as they said they did. However, this very fine restaurant was able to accommodate our party of 6 without delay. The food was excellent. Be sure & try the ‘fried green tomatoes ‘. They are outstanding!
Service was outstanding. Sienna was an excellent server and was on top of our needs. Food was terrific as usual
The New York Strip was good. However the Lil' Steak was very thin and full of gristle and fat. The Fries and baked potatoes were fine. They also had a buy one draft beer get one free special. Their cheesecake was fantastic. The salad was mostly lettuce it needs more cucumbers and tomatoes. They did not have French Dressing, which was odd. The waitress did not bring water when requested. The rolls were cold and stiff, not soft and warm.
Had not been in awhile. Service and food not as good as it used to be.
We ordered steak, salmon and chicken tenders. All fabulous! I'm the chicken tenders aficionado, and have sampled throughout Central Florida. Colorado's are THE BEST. Broccoli Cheddar soup is amazing too! Ample portions, friendly service, won't be disappointed.
We were there for my parents anniversary and we will be back we all loved it.
This is truly a diamond in the rough! The outside does not do the food and the atmosphere justice. Food was great! We will be back again, and we will bring more friends and family to enjoy it as much as we did!
The service and food were very high quality. Enjoyable experience with my son for Mother's day.
First of all, the dinner rolls we had that they bring to your table was hard like day old. We got one roll each and Waiter never brought any more out. Then I get my salad. I ate it halfway and there is a bug in my salad and looked like a love bug. I show the waiter and he says I'll bring it into the kitchen and see if it's a bug. Then comes back out and says yes sorry do you want another salad. As if I want one now not to mention our party of six all stopped eating their salad due to being grossed out. Then our prime rib came out completely fatty 45% fat and 55% meat and chewy (struggle to cut with knife . In other words low grade meat. Everyone's horseradish cup had spilt auju in it. Also a good waiter knows who gets what. Not ours he's playing the guessing game. I've been here several times and this will be my last time. It's going downhill and you can tell by how many empty tables there were for mothers day at peak time.now I'm writing this review on the crapper because 3 out of the 6 people with me are also on the crapper. Don't recommend going there
It was wonderful as usual!! There were 10 of us and we got great service. We've been going there for 25 yrs. Their fried mushrooms are the best anywhere! Enjoyed by all!!
A family favorite
A hidden gem
We had a family dinner. Food was good. Service was great. Overall, we enjoyed our evening out.
The steaks were excellent and service was fast and friendly!! Pleasantly surprised when I received the check!!
Drove here from here from Haines whilst on holiday - didn’t look very lively but the food and service was on point - we all enjoyed our meals had a variety of steaks and ribs and Could not fault anything at all. Pleasant service and excellent food - the price was also very reasonable considering 5 of us had the top steaks ! Highly recommended
Service a little less than usual but food was excellent.
Food wasn’t great. Never felt so uncomfortable walking into a restaurant in my life. 95% of the patrons were white and almost all turned around to look at us while waiting to be seated. We then endured having them sniker and stare while we got seated...then to make matters worse we waited nearly an hour for our food only to find it to be ok. Won’t be back.
excellent as usual. Go there every year when I come down for the Daytona 500 and stay in Lake Mary.
Service good. Food great as usual
We enjoy Colorado's. The food and staff we can rate as excellent. All the servers are excellent, but we are partial to Leeanne. So if you are looking for an enjoyable dinner and cocktails, Colorado's is the place to go.
Have dined here for years, food quality & quantity has remained consistent. Best steaks anywhere for the price & the fried shrimp are great as is the cocktail sauce.
We had a great meal, the Steak was done to perfection. My Wife enjoyed her meal and appetizer.
Good reasonably priced neighborhood steak house. Friendly and casual atmosphere
I think you should have a better variety of sides besides big potato and broccoli. After all it is supposed to A steakhouse.
Great Place
Great Value
A House Favorite
Both our prime ribs were tasty but tough. The appetizer and rest of the meal was good. We were going there especially for the rib so it was disappointing.
Been to Colorado's many times over several years and always felt it was a cut above the like-priced chains. I was disappointed with this visit. Salad was ok. Ranch dressing a bit too thin. Rattlesnake bread tasted like it was not fresh, but rather rewarded. NY strip which is deliberately firmer had a lot of fat. Rib Eyes (2 ordered) were tasty but also very fatty. Filet was good. Sides were average.
Fried Green Tomato appetizer was very good, we loved it. Salads were cold, good portion, and enjoyable. My baby back ribs were very good as well. However, my wife ordered medium rare prime rib and it was much closer to well done/overcooked, not even a hint of pink in it. The waiter sat her plate in front of her and even a slight glance should have told him that it wasnt medium rare. She loves prime rib but only took about 5 small bites from the very center. After the entrees were delivered, he never came back to follow up. She decided if they didnt know any better than to serve that piece as medium rare, she wasnt confident in their service to send it back and try again. She took it home and our dog got some well done prime rib. Had her entree been served as ordered, we would definitely go back, but first impressions are pretty hard to overcome and in this case the way overcooked entree ruined it for us.
This restaurant is a great place for a decent steak. The entree comes with soup or salad and choice of potatoes or vegetable. It is definitely an older crowd with most locals who understand good food and a great value. The service can be spotty. I highly recommend this restaurant for a good steak or some excellent Shrimp Scampi.
Enjoy!!!
I have been here before with no problems. We were they at 8pm. Not alot of people there. It took awhile for someone to take our drink order. Then awhile to get the actual drinks. Asked for bread, was told they were making it fresh. Not it was still cold. I don't even think they make they bread they just put better and cheese on it. Ordered the Smoked Prime Rib. Awesome!! However that was the only thing good about that night. My fries were cold too. My brother in law had a problem with his meal also .... This restaurant is old!!! It needs to be remodeled.
While the server paid close attention to our needs and was most professional, the food was surprising terrible. Actually, and come to think about it, I should have returned my prime rib as totally unacceptable. We were very disappointed because we had read how wonderful the restaurant was (highly recommended via local review for Sanford, Florida area).
Met a friend for a casual dinner. We both had fried white fish. It was fresh, fried just right and we enjoyed it. Restaurant had quite a few patrons but the noise level was moderate. This is a place for good food, not a fancy expensive place, just a neighborhood good place to eat.
Lisa was the perfect server. The steaks were cooked just right. Also enjoyed the creative cocktail menu.
We are looking forward to our next visit.
We had a party of 6 people and everyone seemed to have a good time. The food was very good and my husband and I had to take home some of our meal. All in all it was a great meal. It was my husbands birthday and he loved it.
Excellent food good service great setting easy to locate great place all around was real happy when I left
Food was great. Our server didn’t remove plates with unwanted items (trash) on the table our entire meal.
Great experience.. Wonderful food and service, even in the middle afternoon..
Decent food, reasonable prices. The bar has a great selection of whiskeys, got to try a bunch of different bourbons. I made the mistake of getting New York strip when I'm spoiled by prime filet at home. My bad. Next time I'll get the filet. The wife liked hers. Both were cooked properly
First time dining, sat right away with our reservation of 7. The waitress was attentive enough, the food was good, although I wish my silver chicken was a bit more seasoned. My daughter, who is 9, got the lil steak and loaded baked potato and liked it! Which is a miracle in itself becasue she's a picky eater. Her father got the smoked prime rib and enjoyed it. We happened to be there when it was happy hour and I didn't realize it so I received two beers instead of one, can't complain about that! I only wish that they didn't bring them at the same time because my second was room temp by time I got to it...or maybe I should learn to drink faster. Ha! It's nice that is it was casual dining, sometimes I just don't feel like getting all dressed up to have dinner. It's nothing fancy and almost reminded me of a ponderosa without the buffet. Overall, I'd go back again.
I was expecting something special and I was was really disappointed. The food was ok but nothing I could not go somewhere else to get.My daughter said her prime rib sandwich had no flavor. All in all from my point of view it was really disappointing
Pleasant neighborhood restaurant with good service
