Ordered an appetizer and two main dishes. The only complain was my glass of wine came from the bottom of the bottle. Food portions were good as it served for lunch the next day.

Either the staff was short some people or the wait staff was not up to their normal standard. Several items ordered did not come when they were supposed to or had to be asked for. Highly unusual for this restaurant.

All four meals were very good. The prime rib was a bit fatty but tasted rich and moist. The waitress was attentive and explained the specials clearly. The service was prompt and efficient. The noise level was a tad loud but the rooms are so small it would be difficult to overcome that.

We like that they now offer large/smaller portions on some of the menu items. This enables you to have both an appetizer and a main course without ordering too much food. Iggi's bread always fabulous!

Another wonderful dining experience. If you are looking for that "special" place to have an elegant dinner, the Colonel Blackinton Inn is the perfect spot! The menu is fabulous - something for everyone! I love the décor and the "inn" appeal. I am also looking forward to the outdoor patio dining with live entertainment beginning in June.

The atmosphere is great, very cozy, very intimate. It took a little longer than we would have liked fir the server to come over, he seemed a little flustered. Other than the time it took for him to come over each time, he was very good. Very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive for the most part. He was very very friendly. Crab cake appetizer wasn't very good. They were pasty and warm at best. French onion soup was ok, not great but not terrible. Swordfish special was delicious along with my wife's chicken and ham dish. Creme brule was very good for dessert.

Overall this is a nice place with pretty good food. I would go back but im not rushing back.

We enjoyed the ambiance and the service was excellent. Our food was generally very good-but the Prime Rib was a bit dry. A suggestion would be to give the prices of the specials as this is not published.

Dining at the Blackinton Inn is always such a treat. They offer indoor dining in one of three period dining rooms and outdoor dining in warmer weather on a beautiful patio. The wait staff is superb and the ambience is lovely. Selections on the menu suit everyone's palate.

Elegant, yet not at all stuffy.
Dress up or dress down and still feel at home.
It is so good I want everyone to share the experience, yet it is so good that I want to keep its location a guarded secret:) My family discovered the BI about ten years ago and are frequent diners. Perfect for lunch with the ladies and perfect for an evening out. There is also a carriage house for hosting special occasions. You won't be disappointed if you go. You will want to return again and again. My recent visit was to celebrate my friend's birthday and we all loved what we selected. The scrod is incredible as is the veal marsala. Everything is terrific!!!
It truly is a special place. Let me know if you see a ghost:)
