Wonderful cuisine, service and location. Easy stroll from historic Savannah hotels. Highly recommend!
I am extremely disappointed in my experience at Collins Quarter. My girlfriends and I were visiting Savannah for the weekend and read in multiple places that Collins Quarter was a "must". We were not able to grab a brunch reservation so opted for dinner instead. Immediately when we got there, the hostess stated that they overbooked and may not have a table for us. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit outside. It was 40 degrees; we said no. They did end up finding us an inside table, but from there it only got worse.
Our waiter had a snotty air about him. After being there for 45 minutes and still not receiving our cheeseboard, we politely asked him about it. He gave us such an attitude starting that they carving it and preparing it, etc., rather than just apologizing for the delay. How long does it take to put charcuterie and cheese on a board?! The cheese board was fine, but nothing great, and the entrees were a total disappointment. My shepherds pie was very good, but my friend's scallops smelled and tasted fishy and my other friend's burger was basically inedible. We were still hungry so asked for dessert and opted for the chocolate chip skillet cookie. The dessert was the best part of the meal, however, it was not chocolate chip, but rather peanut butter white chocolate chip. I love peanut butter so it was perfect for me, but what if one of us had a peanut allergy?! Aside from the fact that this is not what the waiter said. Meanwhile, the entire night the table next to us was treated to the royal service, e.g., multiple shots, drinks, desserts. Overall, it seemed like they catered to locals while were not welcoming to visitors. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.
I went here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing. I’ve come here before for brunch but never dinner and the food was SO GOOD. Our waiter Amir was so sweet and when he learned it was my birthday he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was wonderful.
This restaurant has really warm, attentive service and a very appealing atmosphere. It has a very limited menu though, and when we arrived at 7 pm two of the menu items weren’t even available. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board and a salad. The salad was fine. The cheese board was supposed to include three kinds of cheese, two kinds of meat, pickles, honeycomb etc. It came with only two kinds of cheese: Swiss and Parmesan, both uninteresting and of the grocery store variety, some cornichons from a jar (I know because I have the same jar) and some run-of-the-mill prosciutto and salami. No honeycomb, though there was a good smoky-tasting jam. For $20, it was kind of depressing; a better cheese board can be assembled from Costco! Anyway, a nice place, cheese board could definitely use some attention.
Hot chicken was incredible. Super moist with crisp skin !! Delicious!
Great tasting food but extremely small portions for the price. Left hungry
Very cozy place with friendly and helpful waitstaff. The food was a bit underwhelming though.
We started strong with a shared roasted squash and ricotta starter, but unfortunately they were out of the lamb shank that my mom and I had set our hearts on. We both chose the lamb Shepard’s pie as a substitute— it was fine, but nothing special. My dad really enjoyed his burger, but nothing was really memorable until dessert.
Don’t miss the lavender crème brûlée— it was the best part of the meal!
Just finished a great meal at Collins Quarter. Great spot for a great meal. The Shepherds pie is the best you can find. And the baked apple has the most delicious toffee on top. Go hungry and try everything
I noted that it was my friend’s birthday and our server went above and beyond to make sure she had a great birthday dessert to celebrate! It’s the best I’ve ever seen a restaurant do - and the desserts were amazing to boot. Definitely a must-go in Savannah!
The experience at Collins Quarters was poor at best. It began with the first interaction with the hostess, who proceeded to walk us by 3-4 perfectly nice tables to a back room where she sat us at a long table that was also occupied by another family. To get to the seats she gave to us...we were required to ask the already seated family who was in the middle of eating their meal to get up so that we could pass. When the hostess was asked if we could be there seated at another table the response was “those are reserved”. I indicated that I too made a reservation and she just shrugged her shoulders. The server was decent. We had to ask for silverware. One of our diners ordered hot tea which required a reminder as the server “forgot” to bring it out. Nothing over and above any other service at any other mediocre restaurant. That food was also just decent. They are know for their cocktails, however the dirty martini we ordered needed to be sent back as they “forgot” the dirty part of it. There are many, many choices to dine while in Savannah...my advise is to keep walking past this establishment. One Star at best. And to the manager...I would recommend speaking with your staff about how they interact with patrons. I’ve traveled all over the world and rarely do I ever leave a bad review...so you know it must be bad.
We love CQ! Have been for several date nights, and most recently for a business dinner. As always, fantastic food and awesome drinks, with friendly staff. I love that we could all hear each other talk!
Delicious food and drinks. We are returning customers. One of our favorite restaurants in Savannah.
The food was amazing, but unfortunately the service fell behind. It was really too bad because the food was outstanding. So note to the restaurant - find some people that are PUMPED about how good the food is! You deserve better.
Second time my wife and I visited Collins Quarter during a 4 day visit to Savannah.
First visit was for brunch. We were both very happy with our selections. My wife had the smashed avocado & I had the upstream salmon dish. Fresh ingredients, well presented and the servers and staff were super friendly & helpful.
Our second visit was for dinner. If scallops are on the menu they are a must have. They were perfectly prepared and paired with an excellent white wine. My wife had fish and I had mushroom tacos. Dessert was a bit of an odd medley of trix cereal - super sweet & definitely different.
Cocktails were excellent as well!
All in all we highly recommend giving the Collins Quarter a try if you are in the area.
Our server didn’t seem too knowledgeable about the beers or cocktails. Food was very good and was delivered in a timely fashion. Nice restaurant, we just wish server had been a bit more engaged.
Great Food & Service
Small menu but good selection but overall very tasty! Nice interior design.
Service was awful. Had reservations but no tables and what they call tables might be bar area shared tables. Won’t be going back
Great experience. Food was outstanding. Service exceptional
Our waiter Joey was great and so was the food
This was such a great experience! Our server was Amir:) I cannot say enough about the quality of our service and his knowledge of wine and food. He went over and above to make our meal a pleasure!! Nick was the barista and we were treated to a creative espresso that was so delicious!! This is a must!! whenever you are in the Savannah area!! 5 stars for sure!!
We like this restaurant, but it's very loud, and the tables are close together. Wonderful for outdoors if you can get a table, but this last time, the flies were so bad, no one could eat outside -- had to take the food home.
Highly recommend! Perfect for a date night. Good food and drinks.
The drinks are amazing, made by bartenders who know the art of mixology. Dont pass up the Hot Chicken!
A lovely spot for a weekend date night. Affordable prices and delicious food. Drinks are great too! We will be returning!
Tasty food! All 4 of us got something different but the hot chicken was definitely the winner
Had a nice dinner at this restaurant, great ambience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Savannah.
First visited for a cocktail and had an excellent experience so decided to try for dinner. The food was delicious and great neighborhood feeling-just a few blocks from our hotel the Perry Lane. Would definitely recommend.
Delightful dinner. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
Loved everything except the wine by the glass selection, need to add a cab or another full-bodied wine.
Really good decor, staff was friendly and a calm ambiance. Very chilled out, with nice outdoor seating on the sidewalk or in the restaurant. I can't believe they had real British style Shepherds Pie, and it was good, very good especially given it is deep in Georgia. That alone is worth the recommendation.
Fantastic wine list, offered many on request by the glass.
Delicious! Excellent service. Check for the evening was presented in a vintage novel, pirate themed no less, although the decor is very upscale and chic. May be that was simply a coincidence. Highly recommend to townies as well as visitors to Savannah.
Great food, very chic. Not much on menu, but everything looked wholesome and yummy.
Excellent choice! Good food and fantastic ambience. And a BIG star to Amir who was our server for the evening. He gave us great advice on what to see and visit during our stay in Savannah.
Fabulous, a must when in Savannah! This was our second trip to the restaurant and once again we were impressed. Everything was delicious, and no attention to detail was spared. The service was spectacular and the food and drink choices were artfully crafted and savory. Can't wait to go back!
We always love going here, I have never had a bad experience...consistently amazing!!
After a disappointing food day on our first day in Savanna, we were referred here. We are vegetarian so that can often be limiting but here we had several really excellent options and loved them all! Creative cuisine and excellent service made for 3 happy sisters and our mom!
We ate here twice, once for dinner and again for brunch. The dinner entrees were delicious, especially the mushroom tacos. Our only complaint at dinner, which we ate around 9:30, was how loud the music played. (maybe it's like that later in the evening?)
For brunch, the noise level was much lower and the ambiance was perfect. The food was again superb, especially a Turmeric Latte that was beautiful and delicious. Our friendly server, Sidney the monster, was fantastic.
