Collins Quarter Ratings and Reviews
We so enjoyed our happy hour /starter tasting. We planned dinner but the weather forced us indoors sooner than planned. Even though we were soaked like rats — we were welcomed and fed with the best of southern hospitality. The food tasting was absolutely delicious — and the service was precise and excellent. We were guided through the menu with both expertise and honesty — which ensured we tasted the best menu options. We loved our experience and highly recommend for others to enjoy.
Breakfast and dinner at Collins Quarter? Sounds like a perfect day. Every cocktail we ordered was perfect, the ceviche and cheeseboard delighted, no going wrong with the dinner, and the evening's specialty dessert was heaven. Our server was kind, knowledgeable, and even brought us two digestifs to sample at the end of our meal!
The atmosphere was fantastic. Aside from that, nothing else was. The dishes did not reflect exactly what was listed in the menu, our server was arrogant & curt and the food was overpriced for the quality & portion sizes. Based on our research & other reviews, we were highly disappointed as this was the venue we selected for our first dining experience in Savannah
We had a very bad experience. We were given a table right by the front door. We asked to be moved and it took 45 minutes to get a table. Then we saw the menu was nothing like what was on Opentable. The server said they changed it. If I had seen that menu we would not have gone there. We ordered the Piri Piri shrimp appetizer and that came with 4 puny shrimp. My duck confit needed a steak knife and my granddaughter’s fried chicken was not tasty. On top of all this I had indicated that it was a special occasion and there was no mention of that. Lastly, a 20% tip was added to the bill. When I asked if it was customary to add a tip to the bill for a party of 4, the server said it was a mistake. Will not go back.
Staff was very inexperienced and not properly trained. Food was dropped at our table with an explanation as to what it was. When the front of house manager brought the cerviche and he was about to pour a sauce on top of it I asked him what was in it and he did not know. Had to go back to the kitchen to find out.
The wine list was rather silly. It was not in line with the food on the menu or the price points. The Wine was way over priced for the restaurant. They also did not have the beers that they had on the menu. I had to ask the front of house if they served beer. She said they do but they don’t have it on the dinner menu because they are pushing the wine? REALLY. I also think that there are way too many tables for them to handle.
Had a lovely quiet dinner here with good friends. I ordered a white Russian and was told they had a unique take on it. indeed. Made with espresso. It was tasty but didnt help my sleep pattern that night. I had an excellent fish and chips dinner. The chips were steak fries and accompanied a large portion of the flaky battered fish. Abraham did a decent job of serving us. Was pleasant and accommodating.
Living in Beaufort, SC, we chose Collins Quarter for our Thanksgiving Dinner. Location is great, ambiance as expected, food very good, noise level relatively high. There seemed to be only one server working this evening of Thanksgiving Day and the service was not very good. We will try Collins Quarter again, will probably bring friends and recommend it to others.
Lovely restaurant located nicely on the street corner and has outdoor dining with outdoor heat lamps for chilly nights. Hip with class, but will appease evening the classic setting diners. This is a small restaurant, and I recommend reservations for evenings. The appetizers and main courses are intriguing and creative, different from the southern classics covered in every other restaurant in the area, yet delightfully takes inspiration from traditional cuisine of Georgia and the south. We enjoyed the goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, as well as the pan fried Hot Chicken and Miso Cod. Nice wine menu with many options by glass as well. We enjoyed and recommend to anyone. Please note, small restaurant with maybe 20 tables? I would leave the little kids at home as it is an adult setting.
The food was great. We had the ‘Its just a salad’ and the Hot chicken. My husband and I️ were blown away how such simple dishes could be so delicious. This was the first restaurant we went to during our trip to Savannah, hoping the others match up otherwise we’ll be back. Ambiance was 5/5 as well. Server and staff were great too!
Great place to eat for any occasion. Service was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Plating was superb as well. Took boyfriend who is a chef out for his birthday. It’s challenging as to get his seal of approval for a meal. This is one that he gave with no effort. We have plans to return for brunch
