Collector's Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We love Collectors Cafe ~ ‘definantly one of our favorites. We go every time we are in town which is monthly. Thomas and Mike are always so friendly. I’m proud to take new friends there because they act like they know me 😉.
My favorite is their famous crab cake and my husband’s favorite is the scallop cake.
Enjoyed our favorite scallop cake appetizer with arugula salad and the even more delicious Crab cake appetizer (my new favorite). Had a nice glass of wine to enjoy, which made a perfect light meal. Anna was delightful! This is one of our favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach and they take reservations. More locals than tourists, I believe.
Enjoyed the art work in each room....
food was worthy...especially the scallop cake....which I would drive 250 miles for...
the entrees are a little pricey, but not over the top...
had to track down the wait staff one time....found her texting on the phone.
Overall a very fine eatery and art shop!
I say go for it!
It was a special occasion (35th wedding anniversary) and Collector's Cafe made it feel special. They set us up with a table noting the occasion. We enjoyed walking through the restaurant with our drinks and admiring the beautiful art. We thought it was cool the way the restaurant was divided up into different bar/seating areas. The food was excellent and we will definitely visit again.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. We've eaten in wonderful restaurants all over the world and are careful about recommendations, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a date-night. Romantic, interesting atmosphere, excellent prime ribeye steak. The desserts are phenomenal!! Go and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy.
Over the years we have dined at Collector's Cafe on several occasions. While the food is consistently good and creative the pricing is a bit high. The atmosphere is a mix of fine dining and artistic. Paintings and sculptures are very interesting and entertaining.
This place was nothing short of incredible. The food was ridiculously good. Superb in fact. We found this place through TA. Came in from a kayaker by trip so weren’t dressed up which was a little embarrassing since it’s a fancy restaurant but it still worked out since you could tell we were tourists. My salmon was out of this world. And oh the Brussels sprouts!!! Appetizers were great also. You won’t be disappointed.
Food is really good, but a bit pricey! Everything is ala carte which increases the price! Parties on the other side of dining room were noisy and distracting! Looks like a good place for the locals to eat and be seen! Service was good but not always attentive! Server could have given more info than he did.
Have eaten here, as special occasion, on last five visits to MB. This was the first disappointment. First, there were less fish entree options than past (our view); second, did not see a healthy choice option; third, felt prices were inflated to prior experiences; fourth, service was average (no response to notice that celebrating two birthdays). The food was very good, (as have experienced in the past) including the appetizer and entrees-among four of us we had four different selections. All four of us (both couples) have eaten several times and all share these views-as we all are cooks, (gourmet of sort) and discuss what and where we eat.
Did not state would recommend, as have always done in past, because of disappointment of this occasion.
My husband asked me to write the review. For our 44th anniversary, unknown to me, he made reservations at Collector's Cafe. Red confetti hearts were scattered on our table. The food and service was great. I had the scallop cake...totally not what I expected it to be but it was delicious!! I highly recommend it! His filet mignon was wonderful, too. Great choice to celebrate our anniversary!
Collectors has always been the best fine dining restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Bar none. Others come and go but Collectors Cafe stays the course and provides outstanding food, a wonderful atmosphere, and excellent service. If you're in Myrtle Beach you should definitely go here.
My wife and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary, I wish we had gone somewhere else.
Although the meal started off well with carpaccio, the Constant parade of people standing in front of our table to gaze at the artwork behind us killed the romantic mood we were looking for.
In addition, when asked if a desert contain nuts because of a nut allergy, we were told by the waiter that neither he or the chef thought there were.
When the desert arrived, it was clear but there was toasted coconut on the dessert. My nut allergy is not severe, but this omission could put others in jeopardy.
However, when the waiter was informed of the toasted coconut garnish all I got was a surprised look, not even an apology.
Very disappointed, this was not the level of service I would expect from collectors. This will be our last dinner at collectors
My wife and I enjoyed our dining experience at your restaurant. The food was most excellent. The waiter who serve does explain to our questions about the food very well. The vegetarian selection was very small, but I had the roasted vegetables with my entree selection and the taste made up for it. We would be happy to eat there again.
This was our 25th Anniversary. I had Flowers sent as a surprise. When we arrived, the flowers were perfectly placed on our table which was sprinkled with hearts. People in the restaurant were all smiling and most stopped to give their regards while leaving. Great experience and as always, the food was just wonderful. Thanks, Lew
Beautiful restaurant in Myrtle beach with an outstanding menu and especially beautiful desserts. It's like dining in an art museum. Very pretty!!!! Food is very good. A bit pricy but somewhere to try for sure when in Myrtle Beach. Seafood is very fresh and tasty.
