The service was excellent delivered w a smile & good cheer!
The Burgers were fine but the cafe was super loud & the sliver of a cafe space has now hard plastic chairs in a concrete & steel environment vs booths & the much more inviting eatery it used 2 B...
Beautiful decor, friendly wait staff, kid-friendly environment. Only drip coffee is available (what happened to the French pressed coffee?)
So so corned beef hash, really lacked flavor. Hollandaise was bland. Beignets were good. Server was fine but nothing special.
Below average value. Silverware is funky, stylish but not practical- whole table commented about how awkward the forks were to eat with. Won’t go back
The ambience is not what I expected. Felt more like a casual beachside cafe or diner in its furnishings but the food was outstanding, especially the Wild Gulf Shrimp Gambas, which was a small plate of shrimp on focaccia with amazing sauces. Pricey for the size of the plate but delicious. I would return for that alone, but not on a regular basis.
We enjoyed seeing all of Chihuly’s collections as well enjoying a delicious lunch. Our salad and soup were delicious as were the specials we ordered. I would recommend this restaurant after enjoying the Chihuly Glass Museum.
Every dish has a special touch so whatever your tastebuds might be accustomed to, a new flavor awaits. The aioli on the crab cakes was a delicious surprise and the chicken and mushroom ragout with polenta was tops. Great fun to check inspect other tables (unoccupied) embedded with Dale Chihuly's personal collections. Recommend they advise diners that an order of beignets includes five pieces which is a lot for two people to share since it includes fresh fruit.
Drinks and food really good. Waiter was exceptional, funny and attentive when needed. Only negative was unfriendly hostess who barely spoke and couldn't be bothered to crack a smile.
This is a beautiful place to have a leisure lunch. The food was excellent (and pretty large portion!) and the service was great!
We've eaten at Collections a number of times the past few years. This is the first time the food did not measure up to past experiences.
Everything was first rate....food, service, ambiance and people watching! All amazing! The beignets were out of this world!
Collections Cafe is a quirky gem in the Seattle Center. Embedded with Dale Chihuly's collections obsessions, there is a lot to look at and spark conversation. The food is very good and the menu changes at a reasonable pace. It's great for a business lunch or a bite before attending one of the local cultural venues.
Our waiter was terrific. He was fast, efficient, and didn’t disturb us too much. Also it was really nice when he brought a birthday dessert to the table. Great surprise for our birthday girl!! Thank you. Only one tiny complaint, a bit noisy — lots of hard surfaces.
The hostesses were welcoming and got us in early. Our server was wonderful - very friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was good and enjoyed by all.
It would be nice to have some glasses of wine priced closer to $7-9 in the afternoon. Also very cold near the door when it opens but hard to do anything about that.
Overall all love the cafe. It's unique and fun and really appreciate being able to make a res.
Excellent location for Seattle. Shakespeare performances... Staff is exceptional. Food is tasty and imaginative. Environment is interesting and not too noisy. The wall of windows overlooking pedestrian walkway provides great people watching. Love this restaurant!
Not much of an option for vegans - which was a surprise in Seattle. They had a delicious vegan soup - but then delivered with sour cream in it.
I love going to the Collections Cafe, which is part of the Chihuly Glass Museum. The Cafe displays various collections from Dale Chihuly’s childhood, all presented in creative fashion. The food is always tasty, and if you haven’t been through the museum and gardens you’re missing one of the truly special highlights of Seattle.
Went to lunch here the day after Christmas; they were serving brunch. Had absolutely FABULOUS Crab Eggs Benedict! One of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Service was good; only negative was that the food took 20 minutes to be delivered.
Perfect for friends. Terrific food.
Engaging, expressive server. .. a young man So fine and also fun.
My husband and I made reservations to eat here because we planned to see the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit. The food was delicious and the service was good. The hot buttered rum was delicious! Be sure to check out the different collections located within the tables. Be careful if you sit at a table next to the window. People walk along the adjacent sidewalk and some demonstrate rude/gross behaviors. I was so disgusted I almost could not eat my lunch. Of course, this not the fault of the restaurant so perhaps you want to choose a table away from the windows if you have a weak stomach.
Enjoyed Brunch before seeing PNBs Nutcracker. We all enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. Great food and great waiter
We went for Saturday lunch. Restaurant wasn't crowded, but service was extremely slow.
I hadn't seen the recently remodeled Café until this visit and it's nice! A bit more open and breezy feeling. The wait staff was very attentive to us and well informed about the menu selections. Food arrived in a timely fashion and my client and I were able to chat with little distraction. Nice seafood louis for me and burger for my guest. The burger - well, the bun, kind of crumbled, so he ate it as a deconstructed burger, with knife and fork! This is a lovely venue on the Seattle Center campus. Thank you!
Brunch at Collections was a hit for the birthday girl! We all had the delicious vegetable scramble and shared a biegnets & friit platter. Service was outstanding - professional, friendly and attentive. No wonder this is a favorite spot for Girls' lunches and pre-theater meals.
Good food, constantly changing menu, the proximity to all the venues in Seattle Center cannot be beat. Expensive, but the location explains it, I think. Recently, I have been dining in the glassed in area. Previously, I was afraid it would be too cold and austere, but no! It is now my favorite part of the restaurant. It is warm, inviting, and I love all the plants and the views of people passing by.
It is great restaurant with children. a very uniqye place, love the decor and the collection still very good food for a place so kids friendly
Very friendly service and the food was very very tasty and inspired!
After our visit at the Chihuly Gardens we had a delicious meal at the Collections. Each of us ordered something different and all were tasty. My husband and I shared a huge burger and the quality of the meat was wonderful. We also shared a great chopped salad. It was a bit chilly, but they were doing their best to warm things up with a heat lamp, so next time I would sit inside.
Very fun decor, particularly for Chihuly fans. Super-nice service. The clam chowder was amazing, and the champagne cocktail very tasty. Plus, you're not hassled out the door even after you paid. And the music was awesome!
Before or after visiting the Chihuly Glass Museum, you have to see Chihuly's eclectic personal, whimsical collections which help create the ambiance and decor of this great restaurant - Myriads of accordions hang suspended from the ceiling, his radio collection on shelfs line one wall; each table showcases "the littles" from pocket knifes all in rows, to tiny ceramic dogs, to sterling silver Mexican sombreros the size of one's palm, tin toys, transistor radios - each table displaying it's own "fascination". Although my longtime friend and I only had time for a quick bite, we tried the beet soup with blueberry salt accompanied by goat cheese stuffed pastry . . . and it was Amazing!!! There was a wedding going on in the Glass House to be catered by the Collections Cafe kitchen and all I could think was not only were their eyes going to experience a feast of splendor but their palates as well! Highly recommend!!!
We always love coming to the Cafe for lunch by ourselves when we're downtown or with out of town relatives or friends when they visit. The new decor is a little sterile for our tastes and we prefer the original dining arrangement which was cozier and more welcoming, but understand the need to redesign to accommodate various number of groups more easily. Too bad they couldn't have accomplished both with the new design.
Food was great and had a good time. I don’t want to write anymore.
Love taking out-of-towners ti the Cafe. Coupled with the museum and the Space Needle it's a perfect day.
If we are back in town, we would go again. Definitely worth trying.
The ambiance was terrific and the little booklet about the collections was priceless. The food
was great and just enough. I had made reservations on-line for a birthday dessert for my
husband but the waitress never got the message. However, she went into warp speed and came
out with a boxed cookie. Awesome
The food was good but not outstanding or great. Portions seemed to be on the small size for some of dishes for the prices. For example, the crab cake starter featured two very small crab cakes for $16.00...and by very small I mean approximately each crab cake was 1 1/2 inches across. The service was excellent, very attentive, and helpful. The complimentary birthday ice cream and warm, large chocolate chip cookie with a birthday candle was a very nice touch for our birthday gal. We enjoyed our lunch but I'm not sure that I would go out of my way to dine here again.
A great little location that made Sunday Brunch a delight. We had a table next to the window and enjoyed some great food and people watching on a Sunday morning. The decor is a lot of fun to peruse and the food was fabulous! Our server, unfortunately I forget his name, was very nice and full of personality.
Food fabulous. Our waiter was Outstanding. Would highly recommend this eatery to family and friends.
Colletions is conveniently located on the Seattle Center grounds. I'd been wanting to try it for some time and when we planned to see a play at Cornish Playhouse, this seemed a good time to try it out.
Staff was attentive, hostess very cordial and helpful when I arrived early.
While my friend's burger looked quite good and was cooked perfectly, my chopped salad was very disappointing. For $16 dollars a large bowl of one type of lettuce, small chopped arrived. Four thin slices of avocado, finely diced preformed chicken, bacon bits and perhaps tomato. Hard to tell as everything was so small. The dressing was tasteless and unbalanced. Yikes. I was hoping for much better than this.
We went for Sunday brunch. The vegetable omelette was stellar. Our waiter was very accommodating when I asked if I could sub out the potatoes for something healthier. The potatoes did look delicious but I was happier with the small salad he brought. My sister's chop salad was very big and she said it was good. The beignets were a nice way to finish the meal and were presented with a generous selection of sliced fruits and for dipping, caramel sauces and white chocolate sauce....and a piece of honey in the comb.
The service was excellent. Food choices are moderate but the flavors are excellent.
