We always enjoy Collections. Loved my Mac and cheese Server could have been a bit more attentive. Refills on drinks are appreciated. I find that to be problem at many restaurants
Collections is the only restaurant on the Seattle Center Campus that offers table service. Great menu. Great staff. Always feel welcome
The menu is small, but with plenty of variety, including good gluten-free options. The chopped salsas and Parmesan rosemary fries are tip top!
Very nice. Good food. Only thing, wanted to celebrate a new bride and mentioned that in reservation request but they did nothing.
1) Krystal our server was wonderful, kind apple slaw; burger 3) decor & ambience is artfully delightful. Collections of cameras, dolls, dog figures line the walls & tables & from the ceiling hang a collection of antique accordions. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
The idea of this place is fun, and the various collections in each table are interesting to explore. However, that also makes this a tourist haunt for those “just looking” after their Space Needle visit. We were seated near the door, so there was a steady stream of passers-by strolling through the restaurant. In fact, the hostess would guide them through it to get to Starbucks on the other side instead of having them go out the front door. So, a quiet lunch was hard to come by. Our server seemed like he’d rather be anywhere but there and my Italian soda was 80% ice. Food was okay, but not great. And, they were out of French fries, which seemed odd.
Great location when visiting Space Needle or Chihuly Garden Museum. It was our 3rd and last day in Seattle and the welcoming atmosphere with its unique interior design made it something memorable in our short visit to Seattle. We had a signature burger and clam chowder but they both taste great! We were with a toddler and they also have a kid menu.
There is so much ambience here, with all of the Chihuly memorabilia encased in the shadow boxes on the table tops. Antique toys, figurines, bottle openers from around the world, and dozens of accordions hanging from the ceiling, all provide a museum-like experience.
The food here is great. We each had a terrific turkey panini sandwiches with delicious fries and a salad.
We would recommend this place to anyone who goes to the Seattle Center. It is a quiet eating option compared to the food court atmosphere at the other options closely.
The Louie salad is excellent as is the macaroni and cheese! My teen son raved about the Caesar salad, rate compliment from him on any salad.
Overall 4 1/2 Stars, cheers.
Very enjoyable experience before going to the Chihuly exhibit with out of town friends/family. I made a reservation and the table was ready when we arrived. Service was great, very friendly & knowledgeable about the menu/ingredients in specific dishes. Not nearly as noisy as many Seattle restaurants these days, so we were pleased about that. Price reasonable given the venue. Have been there several times and will always go back when at Seattle Center.
As a vegetarian I would appreciate more vegetarian and vegan menu options. I ordered the vegetable scramble for Sunday brunch and there were hardly any vegetables in the scramble; I was expecting more vegetables than egg.
Really wish you had a couple vegan breakfast/brunch items. Seattle in general hasn't caught up with vegan menu offerings. It's so easy. Just do it! Offer Beyond Meat or Field Roast sausage, tofu scramble, or just a vegetable scramble. No dairy (eggs or cheese) I think you'd be surprised at the numbers who enjoy it. And they are so easy to make great plated presentations.
Stopped in here before headed to the glass gallery. Everything tasted great!
Great food and atmosphere for the price! Very fresh seasonal food...with unique décor. We will definitely be back.
Stopped in before going to see the Chihuly exhibit. The Collections Cafe refers to a unique number of exhibits on the walls, ceiling and tables under enclosed glass. Warmly greeted by our server and was asked if we had any questions. I ordered a cup of chowder and a blackened salmon sandwich and she offered up that I could forgo the fries that came with it and substitute the chowder for just $1 more, thought that was very kind. My sister ordered the same but wanted the fries with hers. The chowder was excellent, served nice and hot, full of clams, diced potatoes, bacon, and herb crostini that soaked it up perfectly. It was seasoned just right, not bland at all. The salmon was cooked just right and very tasty, however the roll that it’s served on does not support the salmon, lettuce, and the toppings. Strongly recommend they switch the bread to French bread like the Market Grille serves at Pike Place Market. My sister’s fries were good as well seasoned with parmesan cheese and garlic. My sister and I wanted to share a dessert and the menu they have is very limited. We decided on the beignets with two different sauces, however, when we saw a rectangular board go by that they were on we had to cancel the order. It was huge, the biegnet’s were a good size and there were several of them and it was served with lots of fresh fruit and the sauces. We thought it was a small dessert to share, it’s definitely not, and we we were too full from our lunch. My sister had coffee and it was very strong. The server was friendly and attentive throughout our lunch, refilling our water glasses as needed without us having to ask. The manager also came buy and asked how things were once we had our meal which is a nice touch. We would definitely go back, there were other interesting items on the menu, but be ready to pay, it’s not inexpensive, but worth the price.
Enjoyed our lunch, attentive staff. Would go back again and again.
Overpriced for simple food
My third trip to Collections and I would continue to go back. Great food and always good service. Always interesting conservation about the"collection."
A surprisingly good restaurant attached to the Chihuly Glass Garden.
Not only was our food great, but so was the service!
It was a very nice place to visit after seeing the Space Needle and Chuchily Gardens. We loved it.
Lovely setting and very good and reasonably priced food. Definitely worth a stop when you’re visiting the Center. Highly recommend.
A very delightful lunch with friends. Chief was a great server. The panini and the crabcakes were outstanding.
Loved the garlic tater tots. My friend commented the impossible burger was the best veggie burger she ever tasted. They made my birthday special.
Our server was remarkable. The food was very good and the location is of course amazing. A great part of a great day.
I got the salmon sandwich with a salad and my husband got the signature burger with fries.. everything was very good. My only complaint is the fries were too salty. Other than that great!
Fun decor (each table has one of Chihuly's "collections") and perfect after a visit to the museum. Exceptionally delicious food for a museum restaurant.
I have been to the Collections Cafe several times when people come to visit. It’s a great way to introduce them to Seattle. It’s fun to see all the Chihuly collections while having a special meal. The staff is very attentive and went above and beyond for my birthday celebration. You must go there!!
Excellent location near Seattle Center, Space Needle, & Chihuly Art & Glass Museum(Amazing once in a lifetime experience); our go-to restaurant w/ visiting guests; delicious food(large portions) & interesting menu.. & table "collections)
I was very impressed with the food, the soup and salad were fresh and delicious and the fries.. Fabulous. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, very pleased
Nice restaurant with good atmosphere.
Good burger, great service in a fabulous outdoor space.
We enjoyed everything! The decor is unique and imaginative, a ready made conversation starter. Our server and our food were outstanding. It would be a pleasure to return.
We went to the Chihuly museum and gardens for our anniversary and enjoyed dinner at Collections beforehand. Service was great, food was delicious, and the collections are really interesting to look at!
We enjoyed our meals but there is a somewhat limited menu which might not be what everyone would like.
We had a 5:30 reservation in order to make a 7:00 concert at the Key Arena. We arrived early and the Cafe was able to seat us at a little table by the window. A great people watching table! The restaurant has a fun vibe. I always enjoy looking at Chihuly’s varied collections.
The special was a delicious Rockfish on top of an edamame risotto. It came with mushrooms, greens, cherry tomatoes and a delicious creamy tangerine sauce. It was even more delicious than it sounds!
The decor is the big attraction; it's really fun. The food is ok, some things a little better than ok (the hamburger, but it comes well done however you order it), some a little less (the flavorless blackened salmon). Prices are on the high side, but typical of Seattle Center.
We have been to collections Multiple times. We brought some friends that had not been there before. I made reservations on line. We were going to a concert at the Key. I was very disappointed at being set in the new annex. It was loud and felt very much like a cafeteria. I was not happy. That being said, the place cleared out(loud and small children), Our Waitress very nice. The service and food were great! My Husband had the special and after tasting it we all wished we would have ordered it! The white fish was wonderful. I was still bummed that my friends didn't get to experience the qurkie, and artful collections of the the main dinning room, Maybe another time.
Food was not so great. And a little pricey for what it was. Service was okay. Feels slightly like a cafeteria, and I don't think that's what they were going for.
One of the more quiet choices around this area. Healthy choices, and lots of thought put into providing experience for children. Could be more attentive service though.
