I love this place. I can't believe it is now closed. One of the true gems in NYC. Great food and service, plus a spacious dining room. One of the few places you could go and not be sitting on top of other people. And need I mention those high ceilings and walls of windows.

We ordered the burrata with peaches sooooooo good and fresh! Next was the pretzel it was meh cheese was cold pretzel was bland. I ordered the duck pasta very good. My hubby ordered the short rib and polenta it was a show stopper sooooo good! Desserts were great drinks were great
We were made to feel very special for our anniversary dinner. Food was simple and delicious, not pretentious. The pasta entre and zeppole dessert were especially terrific. The overall experience was outstanding and did not break the bank. Highly recommended.
To the point:
The service was fine but very nosey where they checked in far too often and then weren't there when they were needed...and it was not overly busy at 630pm.
The halibut was far over cooked to the point it was the butter and oils didn't Shoah through anymore and it tasted dry and greasy...a shame for such a nice price of fish
The beef with fingerling potatoes was 70 percent incredible in the the meat was perfect as was the topping and yet the potatoes were unseared and much like the fish, was gummy and greasy.
The wine selection was amazing and you pretty much couldn't go wrong.
I'd say skip this spot due to poor execution
Good restaurant for the family or large groups. Food and service were fine - the pork belly with corn was definitely the winner of the table. Dessert seemed very overpriced (10-15) so we opted out. Took a long time for entrees to arrive after apps, but overall service was very attentive.
We came to Colicchio & Sons-Tap Room to celebrate my sister-in-law's 60th birthday and were not the least bit disappointed. Sara, our waitress, was absolutely the right amount of attentive and respectful, there when we needed something, but not intruding upon our conversations and celebration. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic, from the decor, to the service, to the food. It was a great evening and I would not hesitate in the least to return or to recommend this restaurant to others.
The staff could not have been nicer, when they called to confirm the reservation they asked if it was a special occasion and I responded yes our wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were unfortunately in a hurry to see a show, so we asked that the service be aware of that. At the table there was a card wishing us a happy anniversary and the menu had our names at the top and again happy anniversary, the waitress was lovely and said she would ask the kitchen to be fast, luckily we were eating early and there were not very many other diners yet. The food came out super fast and was delicious. We declined dessert, again due to the time crunch but as we paid the check she brought a plate with a small dessert and happy anniversary written in chocolate! This was the perfect end to a lovely experience. My only complaint, would be the chips served with the signature burger were a little over cooked and not appetizing, I think they should rethink that side. But as the burger was huge and delicious not eating the chips was fine!
We were meeting relatives and a friend who needed to be at the train station by 730. We booked a 530 reservation (which is when they start serving dinner), we were at the bar and they graciously seated us at 515 without any input from our group. Our server was terrific, our dinner was awesome. We shared the burrata and peach appetizer as well as the sugar snap pea appetizer. Two of us had the brisket with polenta, which was great. My husband had the pork belly, again delicious. Will definitely be back!
Had the burger liked everything about it: the temp, consistency, sides etc but the meat flavor was a little too bland.
I was starving so a burger should have been tasty to me no matter what but it did not have that much flavor.
Will I come again and try other items on the menu? Yes of course.
Will I have TC burger again? Prob not.
The place is beautiful, and beautifully located, right below the High Line, right next to a small park. Our server was wonderful. We had mostly brunch food - I had the prawn, pork belly and polenta, my son the equivalent of french toast, my other son a pizza, I forget what my daughter had, and my wife the pistachio pesto cavatelli. All good, but not exquisite. And the pork belly was very salty.
If you like salt...and if you like beer (too many choices, and I was driving)...then this is a good place.
