Colicchio & Sons is a contemporary American restaurant located in New York's iconic Meatpacking District. The restaurant's interior has a refined and upscale quality to it. There are high ceilings which serve to open up the space, and floor-to-ceiling windows let in a large amount of natural light. To preserve the high-quality atmosphere, Colicchio & Sons has provided each seat with white linens and an empty wine glass.
Colicchio & Sons menu is divided into First Courses, Second Courses, and Main Courses. The first two act as appetizers, either for individuals or for the whole table. Some of the items on this menu include hamachi with caviar, beets and creme freche as well as braised artichokes with prosciutto and Niçoise olives. Main courses include items such as pancetta-wrapped monkfish, roasted duck with spigarello, black truffle roasted chicken and 30-day dry-aged sirloin cooked to order.
The food was carefully prepared, subtle, fresh and really delicious. Our server, Linden was a delight. Understand the restaurant is moving, further downtown, we will follow.
The food was excellent but the service was terrible. The waiter was rude.
We had a lovely evening at Colicchio and Sons last week. It was C&S's final week so it was a chance to have a last meal at one of our favorite places. The food was excellent and the service informed personable and attentive. The stone fruit salad and crudo were outstanding and the main dishes not far behind. Although we'll be sad to lose Collicchio and Sons, the team is opening up a new place downtown, which we look forward to trying soon.
Every single time we've visiting we were more and more satisfied. It's hard to keep us interested considering I'm a professional Chef myself but Chef Tom always delivers.
wonderful but closing!!!!wonderful but closing!!!!
Excellent food, great service in a upscale casual atmosphere. We were celebrating a birthday, and were very impressed to see a personalized birthday message printed on our menus. Great touch. Overall excellent experience.
The food, wine and service were outstanding. The menu was limited to a few, select items based on what was local and in season. Everything we ordered was exquisitely prepared and delicious. The restaurant was barely half full, which I don't understand.
Favorite restaurant in the city. Perfect, effortless service, wonderful food, and zero pretense.
Everything was wonderful. So sad that it's closing.
great dinner last week. So sorry they are closing. Sophisticated dining in a great venue.
Outstanding flavors and the service is just right. Going back one more time this weekend!
Food wasn't that good for the price point- servers were very friendly
I hear it is closing this location after Labor Day. So sad. They have a dynamite location and food to match not to mention the incredible private room great for business meetings. Staff are best or at least top of the top in NY. Food is awesome!! I will miss them!
Comida deliciosa y Decoracion A1. recomiendo la caminata en el high line saliendo de comer;)
Firstlyl will you please excuse my English. (i'm french)
We find the decoration of the restaurant very pleasant airy.
The very pleasant and personalized welcome(reception).
The waiter we in very friendly informed about the menu and its specificities.
The service is very precise without being heavy.
The dishes which were been of use to us were exceptional.
I am a restaurant owner and a "chef" and for the account I think that this restaurant deserves to be considered as one "gastro".
Thank you for this moment
It's sad the restaurant is closing on September 4th, but while the food was still outstanding, it's also sad that light bulbs have not been replaced, the service was inattentive, and a sense of futility has settled over the place. Not the way we hoped our last meal there would be.
I had the octopus, pasta and clams, and American "wagyu" beef, along with a Venetian cocktail. My friend had the stone fruit and bacon, the prosciutto and pasta, and the pork belly, with just a soda for a drink. We split an order of 3 scoops of cucumber, thai coffee, and watermelon sorbet, and I had a cappuccino. We both left very satisfied. My friend said he enjoyed the pork belly the most. Of my choices, my particular favorite was the octopus, which was perfectly cooked. We both liked the cucumber sorbet quite a bit.
Outstanding service and food. They even took the time to personalize our menus as they knew it was our anniversary...it's the little things👍🏼👏🏻. Best scallops I've ever tasted! Another winner by Tom Colicchio...can't wait for the next one!
Phenomenal meal and service!
Love that this space is open and quiet. Not a crazy busy or super tight seating arrangement, which allows for some privacy. Food was fantastic, as was the service!
I am a huge Tom Colicchio fan and have eaten here several times. This was an "off" night from start to finish. Service was terrible--3 or 4 different waiters who served the wrong plates to each of us, never asked if we wanted more wine, we had to ask multiple times for more water. They stood at the service stand right next to our table talking the whole time. Food was universally bland. Beef Tartare appetizer was tough, chewy and tasteless. A few grains of salt even would have helped. Brioche was rock hard. Spaghetti with tomato and clams was mushy with no flavor at all--less than half of the plate was eaten but the waiter never came to check on us or ask why it was barely touched. Asked for the pork belly with something other than turnips. It came with a side of turnips. Dessert was inedible. Tom Colicchio is known on Top Chef for penalizing chefs who's panna cotta is not "jiggly". The butterscotch panna cotta was like pasting cement and had no flavor. The one nice touch was that it was my birthday and they printed that at the top of the menu.
Prefect spot near work for meetings with business partners, etc.
Remembered this place being better. Service was not so good
This is a nice place. We had to go early because of a show so it was a little dead but you could tell it was going to pick up. The food was great and service was very attentive.
Great food, superior service, wonderful atmosphere and great bar scene
Over all the restaurant is very nice and some of the dishes are great. however some of the Pasta dishes were too special and ended up tasting a bit wired.
This is the 4th time I have visited Collichio and Sons and I am pleased to say that it never disappoints. The service, food and ambiance are all outstanding.
I have used Collichio for a romantic dinner with my wife, a night out in New York with my son and on this occasion for a business dinner. It is one of the few restaurants that lends itself to all of these occasions.
I recommend Collichio & Sons as a lovely place to celebrate whenever the opportunity presents
We went for dinner for my friend's sophisticated bachelorette do - and on arrival we were presented with the menu saying 'Congratulations Natalie' at the top, and a hand written card, a very nice touch! Food was delicious - have the octopus, best I've ever eaten!
Great food and service, enjoyed our meal very much
service went down and food quality as well. not the place I came to last year and the year before. Only the wine was great and sommelier, at least this did not change.
Great food, cocktails and attentive service. Enjoyable cocktail menu, classics with a twist, that tasted wonderful. Very tender Amish chicken. Our waiter was attentive and polite, excellent service. We ate at 7 pm and it wasn't busy which was nice.
The waiters tried but the Manager was impolite & was extremely unhelpful in our vegetarian option. Our last visit to the place
Service is wonderful, everything we ate was great, wine list a little dear.
most impressed by the happy birthday written on the menu and the card congratulating my guest for her book being on the times best seller list
Better service than I've ever had at almost any other restaurant. Excellent and interesting food and wonderful staff.
One of my favourites in nyc
Excellent meal and splendid service for our 20th anniversary.
Excellent food and service. Very highly recommended.
This was our third time at Colicchio & Sons, and our second time in the main dining room. All of the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The food was prepared exquisitely, and the suggested wine pairings were both surprising and delicious. This is what keeps us coming back. An easy recommend.
The service and food was excellent. Made the reservation on a whim and did not regret it. Spent about $300 for dinner for two which included the night's special, the rib-eye steak for two. Will definitely visit again.
The service and staff were welcoming and very attentive. The food was good, but I think it wasn't outstanding given the cost. At £120/head I want to be truly blown away!
As non-meat eaters, the menu selection was limited to approximately one available item per course. I think with a little more creativity, this aspect could be improved if they wish to attract more European (non-meat eating) guests.
I think an element of the cost comes from the location. The Meat Packing District really is a great area that has become ever more popular each time I visit with plenty of late bars and restaurants opening up.
