Cole's Chop House Ratings and Reviews
Service was very slow, waiters had favorites/locals they catered to while we waited to get acknowledged. I Had to ask for water twice.
They sent out burnt bread and you can see where they broke the really bad burnt pieces off.
I wanted to upload the photo of the bread but it’s not allowing me to.
The lobster was very good and fresh and that I do recommend.
Great food but not very good service.
This was our first visit to Cole's for dinner. We have had a drink at the bar and were impressed with the restaurant so it was a must go for our next visit to Napa.
The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent as well!
I highly recommend Cole's for a fabulous dinner experience.
Valentine’s Day dinner was unbelievable. Best meat ever even coming from Miami where steakhouses are not in short supply. The service was very personal and the prices very reasonable for the level and quality of food they serve. Definitely a return is in the future.
This meal was not up to past standards. We ordered the same meal and they showed up cooked to very different temperatures.
We also asked far in advance to be seated in the main dining room and ended up upstairs.
However, management did make up for both of those situations and we ended up with a great server who took great care of us and we had a good experience.
one of our go to restaurants in Napa. ate there before a blue note show on Saturday. Nothing negative to say about the restaurant. Been going there for years and it is always on the agenda for our Napa Wine weekends. They take great care of us. Easy to get to. The venue is very appealing. Really recommend this place
How many places do you get a chance to taste 1-4oz pours of wines like DRC La Tache, Screaming Eagle, Harlan, Shafer Hillside Select etc? Well Cole's actually offers small pours of these and many more great wines. While these are expensive (1 oz starts around $85), it's a lot cheaper than buying a bottle costing thousands. They use a tool called a Coravin to safely extract and preserve the wine with argon. We had the DRC La Tache and it literally blew my mind. It was the best pinot I have ever had with one of the longest finishes ever. Now I understand the hype. Pure joy and worth every penny. The steaks were of course delicious and service impeccable but the wine offerings are the real star and make this place unique.
We went to Cole's for my birthday and the service was awesome. Food was delicious. We ordered the Cole's Famous NY and the rib eye which were cooked perfectly to the medium rare we requested. The sides of the wild mushroom in veal reduction and Yukon mashed potatoes could almost be the stars of the evening. The mashed potatoes were velvety and buttery; the mushrooms were insanely delicious with perfect notes of truffle oil. The attentiveness by the team was superb. Eric, the owner, had come by our table several times throughout the evening to make sure we were enjoying our time. Greg, the wine director's knowledge was truly amazing. We provided him characteristics we enjoyed in our wine and he picked out a delicious Pilcrow for us. Would highly recommend Cole's for a special evening.
Coles is a really good steak house. Each course is well conceived and easily produced - there’s little creativity or departure from standard fare. Diner was uneven - the pork chop was over cooked, salad under dressed while the filet and dessert were excellent. Of all I wanted was red meat then this would work - but the price value relationship of the overall meal is hard to reconcile
This was one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. The service, with the lovely Sarah, was impeccable - professional but very friendly, attentive without being hovering, all dishes well spaced. The food - from bread to salad to steaks to sauteed mushrooms to cappuccino - was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed all of it and will definitely return.
Cole's continues to set the standard in the Napa Valley for the its sophisticated restaurant. Superb food, cocktails, and service are welcome bonuses to the atmosphere. There are 3-4 restaurants one should not miss on a trip to the Valley, and this is one of them.
