At Coho Caf in Redmond, Washington, you can count on a warm welcome and friendly service. The main focus of the restaurant is Pacific-Northwest seafood, but you will find other delicious items as well. The starters menu is extensive with unique items like polenta fries and some of the more traditional offerings like coconut crusted prawns and seafood bisque.
For mains, the bronzed salmon burger is a very enjoyable sandwich, or you could order the beer battered cod or seared ahi tacos. Coho Caf also gives a nod to the orient with the five-spice grilled chicken and the pad thai. Kids can order off their own menu at Coho Caf.
We have been going there for a while and I simply have no complaints. The food and service is impeccable.
Good food, good service, a great value. A safe choice if you can't get into that "special place".
Great seafood selection for a family that was specifically looking for a restaurant with plenty of seafoood options.
Looking for a reasonable dinner, we tried the Coho Cafe and were truly pleased with everything.
This café was awesome, we liked the service, overall food was good, I would visit this place again and good for groups too, I would recommend for group of 10 or less. Not many vegetarian/vegan options but for people eating non-veg this is good, my colleagues liked the non-veg options available.
Too Loud - difficult to hear one another at our round table for 6.
Our waitress, Erma, was terrific! Very personable, attentive, and the food was great.
I had the Tostada Cerviche Salad which was teeming with succulent seafood. It was delicious. One of my friends had the Caesar Salad which was so large that she took it home to eat for lunch the next day. My other friend had the seared ahi. She said that the ahi was fresh and delicious. We love the Coho Cafe and have yet to have less than a great meal there.
Always a good value. You can always rely on knowing what you will get and how long it will take. The food quality matches the price - so a good predictable value.
Fantastic family restaurant. Something for everyone in the family!
The service was very slow. Also, the salad that I ordered was very small for the amount that I paid. Basically, there was a couple tablespoons of seafood filling.
We ate outside on the patio where it was perfect, otherwise the noise level night have been too loud for conversation.
The new chef had an AMAZING specials page! They were outstanding and need to be included in the mail menu immediately! Great place.
The evening we were there, the service was frustratingly poor. The burgers were also below average which made them poor value. Normally Coho is pretty good. Nice food and ambiance. Just not the night we went. So consistency is not there.
The food is quite good, especially the daily specials. The salmon entrée is usually one of my top choices. It's nice that it has an outdoor area and in cooler weather they light the outdoor fireplace. However, when it's too warm for the fireplace there isn't a lot out ambience out there. It's basically an area overlooking a fairly busy intersection or a parking lot. However, the service is usually pretty good and it's nice to be outdoors. Mondays are good days to go with a group because they have half priced bottled wine on Mondays.
This is the 2nd time we've been to Coho's in the last 6 months for birthday dinners; we were a larger group. The food was fine, but again the restaurant was very very noise and hard to hear across the table. I personally think it's more appropriate for smaller groups at smaller tables in terms of noise level, and lunch is more quiet than dinner time.
Good food overall. However they seated us 30m after our reservation because they were so crowded on a holiday. Once seated the service and speed was fine.
The service was outstanding and the food as always was amazing.
Food is always fresh, hot and fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant. Staff is great too
Our wait staff was very friendly and helpful
My youngest son and I had dinner with my best who came over from Whidbey. The service was excellent as well as the food. We both have years of experience in the business and are foodies. Both of us were very impressed. I highly recommend dinning at Coho Cafe.
Coho café is my favorite restaurant in Redmond. Great food, nice atmosphere. Love to come here with my family and friends.
No free bread, which is fine. I don't mind paying IF we were told ahead of time when we asked for bread; but we found out when the bill came. The foccacia was stale (cold, dry and hard), the spread was awful (way too sweet!). If I had known it would cost me $3.50, I'd have sent it back for better bread. It's not about the price we have to pay, it's about the quality of the food we get.
The prime rib, on the other hand was excellent!
Downgraded overall from 4 to3 because dinner was elderly family. The elder requested nutrition that she needs to track which was not available. I don't go to this restaurant often because there are not enough food choices of interest.
We love Coho in Redmond. Its great before or after the movies. The menu is rotated so you always have new choices. The kids menu is kids staples and they will happily serve kids first if you chose. The have outdoor seating in the summer. In the winters, their soups are really good.
Our Easter Brunch was perfect. We were able to select from either the brunch or lunch menu and that worked for all of us. Our waitress definitely enhanced our experience, with her great service and wonderful suggestions. Always a treat to eat at Coho's.
The kimichi was disaster, I never knew it could get that bad. The with dessert was swill. Bad food experience, heard the salad was decent however so stick to the vegetables if you must.
The waitress, Erma, was so completely rude. Messed up our order; never once filled our water glasses; never checked on us when we finally got our food (which took forever). I hope I never receive that kind of service again. I'm so disappointed with how the restaurant handled the situation.
I went here with extended family with a larger group and had a nice experience. We were shown to our table right away and the service was good. When one of the party asked for something special they took care of it right away.
I've been to Coho many times and have always had a great experience. The food is prepared well and there is a lot of variety. Parking is good except for when a blockbuster film is playing at the movie theater.
Prime rib tonight was excellent. We also tried the salad nicoise and our kid had fish and chips which he loved (especially the chips)!
First time there on a Friday and it was hopping! Thanks goodness for Open Table! or we'd have to wait 30-50mins. We ordered RARE for our prime rib and got medium rare; I guess we can't be too picky at a place where they cook for a broad spectrum. It's acceptable once we tasted the smokey flavour on the outside! And since it's a prime cut, even the cooked parts were quite tender. Yeah, we'll go again, but earlier so we can ensure a rare cut.
I enjoyed the Chopped Seafood Salad, seating by the Fireplace on a cool wet day in Redmond was ideal, Jane, our server, promptly refilled our soft drinks and table conversation was NOT overpowered by either restaurant noise or other customers. Lunch was quite enjoyable.
What a great place to gather with friends and co-workers for lunch. Great menu selection for everyone. Even my gluten free co-worker was able to enjoy lunch with us.
Parker was an excellent server. Took the the time to explain the dishes and even found out what was in one of sauces for us.
Prices stay flat to higher over time while quality and quantity drop over time. Try Redmond Bar and Grill for a local better value.
The child's meal was unacceptable so he never ate, but the staff were very helpful and apologetic and the manager discounted the bill.
The food was pretty good, but the evening ended on a sour note because we were overcharged by $5. We were unable to take the time to get it fixed, so it was irritating.
The food is now full of very standard items. There old menu had lots of interesting choices which were well prepared. I doubt we will go back.
