Coho Caf in Issaquah, Washington specializes in Pacific-Northwest seafood and more. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the servers are friendly and helpful. The menu at Coho Caf is eclectic. Starters include seafood bisque, edamame with spicy sambai sauce, polenta fries, coconut crusted prawns and more.
Entres at Coho Caf include five-spice grilled chicken, al pastore marinated steak, beer battered cod and pad thai, to name only a few of the dishes on offer. You could also try the seared ahi tacos, bronzed salmon burger or wok seared chicken with noodles. Coho Caf also has a kids' menu, so the whole family can enjoy a meal together.
We had friends visiting from out-of-town and opted for Coho because of their extensive gluten-free menu options as one can only eat that. As always, the menu choices and daily specials are very good. Although the weather wasn't cooperative , we were seated in a quieter section away from the loud bar scene. Everyone found something they liked and ordered which was brought in a timely manner. My only concern was the seemingly sparse wait staff - maybe someone called in ill? Our server seemed quite frazzled, and forgot refills and requests for extras as she was serving an entire section alone. We love this restaurant and will return. Everyone has an off day.
Great food and friendly service. Happy hour selections are really good, as is the lunch and dinner menu.
The food at Coho is fantastic, the service is good, and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who like great contemporary food!
We have had dinner here a few times before and it was always great. This time though everything was just off. Calamari appetizer was overdone in oil that was way too old and was tasting bitter. Also there were rest pieces on there from previous batches that had been fried for quite some time. Yak. Bread was old, my burger was burned, my daughter's steak was well prepared but the meat was mediocre quality at best. All in all a miss this time.
Great food and service. Need to get rid of wasps outside. Music inside is extremely loud and irritating. Don't know if I would dine inside in evening. Too bad because everything else is excellent.
We had a 5:45pm reservation our group of 5, with a request to sit outside at on the patio. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. We were told they don't reserve for the patio. The patio only had a few tables occupied, but they would not seat 5 of us together outside, so we were inside. The waiter was quite rude at first. We were seated at a booth and pulled up a chair to keep our party of 5 less squished. The waiter did not like that and we ended up being squished!!
We had the Passport card for a free entree & a coupon for the same. They would not honor both even though other Coho's will honor both at the same time. They said if we had 2 Passport cards we could have 2 free entrees. Not a great experience. Will definitely not return!
I had the black cod special. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The sides were perfect, I hope they add this dish to the regular menu.
On our very first day in Seattle 10 years ago my husband, 9 year old son and I, when driving around checking out where to live, happened upon Coho's Issaquah for lunch. It has been our family go to restaurant ever since, Father's Day 2016 found us there again for the hundredth time! We dined outside after boating on Lake Sammamish, and it rounded off a lovely evening! This restaurant never disappoints! They have their usual menu which has had minor changes over time - everything good, plus a seasonal menu with new dishes. The food is always tasty with interesting combinations, and great value. Happy hour is even greater value!
Some of our favorites are: Coconut Shrimp, Sambal Shrimp, Avocado Crab Tower, Mahi Mahi Taco, Ginger Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Mains: Green Chicken Curry, Prawn Pad Thai, Kogi Beef Stack, Grilled Salmon. My boys love the burgers too!
Almond Joy is great for dessert!
Great quality and flavors in all the dishes our party of seven ordered. The service was great. Just the portions were on the smaller side.
Had to remind waitress to bring a additional set of utinsels.
On the three deserts the caramel sauce was put in the bottom of the glass rather than poored over the ice cream.
Went to Coho's to celebrate a significant birthday. There was another birthday group there as well as a work luncheon going on. The food was good, it was pretty busy and sometimes it was hard to get the attention of the waitress. The hardest thing was the noise level was very loud. We had a hard time carrying on a conversation within our table. I would recommend coming later after the normal lunch time, or coming when they first open at 11:00 if you want a quieter dining experience.
We recently tried Coho Cafe for Easter brunch and enjoyed it so much that we returned for Mother's Day brunch. Place was busy, but service was fast and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. I had the Chorizo egg scramble with a very yummy chile verde sauce and hash browns. Will definitely return!
Service just right Food great and fresh! 88 yr old mom and 16 year old and in between all found something they enjoyed. Thanks
Your Salmon Dish with the butter sauce... hands down one of my favs EVER! I've never had a bad meal there! So so good!!!
I recently had a business lunch at the Coho Cafe in Issaquah. The staff was friendly and the food was good. It can get a bit noisy there for lunch.
We frequent Coho often. The food and service are consistent and the pricing is moderate. Happy hour in the bar is always fun as well and a great selection and value.
Salmon & steak deliceous, normal serving sizes. Only think to improve is the veggie portion was tiny and mash potatoes runny but tasty. Desserts yummy. Gluten free menu available.
Loved the iron work lampshades & decore.
Usually the Coho Cafe's salmon dishes are great value and tasty. This month's special 'salmon with mushrooms and arugala' was not so great - came swimming in a pool of excess liquid that overwhelmed the mashed potatoes..........usually a great realizable local spot even if it is in the parking lot of Fred Meyer and Best Buy.
Very bland food for the price of each entree and appetizer. Dessert was the only good part of the meal and the service was so-so despite the restaurant being relatively dead.
We had the Prime rib for the first time after many times eating at both the Issaquah and Redmond CoHo locations. It was excellent and may entice us to dine out more often on busy weekend nights. Reservations are recommended as it filled up fast! Sunday Brunch is my favorite, but lunch and dinners are so good it's hard to choose!
The Coho is a family favorite and the default restaurant when we want a good meal with good service. Dinner specials are always good and it's comforting to choose one of the menu items from their regular selections. The wait staff is the best.
We love Coho Cafe! Best salads in town. The Applewood Chicken and fruit salad and the Ahi tacos are amazing!!
The waitress seeemed very nice and knowledgeable
Love cohos small plates as well as the friendly staff. One of my favorite "go to" places to eat!
Great food, perfect lighting, not to loud and attention to detail
My wife and I have been to the Coho Cafe in Issasquah several times and have never had a bad experience. The food is always well prepared and presented, including on split meals. The service is always great with friendly and professional staff and the ambiance, while casual, is very pleasing. Well worth the longish drive for us!
Excellent for large groups (we had 10 adults/9 kids) for brunch. Excellent service and great food!
I liked the new asian chicken salad.
The waiter didn't bring coffee to time well with dessert. She didn't fill water glasses until late in meal. The noise, even in a corner, was very, very loud.
I must have ordered the wrong thing since my yakisoba was not as good as I had hoped. It came tepid and not hot. The tofu cubes were hard and chewy, the broccoli contained mostly stems. I sent it back and had the delicious chowder instead. We usually have good meals at Coho and will go back but I will not order the yakisoba again. One of the specials last month was shrimp pad thai which was absolutely delicious. It should come back as a regular menu item!
We usually get the salmon with rice and veggie for my 4ys old. It's a big plate but he still manages to clean it up almost every time. And I taste it every time and it's been consistently well cooked, not too salty...healthier.
Food was superb. Service was exceptional. I'm visiting the area and may stay an extra day, just so I can go again.
The food selection was fantastic, the service was great, and the ability to eat outside ste it apart from the rest. I wish the resturants would increase the flow of A /C because in the corners with a full house you can become hot.
Really appreciate the consistent food and service quality at Coho
Love this place to meet colleagues, have lunch with friends, or an impromptu happy hour with the hubby. Offers more variety and quality without going overboard on price. The seasonal cocktails are creative and yummy - I always look forward to seeing what they come up with for the new season!
Our waiter was exceptional. Friendly and attentive, there when you needed him. Noticed that we might be celebrating a birthday so brought us a free dessert.
First time with friends they loved the extensive menu options. Salmon, Fettuccine, salad & steak were delicious
Hard to make a reservation, but not busy. Food very good and great service. We will be back
Coho's menu is really solid. We've York have a dish We haven't liked. Love having them close
We decided this year to do something we normally do not like to do: go out to eat a meal during a holiday. This Mother's Day was no exception, so we went out with some trepidation that it would be overcrowded and frantic. We were pleasantly surprised, however, that our table was ready when we arrived, and our waitress was very attentive. She had entertainment and menus for our two grandkids, and was ready to take drink orders right away (but with no pressure). When drinks arrived, one of the glasses had ice in it but no drink (which she noticed before she got to our table). That added to the humor because of her attitude about it, and was quickly corrected. Our meal arrived in good time and order, and the seven of us had a great time. Way to go, Coho.
