Havana meets Madrid at Coco Palm, the beautiful hilltop restaurant overlooking the San Gabriel Valley. Begin your evening with a Mojito or Sangria in the lounge, and then enjoy dinner while listening to our house music in the elegant restaurant, specializing in traditional Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Don't miss the Paelia Valencia or the House Steak, a 56oz bone-in rib chop for sharing. A variety of fresh seafood is available daily - from lobster and shrimp to fresh salmon in Albarino wine sauce or loin of Sea Bass in a Mango-miso sauce. Afterwards, show your moves in the Coco Room where every Friday we offer free salsa lessons, followed by a live twelve-piece salsa band. On Sundays we offer a spectacular all-you-can-eat Champagne Brunch, and an all-you-can-eat lunch is served daily. Valet Parking is mandatory on most nights, $5/vehicle.

Wednesday Nights: The Coco Palm features a live trio band playing lively Bolero music and songs by Sandra Valdivia every Wednesday night from 7pm-9pm in the Bolero Room. Thursday Nights: Saxophonist Nate Wilson plays smooth sets of contemporary and classic music in the main bar lounge, which can be heard in all the dining rooms. Friday Nights: Enjoy an evening dinner, then take some Salsa lessons in the nightclub (lessons from 8:30p-9:30p). Then join the world famous "Chino Espinoza y Los Dueños del Son", a 10 piece live salsa band. Nightclub closes at 1:00am. It's always a good idea to call the restaurant for certain blackout nights, especially in December.

The food was great. Service was excellent but one thing that was we sat in window area was very noisy and loud we can't hear ourselves talking in quite conversations. Also eating quietly having a great time at first time at your restaurant. The was a little bit expensive tell you the truth. We will be back next year for our 7 anniversary on September
Perched on the Hilltop with a great view the landscape offers palm trees and a great tropical feel. The variety of seafood and steak dishes provides something for everyone. We choose a lobster and steak combination to share. My spouse started with the lobster bisque and I had the Avocado and Mango salad with greens that was delicious. It was our anniversary and we shared a bottle of Cava to celebrate. Only wish I had remove for dessert as the house made cheesecake with guava topping looked amazing. I've been for brunch not never for dinner. We will be adding it to our list of go to spots.
I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and I was not disappointed. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and a very efficient waiter. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Paella Valenciana and it was incredible. We had a wonderful view of the city right from our seat. The waiter was very kind and always happy to help. He kept us filled on water and bread throughout the night. After the meal, he asked what was the occasion. I told him it was for an anniversary and he congratulated me. Five minutes later he brought me and my date a dessert paid for by the the restaurant as a kind gesture. There was a business group having a meal next to us and I took notice how kind the staff took care of there table too, bringing them desserts and wine. Coco Palm was an amazing experience and I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for an upscale eatery.
Empanadas are a good choice for an appetizer.....4 of them with a very nice sauce.
The 'fall off the bone' ribs did exactly that...never actually figured that they would be THAT tender...figured they'd be good, but not that tender.
The Parrill Argentina had chicken, two types of steak and a sausage. The sausage was very meaty...but, not to my wife's taste, so I got to finish it. The chicken breast was very good and the meats were seasoned well.
Finally, the Camrones were prepared well and tasted very good.
The portions were very generous.
The only downside was that the restaurant was noisy as there were 2 wedding receptions going on at the same time.
Ordered a Tito's Martini, was charged for a premium "Grey Goose" because they didn't have a button on their computer for Tito's. Had I of known I was charged for a higher price point vodka, I would of just ordered Grey Goose. We ordered two appetizers, which were very good. Lobster Bisque and ceviche.
When we ordered the sea bass, we told the waiter we were just going to split it, he offered to put it on two plates. We found that to be very nice...until we got the bill and our sea bass went from $35 to $46. They charged us an extra $11 to split the plates because he explained there was equal sides. I explained he should DEFINITELY let us know when there's such a large charge and the reason we wanted to split it was because we weren't very hungry and already had two appetizers, bread and beans.
The sea bass was not special. However, I am picky with fish since I'm a pescatarian, but when you're paying those prices, I feel I'm aloud to be.
The waiter asked if I wanted to take off the charge but I mentioned I didn't want anything for free. It should be required for someone to let you know that there's a split fee charge (especially for $11!) and for the vodka (not just say "we don't have a button").
How does a steak and seafood house charge you enormous prices but don't have the ability to put a button on their computer? Also, sidenote, Yellowtail wine are your wines by the glass when your entrees are the average of $35?
I worked in restaurants for 20 years, and have owned 2 establishments. It takes management less than 5 min to add a button. The server could have redeemed himself but taking the extra $$ off, but he didn't. When he dropped the check, he didn't leave me the itemized receipt, just the credit card receipt, so obviously I wouldn't see that he didn't take off the charge. I had to wait even longer for him to give me the bill.
On top of all that, one of our apps or entree cost us the next day because we were ill. So, never going back.
The dinner started with bread and beans which I thought was a unique combination but turned out to be pretty damn good. We started with the coconut shrimp and the calamari, which were both delectable. The mango chutney that came with the coconut shrimp was to die for. For the main course so we had to be 55 ounce Tomahawk steak for two, medium well...incredible! It came with mashed potatoes with some sort of creamy mushroom sauce, streamed vegetables and Plaintain's. nothing fell short of delicious.
We went for my birthday and I noted it as well but they did not do anything.
The server, Brian, was very nice and had a knowledge of good food and recommendation of variety Cuban food. If we would not change our place to balcony, we would not see the beautiful view and city lights. Overall we enjoyed the food and view.
