Havana meets Madrid at Coco Palm, the beautiful hilltop restaurant overlooking the San Gabriel Valley. Begin your evening with a Mojito or Sangria in the lounge, and then enjoy dinner while listening to our house music in the elegant restaurant, specializing in traditional Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Don't miss the Paelia Valencia or the House Steak, a 56oz bone-in rib chop for sharing. A variety of fresh seafood is available daily - from lobster and shrimp to fresh salmon in Albarino wine sauce or loin of Sea Bass in a Mango-miso sauce. Afterwards, show your moves in the Coco Room where every Friday we offer free salsa lessons, followed by a live twelve-piece salsa band. On Sundays we offer a spectacular all-you-can-eat Champagne Brunch, and an all-you-can-eat lunch is served daily. Valet Parking is mandatory on most nights, $5/vehicle.

I was impressed with the service of the waitress. She was attentive and engaged with us. The place was clean and the decor is beautiful with mini waterfall and aquarium. The food had presentation and was delicious.

Everything was fantastic! Ambiance was gorgeous, my daughter loved the parrot that greated us outside. Food was amazing, we had an appetizer of pollo croquetas, then lechòn asado for our entree and guava cheesecake for dessert then finished it off with cafe con leche. AMAZING! Service was provided by Araceli and she was a sweetheart! We will definetley be back to try the buffet as well. A+

Coco Palm is usually on point as far as the food goes. However, when I took my friend there on Friday afternoon, she ordered the lobster stuffed with shrimp and mushrooms and the lobster was very over cooked and rubbery. I ordered my usual which is the Sea Bass and it was fantastic as always. We were both surprised that the lobster came out the way it did. I would still go back, but I would order the Sea Bass.

We started with the guacamole appetizer. It was delicious! It includes a mango salsa and a green salsa. All were excellent! I had the Paella Valencia it was delicious! For dessert I had the bread pudding and it was topped with shredded coconut! Delicious! I will be back!

Our waiter had an attitude at first and started to warm up towards the end. The coffee was cold and bland, the food was over cooked. I would like to try give it a second chance and go again to see if perhaps I can be left with a different experience and a better impression.

The food was great as usual but this was the worst service I have experienced there and it was not very busy when we went. We had to ask at the front for our check. Our water and soda glasses we empty for most of the evening. Fix it!

Took my wife to an early Valentine Dinner. Had been awhile since my last visit that really was fantastic. Had high expectations for this round again but just fell abit short on our expectations. Service was ok but nothing special. Food tasted good but not great. The ambiance is still there so still made for a nice night. Just expected a bit more.

Food is mediocre! I had the New York Steak and my friend had the palomilla. We also shared a seafood tapa which might as well be called seafood GUM, so chewy! Staff is friendly, however, the lack of training is evident " including the bartender" worst martini I've ever had!

I've been to the Coco Palm before but this time found the experience to be not so great. Although the room had a nice view from the hills, it was VERY noisy. So much so that the music playing over the speakers was barely audible. The only feel of Cuba was when I visited the restroom where I could actually hear Cuban music over the speakers.
As for the food: The ropa vieja meat was flavorful BUT very tough to chew. Traditional ham crockets were not on the menu so we had the chicken crockets: soft and mushy. When I asked for picadillo....a traditional Cuban dish, I was told it was not on the menu. On the positive side, the black beans WERE delicious and the white rice was good as well. The service was also excellent.
Actually being from Cuba, I've had Cuban food all my life. For the prices charged here, the food in general was not up to par. Overall, very disappointing. There are much better Cuban restaurants out there.
One last comment: I found tortilla chips, salsa, and guacamole on the menu. Really?! I thought I was in a Cuban restaurant NOT a Mexican one.
