We went for Sunday brunch. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed the food. There was a great selection and what should have been hot WAS hot. Service was excellent. We will be back.

Our server Sheryl was awesome! Very friendly and answered all of our questions. We had the fries mozzarella, beef barley soup, chicken pot pie and pork porterhouse to eat. They were out of this world. Didn't have any room for dessert but can't wait to go back and try those. Can't say enough nice things about this place.

The Easter Brunch was fabulous. There isn't one complaint. Everyone enjoyed their food, the choices were over the top and no one rushed you out like you were on the clock.

I have been to this restaurant before but was quite disappointed this time on Easter Sunday. Understand it was a holiday--but the restaurant shouldn't lower it's standards. We were 4 people seated in a dark booth appropriate for 2 people in the dark bar--near the bathroom which was disgusting and smelled. We barely fit in the booth but when I asked to be moved, the hostesses basically said tough luck. First they couldn't find my reservation made via open table and said that the reservation number I had was inadequate. Then they told me my reservation was for an hour later than it actually was. Thankfully two of the party had already been seated because apparently my reservation was correct after all. It seemed to be high school kids managing the restaurant seating and reservations--there was not an adult in sight--and they didn't seem to know how to handle the volume. The food was just okay. I would not go there again on a holiday--too bad because it could be better with more care taken.

Went to Easter Brunch. The food was not the right temperature mostly everything was cold also the food did not taste that good. They were not refilling the foods fast enough so there would be no potatoes so you would have to wait and go up again then something else would be empty. Not worth the amount we paid for it all. Will not be returning here.

Loved our server. Most food was delicious. Omelette was good and cook was so personable. Very disappointed in crab claws and shrimp. Soggy and waterlogged. However tuna salad was goo. Variety of food to choose from. Will always go back but pricey.

Went to their Easter Sunday buffet with our family of 6. Made reservation early for more than a month and instead put us to a small table with crammed space, probably for not more than 4 in the pub area rather than the regular dining room or similar. My husband was so upset that we requested to change our table which they did. But need to make a fuss. Also gave us the check without asking. Really felt not welcoming by them.

When reservation made informed 1 guest in wheelchair and when they confirmed week of i again informed about wheelchair and was assured its noted. When we arrived we were advised we were seated in the dining room across from hostess therefor my 32 yr sister in wheelchair was unable to access buffet to get her own food. Just was a inconvience for her. Was disappointed that the wheelchair could not be fully accomodated . Big disappointment . No manager even came over to see us and apologize.

I have been her in the past several times over the years and the menu never changes or at least with the last two most recent visits. The service was so slow and it was a Thursday night with many tables available. The waitress couldn't have been any nicer. I had finished my meal and half way through, I ordered a second glass of wine. Finally the wine came. Too much time went by between ordering French Onion Soup and the time it was delivered. I have had much better. Go to the restaurant next door if you want good French Onion Soup.
To be honest, we were using a Groupon and it expired that day. Its a nice restaurant, but I personally have no reason to go back unless I am in Peddlers village with family or friends and they would want to eat there.
The restaurant has large working fireplace to the right as you enter. It is situated in Peddlers Village and many people have come here over the years.
For us, there are too many other restaurants in the area. For others?, enjoy!

The cock and bull is an old restaurant but that added to the ambiance of the restaurant. The hostess and our waitress were very nice and attentive from start to finish. I was not impressed with the food. The French onion soup was not hot and it had a sweet taste I didn’t care for. We both ordered the scallops for our main course and they were very good but small and the polenta that came with them was not hot. I don’t know that we will go back in the future.

Enjoyed Sunday brunch very much. Plenty of choices at the buffet and we never felt rushed. The restaurant was quiet enough so that we could have a conversation and be heard easily. I would definitely return... even though we live 1 1/2 hours away!

My family and I have been coming here for years, since I was a toddler (I'm now 26). We're Hart's patrons and attend at least twice a month. The current chef is the best they've ever had, we actually could tell when there was a change in the kitchen. Donna the server is GREAT and on top of her game. Their salads were amazing; we'll be back super soon!!!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Brunch is always very good here. The wait staff is excellent. I just wish there were more gluten free options for my daughter, who has celiac disease. They had checked off items on a paper that they said were GF, but oatmeal is not GF, and it was checked.

Restaurant was a little dated. Service was ok. Food was overpriced and arrived at our table cool not hot as it should have. There were only about 12 people in the restaurant so the food should have been toasty warm when it arrived. We used to come here all the time for a nice dinner, but now it’s only slightly better than basic pub food. Will not be spending money for mediocre food from there anymore! Sad!

The ambiance is very nice - the food was good, a bit overpriced for what we ordered, but it looked like some of the other entrees were well priced (and sized - ie the Prime Rib was enormous!). Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. There was a group of people who were incredibly loud across the restaurant. So loud that we couldn't hear each other talking to one another, which was distracting. It seemed as though the acoustics were such that any volume level carried easily. I'm not sure what that was about, but it was kind of noisy even though the restaurant was nowhere near full. We were seated by the window overlooking the courtyard, which was really pretty. The food was all right - we really loved our waitress' recommendation of the fried Mozzarella - not at all salty and really tasty!

There was a group of 8 of us. Always love to get together. This is not the first time this has happened. The waitstaff is not very friendly. I felt like we had to beg for our beverages. One of us did not get her beverage at first. Had to ask twice. They just seem cranky and not equipped to take care of large groups. I think 20% tip is ridiculous for a buffet.

Thanks

Service was good and I'm sure the atmosphere is charming but the empty restaurant should have been a clue to walk out and leave. The food was absolutely awful: chicken satay appetizer was rubbery and flavorless, chopped salad was the highlight but wasn't actually "chopped" and was drowned in dressing (used the underwhelming rolls to sop up dressing rather than eat), and I had one bite of my scallop dinner and had to spit it out because of a chemical taste. The manager offered dessert or another entree but I didn't want to attempt to consume anything else from there, so that was it.

My husband and I had a great experience here! I had been wanting to go for several months but we live far so I was happy we finally got the opportunity to do so. The restaurant was really unique looking and very clean. The food was fairly priced and tasted excellent. I only wish we had room for dessert! Donna was our server and she was fabulous. She was sweet and personable and reminded me of a family friend or someone we could’ve known our whole lives. She was so attentive and engaging, and she gave us packets and flyers of coupons and events/things to do next time we are in Peddler’s Village. We will definitely come back!
