The ambiance is very nice - the food was good, a bit overpriced for what we ordered, but it looked like some of the other entrees were well priced (and sized - ie the Prime Rib was enormous!). Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. There was a group of people who were incredibly loud across the restaurant. So loud that we couldn't hear each other talking to one another, which was distracting. It seemed as though the acoustics were such that any volume level carried easily. I'm not sure what that was about, but it was kind of noisy even though the restaurant was nowhere near full. We were seated by the window overlooking the courtyard, which was really pretty. The food was all right - we really loved our waitress' recommendation of the fried Mozzarella - not at all salty and really tasty!

There was a group of 8 of us. Always love to get together. This is not the first time this has happened. The waitstaff is not very friendly. I felt like we had to beg for our beverages. One of us did not get her beverage at first. Had to ask twice. They just seem cranky and not equipped to take care of large groups. I think 20% tip is ridiculous for a buffet.

Thanks

Hubby and I went for the valentines dinner buffet. It was delicious! Fresh salad, many side and main course options. I enjoyed the chicken Marsala and rice. My hubby loved the beef Wellington and potatoes. Desserts were just okay. So many options! This place is always a favorite for date night.

Service was good and I'm sure the atmosphere is charming but the empty restaurant should have been a clue to walk out and leave. The food was absolutely awful: chicken satay appetizer was rubbery and flavorless, chopped salad was the highlight but wasn't actually "chopped" and was drowned in dressing (used the underwhelming rolls to sop up dressing rather than eat), and I had one bite of my scallop dinner and had to spit it out because of a chemical taste. The manager offered dessert or another entree but I didn't want to attempt to consume anything else from there, so that was it.

My husband and I had a great experience here! I had been wanting to go for several months but we live far so I was happy we finally got the opportunity to do so. The restaurant was really unique looking and very clean. The food was fairly priced and tasted excellent. I only wish we had room for dessert! Donna was our server and she was fabulous. She was sweet and personable and reminded me of a family friend or someone we could’ve known our whole lives. She was so attentive and engaging, and she gave us packets and flyers of coupons and events/things to do next time we are in Peddler’s Village. We will definitely come back!

We had to wait a long time for anyone to come to our table after getting seated and then another long wait for water. The meat and cheese plate was messy with pickle juice and roasted pepper juice contaminating the cheese and meats on the plate - should be served on a wooden tray not a china plate, like so many other places with similar dishes. It's actually called a meat and cheese board BTW! The chicken pot pye was good, but not knock your socks off.

Food for was very good how ever, the eggs benidict was ice cold and the bagles were stale. The price is up there compared to other brunches but the day out with the family and the relaxing non rushed feeling made it worth. We will return

We’ve been coming to Peddlers Village for quite some time now and this is the first time coming to the Cock and Bull. Each previous time it was always booked.
My husband and I decided at the last minute to come up to Peddlers for dinner and it was perfect. Our server James was spectacular and the service he gave us was top notch. When we return I will most definitely ask for him.
The meal was delicious and my husband and I had a lovely time. A must to eat at when coming up to Peddlers Village.
