    Service was excellent, something that seems to be lost nowadays at most other eating establishments. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for what you received. Would highly recommend to diners. The only slight negative was perhaps it may be time for an update to decor - it is slightly worn on chairs. But that is only negative - thank you!

    Consistently delicious food in a casually elegant atmosphere coupled with awesome views through large, clear picturesque windows makes for a unique dining 'experience'! And the service is top-notch. Kudos to our server Morgan who was very attentive & acted as if we were her only table, especially during a very hectic Saturday at the start of the Scarecrow Festival.

    The Filet was outstanding. My wife had my second choice of Beef Bourguignon, which was excellent and very tender. Most importantly, I will go back.

    Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive, very helpful, but the food was just OK. The side salad was the star of the show. I would absolutely order that again. But really wish we had gone to the pub and gotten burgers. We went with main dishes and they just weren’t great. At that price point, I was hoping for something a little more.

    I haven't dined here in years and must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the restaurant clean and in order and the view outstanding. The wait staff was attentive, but there was only one server scheduled during our visit so service was a bit slow since she was training a young fellow. Considering the short staff I would say they did an exceptional job.

    This was our first time back to the Cock n bull since 2018. We have dined here several times over the past 22 years and have always had a great experience with the dining experience. This time was disappointing as the restaurant was out of stock with a wine selection, my wife’s prime rib was tough & overcooked which led to the meal not being as enjoyable as before.

    Overall my visit to Cock n Bull was a good one. Morgan, our server, was pleasant, efficient, and just the right amount of attentive. The food was very good and priced reasonably. The hostess, however, left a lot to be desired. I arrived before my two friends did and she sat me at a table in the middle of the dining room. When my two friends arrived, both in their 80s, the gentleman politely asked if we could have a table by the window. She told him flat out no; she can't be moving people around to different tables. At the time, there were three tables still open by the windows. I had been the only one seated at my table, none of the utensils had been touched at the table where I had been sitting, and the only thing Morgan had brought me was a glass of water. Not sure what the big deal would have been.

    We hadn't been to the Cock N Bull for about 30 years and we wanted to take our grandchildren there to experience the good times that we had had there. They loved it. And want to make it a regular on our outings. They also loved walking around the village. We will take them back.

    This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I was very disappointed in the food this time. The menu has become very limited and then the food was subpar. My roasted chicken was very hard on the outside and had very little meat. The Mac and cheese side looked good but tasted awful. Very disappointed .

    Dave was our server and did a wonderful job. The beef burgundy dish was tasty and a nice portion. I ordered the chicken pot pie. The pastry crust was tasty but the pie filling could have used more seasoning. The restaurant ambience was lovely.

    Everyone was very helpful. The hostess was great, checked me in to OT, let me choose where the most comfortable seating was for me (it was a slow evening). The bartender, very nice gent, helpful in his dining suggestions and nice follow up service. And the food was delicious as the bartender said it would be! Thank you for the nice meal and service. I will be back.

    Food was just ok. Had the bbq pulled pork sandwich which came with a side of coke slaw french fries and a pickle. Sandwich was just meat and bbq sauce, no seasoning or toppings added. Cole slaw came in a small condiment container and was warm which was gross. Not sure if that was because it was placed on a hot plate (or maybe just made and hadn’t yet been refrigerated) but gross and should’ve been put on plate last to keep cold. Same with the warm pickle. Fries were very dry and tasteless. We did have the Buffalo cauliflower starter which was really good but came out the same time as our meals.

    Food was adequate. Service not great. Took 45 minutes just to get our drinks. I had crab cake sandwich and the crab cake was fried. Did not expect that. They basically put in a basket of oil. Would not go back.

    This was a quiet evening. The bar was virtually empty before dinner and the very large dining room had only 3 others parties. Excellent service by Bernadette. We both started with the french onion soup which was delicious but very filling. DH had the chicken pot pie, which he loved. I had the crab cakes and could only eat 1 and left all the creamed spinach , which was tasty. We didnt need but had to have dessert so ordered the carrot cake. It was very good but we were really too full to enjoy. Not much of a wine list but we did enjoy the decoy Chardonnay

    It took 15 minutes for us to get our water.and iced tea. I asked for water with lemon, my husband asked for iced tea with extra lemons. He for iced tea with extra limes and i got water with no lemons. I ordered a hamburger medium. He ordered a hamburger med rare and asked if he could get onion rings instead of fries. Yes but it would be $3 more. Ok. He got a hamburger medium with a stack of raw red onion. What? Oh we don't have onion rings, she said. What happened to it will be $3 more. Is that the charge for the raw onions? And his burger was medium. . We did speak to the manager and he made things right but by this time we could no longer eat. And the hostess could use a course in pleasentry

    Like most restaurants now under staffed so service was lacking. Both my wife’s and my food was bland and underwhelming Chances will we won’t be revisiting this restaurant

    Our waitress was wonderful. I fortunately the food was not. The duck special was over cooked and the the filet mignon was a less quality meat than most filets that we have had. Drinks were mediocre. Will not be going back.

    Good food, friendly staff from the greeter (who joked with us) to the gentleman who took us to the table, especially our waitress Morgan. She gave us good recommendations. Helped surprise the 80th birthday girl with the staff coming out singing Happy Birthday to her carrying a cheesecake with a candle in it. She was thrilled.

    We have been to the Cock and Bull a number of times, usually on a busy weekend evening. Yesterday we visited on a quiet Monday evening. After a drink in the attached tavern we arrive in time for our 6:00 reservation. We both had a traditional turkey dinner and shared a dessert. Our server was efficient, friendly and clearly experienced. We look forward to a return visit.

    My husband and I drive an hour for the French onion soup which is AMAZING ~ We both had the roast turkey dinner which was insanely moist and delicious ~ The (1) and only one negative review was the cranberry relish ~ It just did not taste right ~ Pickled cranberry relish ruined the turkey (at least for us) ~ We will ABSOLUTELY be back but we will be bringing our own cranberry sauce ~ 😊
