American
Located in Peddler’s Village, the Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant has been serving signature American classics like chicken pot pie for over fifty years as well as modern versions of classics such as beef, poultry and seafood entrees. The menu is changed seasonally so fresh interpretations of American-based cuisine are featured throughout the year. The dining rooms are richly appointed with Colonial-style embellishments, along with the Jamison family’s private collection of folk art and antiques. The Cock 'n Bull is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Sunday mornings, a bountiful brunch buffet awaits, and the restaurant presents special dining events throughout the year. Private function space is available. Large parties are welcome! NOTE: Sunday brunches are not served on festival weekends. See https://peddlersvillage.com/festivals/ for those dates.

I come to Cock n Bull often & I am never alone. I always bring family & friends that have never been at the restaurant. I take great pride in introducing them to this place & the surrounding area. They all deserve to experience this place and I am able to do it for them.

I had such high hopes for this place. As have heard good things over the years so we decided to have lunch there during the peach festival we attended. Let me first state the positives. We were seated next to the large windows overlooking the court yard which was very nice be able to view the activities outside. Our waitress Jacki was very pleasant even though it was very busy and she was hustling between the tables. Now for the not so positives: the food. I had the Philly Roast Pork Sandwich which was very bland. thinking the sharp provolone would have added flavor only to be disappointed as it came with regular provolone not sharp as they had described on the menu. My wife had the crab imperial so she thought. It was not creamy, lacking in lump crab meat and dry. She swears it it was just a crab cake smashed into a small baking dish. For my last thought, though our table at the window was nice it also afforded a view of the wall behind where the wait staff was working. As we waited for our food I witnessed a waitress deliver food to a table, it appeared the patron did not like some topping on his sandwich she took it away. She went behind the wall, removed the bun then proceeded to remove the topping-with her hand and throw them in the trash, she then replaced the bun and went back and served the sandwich. I would not kid myself to think that was what they probably would of done in the kitchen I just did not need to see nor think that would be very sanitary. Bottom line though this was the low light of our day we did have nice time in Peddler’s Village.

We had 5:45 reservations,we arrived at 5:35 two couples walked in right in front of us with 6:00 reservations & were seated ahead of us. Manager visited two tables around us for complaints. My wife’s salmon came out uncooked.

The service was very slow despite the fact that the dining rooms was almost empty. Maybe 4 other occupied tables. The food was good but not what it used to be. We ordered items we had ordered in the past over the many years we have been going here, and while the items on the menu were the same items they were obviously new recipes and not as good as in the past. There were also a few new items on the menu. We used go go here very often, but it started to change and unfortunately it has changed to a point that we will not be going back. Such a shame, as it used to be one of our favorites.

Three friends and I had a lovely lunch at the Cock ‘n Bull. Two of us had a chicken pesto sandwich and two of us had the Cobb Salad. All four of us were quite pleased with our selection. Our server was attentive and handled our needs beautifully. It was a nice gathering place for us.

We were alone in the resturant for about an hour and had a lovely meal. Food was abundant. The cost for what I could eat was out of proportion but I understand the cost based on what is offered! Great time. Thank you!

Service was really slow and there were not that many people in the restaurant. The prime rib specials were delicious -/ was the chicken franchise. My Chicken pot pie was underwhelming. All chicken and crust and very very few vegetables, 2 skinny baby carrots and 1 tiny celery slice. Very disappointing. The apple slaw had caraway seed in it which gave it an unpleasant flavor.

I have eaten here many times and I have loved it. The crabcakes were very good; but they were cold. The carrots and string beans were cold and tasteless. The waitress, however ,was very attentive and the ambience is very nice. I may return in the fall, since this was my first negative experience.

They'd recently introduced a new menu. It isn't as good as the previous offerings, but okay. Go for the atmosphere and the view of the Village.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know. There are still a decent amount of the same menu items. We can also prepare some of the old menu items. Please ask your server to speak with a manager the next time you are in. Jeff P.

My family has been coming to Cock 'n Bull my whole life. I feel the quality of food and service has decreased over the years. Servers probably shouldn't split a room if they can't handle it since we had to ask multiple servers multiple times for things, though Kevin seemed to be the only one on top of it.

Cock n’ Bull was great and very accommodating. My friend and I showed up when dinner was being served and the Impossible burger was listed on the lunch menu. The restaurant happily allowed me to order from the lunch menu instead as the dinner menu didn’t offer much for me as a vegan. They also make a great Moscow mule!

Dining room was drafty with strong AC blowing. Menu was limited to only a few entree choices. Wedge salads was great. Beef was so-so and tasted more like pot roast than steak.

I have fond memories of this restaurant. Unfortunately my recent visit disappointing. The food was average to poor and the service was terrible. The turkey was tough and didn’t taste like fresh turkey, the portions were small, the rice pilaf was terrible, I could go on. The restaurant was empty and the food came out cold and took forever. The server claimed to know nothing about the wine as she said she was under 21.
I love Peddler’s Village, but unfortunately I will have to find another option for dinner on my next visit.

Extremely disappointed. Made reservations for Sunday brunch only to arrive to find that no brunch was being served due to the festival. We only stayed as it was 11 am and we had not eaten yet. We have crossed this restaurant off our brunch list.

Love coming here. Hostess made us wait 15 minutes before seating us. Even though we were on time for our reservation. I even ran back to the car that was parked by GiggleBerry and we still weren’t sat yet. She seemed annoyed by anyone who came in. Otherwise, our waitress was wonderful and accommodating. Food was great.

Average buffet. Everything eatable. Very pricey, not worth 42 per adult. Some items were missing, table was not ready at reservation time, and staff was attentive. One table complained about the food, yet they kept eating it, and staff offered that table crab legs( not on the buffet menu) to please the unhappy, yet still eating table.

We visited on Mother's day 2019 and were caught a bit off guard as the day's menu (buffet only) was not apparent via the website link we found through open table. That being said, we opted to stay and partake. Unfortunately, the wait staff provided no information on the locations of the multiple buffet set ups in the various rooms and we found the breakfast buffet (although it was 5:10 pm) and thought it was the only food available. At 5:10pm the breakfast items (waffles and french toast) were well beyond their service prime and should have been removed. We found other dinner items interspersed within the breakfast buffet (chicken parm and blackened cod) which lead us to believe that this was the entire buffet (and thought that to be very odd as there were no vegetable beyond breakfast potatoes on this particular buffet) which we later discovered (through our own means) was not the case as a separate dinner and salad buffet were available around the corner in another room. A scant few minutes on the part of the wait staff could have helped us avoid the mistake that was made. Further, at the end of the day it was very apparent that the wait staff was tired as indicated by their less than professional attention and overall demeanor. At the end of the day, we did not feel like valued customers although we paid full fare including the 20% gratuity that was added into the bill (maybe because we were a group of 5).

Mother's Day brunch was cold, not worth $42 plus the automatic gratuity of $42 since we served ourselves. The choices were bland, not exactly surf and turf for the price. Servers did not come around for additional coffee and they charged $42 extra? The cost did not match the service or quality of food. Fluffy waffles and French toast were hard. Won't recommend this place for a dog!

My parents and I came here for the Mother’s Day buffet as we have done for the past 26 years. As always, the food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful. This year, the buffet was set up differently than usual; it had different sections interspersed throughout the dining room, rather than everything in one area. We actually preferred this because it broke up the lines, and created more walking room, so it was much less congested. It was also nice and quiet and the room seemed much more spacious. Our server, Donna, is incredibly kind and attentive. She has served us many times before, and she always takes the time to talk with us, and make sure we have everything we need. She is very personable, and you can tell she truly cares about the customers and their experiences. We have never once been disappointed with the Cock n’ Bull. Our experience is always above and beyond our expectations.

DO NOT ORDER YOUR CHILD THE CHICKEN TENDERS!!!! My 2 year old daughter was served RAW chicken. Not pink or slightly pink chicken, but real raw chicken. I couldn't believe it since this was a kids menu item! I was so disgusted that I left immediately after showing the manager. He couldn't even believe it. Dont get me wrong, the people working there were very apologetic and sincere. The manager, Louis, even found us at another restaurant in the area and insisted on covering our bill to make up for what had happened. That was very nice of him. I'm so upset this happened because I was celebrating my.cousins birthday and remembered the food being so amazing the last time I was there. I don't think I could ever go back there again. Thank you Louis for being very kind to us but I do hope you fire that cook who served us raw chicken. Im sorry but they shouldn't be cooking food

We wanted to experience the brunch which is outstanding however a kids festival was taking place that day so it was not available. We were truly disappointed because the brunch is delicious and we could not order any breakfast items on the menu. Make sure you call ahead of time because the brunch cancellation was not listed on their website but the food and service was still great!

Disappointed, no Sunday Brunch! My wife and I traveled 15 miles for the Sunday Buffet Brunch, but they did not have it because of a festival at the village. We ordered off the menu and the rest is annotated in the rating. The overall Poor rating is because everyone that came in asked or complained about no brunch. When the manager finally came out and apologized at each table, but offered nothing for people who traveled more than 35 miles just for the non existent brunch. A $10 gift card, free drink or desert etc. on the next visit would have gone a long way. As it is, I don't know if we'll ever return. There was nothing special about the food, the décor is. nice and our server was excellent

Made a reservation weeks ago for Easter Sunday at 4 pm. We got there a few minutes early, but had to wait an hour to be seated. Yet there were unused tables scattered about the dining area. We were not greeted by a waitress for 5 minutes. By the time we got to the buffet tables, some items were out and not replaced, leaving less choices. Been going there for many years, never had such an experience.

We have been multiple times for Thanksgiving but our first Easter buffet and we will not be returning. Plates constantly burning hot to hold and waiting for them to bring more out a few times. Food was cold. Turkey was dry. Prime rib had zero flavor. Dessert bar was poor quality desserts. Just not a great experience at all for the price.
