Food was strange, not very good Guacamole was good and fresh.

THE TUNA WAS EXCELLENT! STREET TACO SIZE PORTIONS WERE GREAT SO WE COULD ALL MIX UP AND TRY MULTIPLE ITEMS.

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN!

As always, the food was phenomenal. We got the corn chowder, anticuchos, and potato sopes. We missed the original decor, though. We liked how intimate it felt for dates when it was darker. The new, lighter decor isn't bad; we just preferred the original vibe.

This is a party place! People were having fun, enjoying great cocktails, and small plates of fantastic Mexican flavors. ALL GOOD!

The food is always fabulous but I do think that the ala carte menu style can get quite expensive.

Very unique menu with some outstanding food items depending on what you pick off the menu. The tequila flights were amazing as well as the ability to order tapas rather than full meals. The ambiance was great, and I would enjoy coming here again!

I was using a special margarita coupon which made it worth the time and money. I was seated in the bar area and was glad I was alone because it was too loud to carry on a conversation. I went at Happy Hour, so the taco (2 small tortillas and enough filling for both of them) was reasonably priced ($3.50 vs regular $5 price), but nothing to rave about. My server did a good job. My drink, if I had to pay for it, was $11.00.

The remodel is nice, but lighting in back is way too bright -- need a dimmer. A fruit fly wouldn't leave us alone, wouldn't comment except it same thing happened last time we were there. Love the guac, pork carnitas tacos and signature margarita and will be back for those!

Sarcastic and slow waiter. Very noisy. Have been here a few times to see if it would improve but I think this was the last time.

We enjoyed the food, Trinity Margarita was terrific.
Our waiter was very pleasant and food came out in timely manner even though it was very busy.
One thing occurred which I really wondered about. I had asked for a booth when I made my reservation. The hostess seated us at a table and I asked if we could be seated at one of the several booths which were not occupied. She told us they were for 4 or 6 even though 3 of them had 2 people in. Two people were also seated later in the remaining booths after she told us that.

We sat on the patio, and while our server was wonderful and quite helpful, there were long periods of time where service was missing, almost like the servers had sections inside and had to each grab a table outside or something. The noise level inside was quite high, and at times made it really difficult to hear periodically. It is a beautiful restaurant on the inside with a few patio tables.

The food was wonderful. It is served tapas style, so be prepared for small plates and ordering multiple plates. It was our first time at Barrio, so we found it helpful to ask the server what was the best. We were not disappointed. While all of the items we ordered were wonderful, the ones that were our favorites were the Snapper Ceviche, Mahi Mahi tacos and beet salad. I also loved the sweet plantains, however they are not a dessert. We did not try any desserts this time around.

Again, the food was wonderful, the server was awesome, but it seemed like there was some issue with how the patio tables were being served, and it was a little loud for us. But we are (gasp!) older than most of the other diners we saw. We'd go back, the food was really quite good.

We were pretty much forgotten about. Management and another server helped and ordered next rounds. We never get out to date night. Ahi tacos were awesome ! Tamal dry. Egg overcooked. Probably wont be back to that location ever. :(

When I first walked in, it was extremely noisy, but we had reservations and found our reserved space to be much quieter. Very easy to converse with our group of 5.

It was our first time at Barrio, and we were very happy with our choice. Unpretentious, and really good, fresh food and great service. The drinks were a bit spendy, so if we went at Happy Hour, we'd have no complaints at all.

The warm and open interior of Barrio in Edina is a sharp contrast from the dark and crowed interior of Barrio on Nicollet Mall. However, it works great in the location. The food is the same high quality across a diverse menu of tasty items, and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with her suggestions.

Outstanding food! I went here with my family as a graduation dinner and it was so delicious. I will never forget the wonderful experience I had here with my friends and family!

Our waiter Tra was terrific! We’ve had bad service here in the past but Tra made sure we had everything we needed. Service was quick and friendly. Food and drinks were great as always!

Seated fast but then no service for 10 minutes. Waiter gave us wrong appetizer. He was nice but it was not worth the cost of food

We love the Barrio margarita and their guacamole. I only wish that I didn't have to spend $60 for a few tacos, guac, and a couple of margaritas.

Food was delicious. Our waiter was not great - inattentive, forgot our chips and salsa, didn’t explain my husband’s drink (there was a special way to mix it), didn’t ask if we wanted dessert and when we did order he moved so fast that we had to call him back so my husband could order a coffee. I would definitely go back again because the food was great, but if he ended up being our waiter again I would ask to move to a different section.

Margaritas pricey. Otherwise, service was good and food was just OK.

Few choices for vegetarians and no flexibility in adapting meat entrees to meatless.

My wife and I eat here fairly often and it never disappoints. Love the food, and it's perfect if you have to eat gluten free like my wife. The remodel in the Edina location is amazing...what a difference!

Reserved table for outside only to have an hour wait. Super noisy inside. Had half hour left of hh but was charged full price for drinks then went to order food and was told hh had ended 5 min a go. Would have been nice to have been told. Server was sweet but that was annoying. Overpriced food for what it was, dry steak on taco and tortilla was wet. Did get outside (1 hour later) which was better.

Three of the five of us had been there multiple times and we brought our friends to check it out. The server wasn’t very attentive and took a while to come back to take our order. The food came out timely from the kitchen but taking our order, drink delivery and closing us out was less than desirable.

Great food and drinks, server was excellent! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We went during dinner time so I wasn't surprised that it was a little noisy. Still a really great atmosphere.

The ONLY negative in this wonderful place is the number of young kids/noise/mess. I have grown children and certainly don’t mind children in a restaurant, I actually like that they are out in more restaurants these days, I just wished I had known this prior as we were having an adult night. Excellent food. Excellent service.
