Cochon on 2nd
Whether you’re planning a family dinner, a night out with friends, or a gastronomy treat for out-of-town guests, we believe Cochon on 2nd will become your favorite dining destination.
Fire Cracker Shrimp
Creme brûlée was still icy in the middle not sure what happened other than that my steak was amazing
It was nice, my family loved there food. A little dark around the bar area where our table was.
If you’re worried about Covid, I’d skip this place. The owner and chefs weren’t wearing masks and the tables were not six feet apart. Shame on them for not protecting their patrons and staff.
My wife and I enjoy Cochon, consistently very good.
Entre seemed a little saltier this time.
This was our first time, but will certainly be our last! Loved the food and atmosphere! Brittany took very good care of us!
Was hoping for some more pork options since their sister, Moody's, offers so much and more socially distanced tables. Tables are certainly not 6 feet apart!!!! No one in the kitchen were wearing masks!!! Feels like normal times, but I don't want things to feel normal right now so it was a bit off putting. Have to admit that tarnished my experience a bit as a result and I'll pause before returning.
We enjoyed our meal outside the night before so much we came back to eat inside the following night. I started with a Bulleit Rye Manhattan and my wife had a glass of sauvignon blanc. We shared the arugula salad based the recommendation of our very helpful server, Sam. We decided to go with beef this night, my wife choosing the on menu beef tenderloin while I chose the ribeye special, and we washed it down with a nice bottle of Cakebread Cabernet. Another great meal and great service from Sam. Highly recommended!
Our first visit to Cochon and we decided to sit outside. Our server, Brianna, was hilarious and helpful! We started with their signature martini and old fashioned, both of which were quite good. We shared the fried oysters appetizer, and then had the on menu pork chop and lamb chops with a great Jordan cabernet. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended!
Our favorite restaurant in the area, we will be back!
Great service and best food we had in Williamsburg! Wonderful cocktails, great outdoor space. The outdoor tent faced the road which was disruptive. The service was attentive, fun, inviting, and warm as we celebrated my wife's birthday.
This was a delicious dinner. The food was outstanding! It was fine dining food, but without pretention. I took my kids, and they found no problem finding things to eat. The staff was nice and accommodating.
The food was amazing and the service couldn’t have been better!!
Love it. Great place to celebrate a birthday. Food and wine were wonderful.
Food was most delicious. Staff very friendly and provided excellent service.
Wonderful food and staff. Its a favorite of ours!
Charming environment, helpful staff, felt safe distance from other diners. Food was good, cooked perfectly to order for degree of "doneness". Not a large menu but nice variety of choices - salads were particularly memorable. Entree prices what you would expect for a quality restaurant and our waiter timed things well so we didn't feel rushed. Wine list is a bit overpriced but other than that will come back there again for a special occasion.
The atmosphere was just as I expected. Lovely. Duck was a bit overcooked. All else was delicious.
Food was great as always. The service by the young lady there was perfect. Had a good time as always at Cochon.
Food was outstanding, but pricy. Sevice was friendly and efficient. It was not the restaurant's fault, but for the first half of our evening we were seated near a loud table of six (no profanity, just loud. All in all, we consider Cochon a good choice for a special evening, but too pricy to be one of our regulars.
Seldom does a restaurant now exceed our expectations! Thursday evening was one of those times. My wife and I were celebrating a 54th Anniversary and the hostess who sitted us acknowledged the event and provide a specially printed menu with the occasion at the top.
Our server was extremely pleasant and efficient, not rushing us at any point during 2 hour dinner.
The Blazing Shrimp was an excellent start to our meal. We each chose a salmon dish. We both felt that the preparation and presentation were excellent. My salmon with a crab-stuffed filling was large, even for me. The sides of grilled vegetables and a potato dish were also great.
I need to mention that a younger couple eating near us, pre-paid a large portion of our meal as an anniversary gift unknowingly to us until the service brought us our check. This was an unbelievable expression of "paying it foward" in the Williamsburg's community.
Overall, this was a very memorable occasion.
The food was as good as Le Yaka and Fat Canary, but the ambiance was not. My husband and I enjoyed the meal but we felt it was overpriced $170.00 for two with 2 glasses wine. We have probably checked this square off since the price is similar to other places that have better ambiance.
Always a great evening with Neil and his team.
Excellent meal. The oysters were wonderful and the pork chop huge, flavorful and moist. Highly recommended
The food and service was fabulous. I hd tuna Provençal that was phenomenal. We ordered a $10 piece of carrot cake to take home and share. It was by far the worst piece of carrot cake ever! plus it was 1/2 the size of what a $10 piece of cake should be and was two circles of thin cake with frosting in between. Cochon needs to remove this cake from the menu immediately
Always wonderful food and service. Fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly.
Everything was lovely except for the presentation of the ordered selections....we wanted to experience an unrushed dinner....other than that....it was delightful. Food was excellent !!!
Great little gem in Williamsburg serving locally sourced food. Adherence to COVID restrictions is super important to me, and they did it right: customers required masks for entry, and all staff were masked too. The tables were spaced nicely - they do have outdoor seating but it was raining... so it was a wash, LOL. We had great drinks: a Bulleit old-fashioned for my date, and an Elderberry martini for me. Both were generously poured and delicious. To start, we had the seared sea scallops with shiitake mushroom brown butter sauce (it's listed as an entrée, but they offered it as an app special this evening). Wow, they were perfectly cooked, and the brown butter was awesome. Date had the 60 day dry aged NY strip - it did not disappoint! I had the lamb chops and they were also tender and tasty. There were so many other items on the menu that I wanted to try - will definitely be back to sample more!
Amazing food. Fresh and delicious
Absolutely stunning! Beautiful interior, delicious food, and excellent service! Will be back!
We love Cochon and always go there when we are in the area. It consistently exceeds our expectations in every respect.
Our favorite for everything. All occasions. You won’t be disappointed!
Thrilled with everything, food was excellent.
Gourmet quality food. Large portions. Excellent, attentive service. Somewhat expensive, but worth it for a great meal.
Excellent meal and presentation. Listening to the specials is like an appetizer by itself. My mouth was watering, and we had difficulty deciding between the delectable offerings. The service is always warm yet very professional. We can’t wait to have the opportunity to go for dinner again.
The food here is always fantastic- but especially during peach season! Amazing salmon appetizer with grilled peach and a sauce that is out of this world!
Awesome! Always enjoy the experience!
Food was delicious. We ordered all specials and made our own sort of tapas
Food, ambiance, service as impeccable as always. A truly memorable experience and a true diamond for the community. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Fresh food and friendly service in a pretty place! So glad Cochon has reopened.
