The food was excellent. My steak was prepared exactly the way I wanted: Pittsburgh Rare. The service was also excellent with an exceptional attention to detail. We highly recommend this restaurant for a most memorable dining experience.

We arrived just before opening. Sitting at the bar, came to hear Jazz music and eat terrific food. We ate an Oyster Appetizer and also Sticky Ribs. Both were delicious. Enjoyed the evening music and with Jeremy, the bartender & his associate. It is not the first time we ate at Cochon. The surroundings, friendly staff and food was top notch. Also had a sumptuous Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.

I had not visited Cochon's for a while. I am sorry I did that because the food is exceptional! And, the menu is constantly changing. My husband had the watermelon salad, which was awesome! I had the smoked chicken breast, which was also awesome! Our server, who was new, was attentive, but not overly so. He was polite and pleasant. Yes, we will be returning soon.

Delightful service, but unacceptably noisy so much so that we older folk had a hard time making conversation, very expensive and food so greasy (everything fried, even the undercooked vegetables) we could only eat about half the meal. A great disappointment for our 66th Anniversary.

My son and daughter-in-law dined here for a date night. A gift to two amazing parents from the proud and grateful grandparents of their two adorable girls. They enjoyed the night out. The food, cocktails and service were all top notch. Thank you for making this a memorable evening for them.

Second time here. Both times, the food was exceptional and our servers were absolutely excellent. I will ensure I visit every time I’m in Williamsburg. Don’t book if you want to rush through your dinner - the experience is definitely to be savoured. This is so far my #1 resto in Williamsburg for dinner by a long shot. Make a reservation!!!

Cochon on 2nd has excellent choices of meats and seafood along with fresh local produce combined in delicious meals. Their cocktails are tasty but a bit heavy on the alcohol for my taste. The first course had selections of fried oysters, salads, fresh tomato. Each of us ordered the beef tenderloin. The steak was very tender. The only issue all three dishes were served rare to med rare when I requested medium temperature. I did send the steak back and it returned shortly cooked to the correct temperature and still tender. The protein was accompanied with potatoes au gratin and roasted vegetables. The desert selection offered several options from Crème Brule to a flourless chocolate cake. As the evening progressed and more tables were filled, it did get a bit difficult to have a conversation. I'm glad they are busy and deserve to be with the excellent food selections.

Wow! Wow! Wow! My friend recommended this restaurant when we were dropping my son off at WM and it was beyond impressive. Warm inviting ambience. Perhaps the best service I have ever had. The attention to detail on the food was incredible and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. In addition to the regular menu, they had a ton of specialty dishes that were sourced from local farmers. I can’t say enough about this restaurant and I cannot wait to go back.

We loved everything about our experience! It was our first visit, however we will return and highly recommend this great restaurant. We vacationed in Williamsburg and by far, Cochon was our favorite place, surpassing the Roosevelt Room at the Williamsburg Inn, Fat Canary, Opus 9, Waypoint and Berrett's. Jordan, our server, was delightful and excellent at her job! The ambience is inviting and don't miss the octopus salad and duck breast entree. Thanks for a lovely dining experience!!

Presumptuous restaurant that overcharges for mediocre and tasteless food. Spent close to $400 for dinner for four people and left unsatiated. Description of food was mouthwatering, but failed on execution. Portions were small, unseasoned, and undercooked. All entrees came with a side of scalloped potatoes (that were undercooked) and one small carrot and one small zucchini (that were each cut in half). There was no bread basket for the table - instead the waitress doled out one slice per person as if it were being rationed. The Pan Seared Crab Cakes appetizer was only one (despite the name) small, thick portion that was undercooked. The two salads came with an abundance of greens but little toppings - the Rocket Arugula salad had maybe 3 peach quarters, and berries despite there being no berries in the description. The Nantucket Sea Scallops were chewy, the Berkshire Pork Chop and Tuna Tartare were unseasoned. For dessert, the Apple Dutch Baby was somewhere between a runny apple cobbler and a runny nose. The best part of the meal was the wine.

We had an awesome server. It’s a bit chilly inside so recommend bringing a sweater even in the summer. It’s also unusually smoky inside but in a cozy way. But beautiful restaurant, just 10 mins from Busch Gardens, not at all touristy. Impressive selection of seasonal specials. Loved our appetizer of charred octopus salad.
