The food was great! The room we were seated in was very loud but expected for a Sunday evening at rush.
Great location and environment to meet with friends for Sunday morning brunch.
Menu is excellent with some interesting items.
I’d recommend going!!
The atmosphere was nice but the food was just average and the waitress tried to pad the bill.
Great place. Enjoyed everything about it.
Straight up nice restaurant in Lowell. I really enjoyed the experience and found the service to be great, while letting us enjoy a fine dinner without feeling rushed. The dining area is totally unique, with a great sense of history with it's 19th architecture and view of the mills. I will definitely visit Cobblestone's again when in the Lowell area.
Excellent Food and service. Great historic architecture and ambiance.
I regret not having returned to Cobblestone's in many years. The food was excellent, especially the onion soup, green salad and mixed seafood over pasta. The two white wines selected were deliciously fruity. There were relatively long waits in between courses ... probably the fault of the kitchen on a night with most tables empty.
The food was good and the service was excellent. The only problem I had was that there were no vegetables served with my meal. I ordered a lovely steak which came with mashed potatoes but there were no vegetables. I don't see how a restaurant offering plates at these prices and in such a lovely spot can get away with not serving more healthful meals.
We ordered four burgers cooked ranging from medium rare to medium. All came out extra well done. The waitress never offered to have the food remade for us. She was however extremely nice and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed the rest of the meal. We also went during Sunday brunch so maybe they had a different cook who normally doesn't make burgers.
We shared a shrimp appetizer that was spicy and very good. I had the barbecue steak with mashed potatoes and crisp fried onion rings. The tips were ok but the potatoes and onion rings were very good. We shared the Stones dessert and it was excellent. Overall I enjoyed the meal and our waitress was attentive but not annoying. I would go again.
Nicholas was a fine waiter. Very personable and professional!
We like Cobblestones, it's traditional American food in a beautiful old building that was formerly a private club. There is nothing unusual or exciting here, but its well prepared.
Nice selection of craft beer on tap. Enjoyed the steak tips. They had a little more kick then I prefer, but I thought they were tender and most others wouldn't mind the heat. My Wife enjoyed the seared scallops. We don't usually get dessert but went all in with Stone pie? At least I think that's what it was called. It was delicious
Prime Rib was ordered medium and arrive medium rare. Short ribs were dry and not fork tender. This is the second time our meat temperature was incorrect. Each time Cobblestone is quick to correct the mistake but I wish our meals would arrive perfect the first time.
Comfortable dining room and active lounge, along with private rooms makes this historic building in downtown Lowell ideal for everyone. Extensive menu ranging from bar food to gourmet dinners. Excellent service, not overwhelming but very attentive and helpful when required.
Good food, great service
The service was sufficiently attentive and the environment is well appointed. However, the regular menu continues to disappoint - a hamburger arrrived not medium rare as requested, and cold. This was th e second occassion. Appears specials are better that that experience, but just average
Great ambiance, healthy creative food and good service. What more could you want?
Birthday dinner...asked for birthday cake via open table reservation process as well as called and requested cake....Nothing and did not want to make a scene...Lack of attention to details...also bathroom pretty dirty and pretty bad snow plowing...very little parking.
This was the fourth time we had been to Cobblestones but only the second time for inside dining . We have had an excellent time every time. Good food and great service. We have always been so impressed with our server. This time it was Sherease and we just loved her. Warmth, professionalism---just little things that took it from good to great. Our appetizers ranged from truffle fries, hot pretzel and shrimp cocktail---all wonderful. Our entrees ranged from BBQ to fish and chips to chicken marsala and steak tips---also all great. We asked for specifics on our table when we reserved and they did that no problem. The night turned out exactly as we would have wished.
music is always too LOUD for table conversations and not that great to listen to
Amanda was excellent. She suggestively sold me their special gingerbread martini which was just as good as she described it to be. The shrimp and corn chowder was excellent! My husband loved the pork cracklings but did say they needed bleu cheese to dip in. The marinade on the steak tips was delicious too. The parking lot is a challenge but it’s out of their control. Overall we were very pleased. We stumbled upon this gem through opentable just being in the area and looking for a nice dinner.
Five star for sure! The whole experience was wonderful! Food was excellent, restaurant is beautifully restored inside and out, nicely decorated for the upcoming holidays, and the our server, Jacqui was very personable and attentive but not overbearing. Salmon dinner was delicious! We only wish we lived/worked closer to enjoy more frequently. A definite GEM!
Solidly a very good restaurant. We’ve been a few times now for various events we’ve been to in Lowell and have never been disappointed. I love that they have one of my favorite beer choices, Kentucky Bourbon Ale.
Went in for brunch with a few friends and everything was pleasant from the moment we walked in. Clean restaurant, best mimosas we’ve tried, and the food was amazing. They had a live singer that gave the whole experience something extra... what really made our experience 5 stars was our server, Heather. So friendly and helpful. Wasn’t afraid to make the experience more personable by engaging in conversation with us.
We had a great dinner with friends. Food (fish & chips for me) was terrific - beer selection was awesome - and service was very good. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we'll be back again!
Dined at Cobblestones before a show at the Zorba Music Hall in Lowell. Perfect dinner spot for before a show. Would highly recommend!
This was a great restaurant to enjoy dinner before a performance at the nearby Tsongas Center. We will eat here again before another show!
Wonderful place for dinner. Perfect location prior to a concert at the school.
The food was very good and the service was as well. The one odd thing was the inarticulate and actually unfriendly hostess. She acted uninterested in us as customers, somewhat dismissive and definitely unfriendly. We were dressed quite appropriately (out for dinner and a play) and I cannot think of any reason that anything we said or did would explain how we were treated. Maybe someone died in the hostess’s family moments before we arrived or her boyfriend dumped her or she had just learned that she had cancer or she did not get the part in the play she auditioned for, but how we were greeted was markedly different from all of our last 50 times out for dinner.
Great Service. Waiter was very careful to explain that the menu did not match food available. Many substitutes.
Chicken Marsala was disappointing. Chicken was a thick piece that appeared fried!
Parking is poor at best! My husband had to park two blocks away!
We come to Cobblestones during Hockey season as we have River Hawk season tix. We were disappointed with the food quality this visit. Calamari was over cooked fried beyond crispy. All the calamari was in one over fried stuck together clump. Two of us had burgers that were over cooked, and my bun seemed stale.
First time there. It was awesome service and great food. Parking can be a bit tricky, but everything else makes up for it.
This restaurant has so much potential! It is in a nursing absolutely beautiful building, and the menu looks good on paper. The clam chowder was delicious, and the steak tips were flavorful but tough. The burger was nothing extraordinary, but not bad. Service was very good, but overall, I was left wanting something more (particularly for the price!).
Was not impressed.
Wife and I had the Prim Rib. We love ordering this at other restaurants and this was one of the best we've had. The staff was great. We'll definitely will be back.
Enjoyed the meal and experience. Atmosphere and wait staff were wonderful. Building is beautiful! Our meal took a long time and we arrived before the dinner rush. Disappointed to find out $45 bottle of wine was priced on the shelf in local liquor store at $14.😔
I highly recommend this restaurant! The best meals we've all had in a long time at, especially the Chicken Marsala! We all will be back!
