Lunch at their Seaside Room was lovely, as usual. Beautiful ocean view and quiet! A great place to catch up with a friend.
Great atmosphere; real nice setting. Was not busy when we went but took awhile to get our food. Brought my wife there for her Birthday dinner. Ate outside on the patio and was awsome to eat out by the beach. The food was very expensive which we don’t mind as this was a special occasion and something we expected. However the food was not great and we were very disappointed. We had two appetizers which were not bad but definitely not worth the price. The cocktails were underwhelming as well. We both ordered the NY strip steak which came with fries but we were not offered any sides which we overlooked at the time we ordered and didn’t notice until our food came out. We paid $50 each for a steak that I’m not sure was even aged beef as it was not advertised on the menu but at that price point feel it should have been. Our server did give us a complementary chocolate cake since it was my wife’s birthday which was very nice. We both loved the beautiful setting but would not return nor recommend this place.
To be honest, we like Cobalt for the beautiful decor, setting of the Vero Beach Hotel and view of the ocean. However, the menu leaves a lot to be desired. Selections are not plentiful...and that can be okay, if what you have on the menu is outstanding. Four of us dined with Cobalt on a Saturday evening in March. One couple is local, one couple on vacation in Vero Beach. After selecting from a smallish menu, all of us were underwhelmed with our choices, especially for the price charged. The portion sizes were paltry, flavors underwhelming and in one case, unacceptable and sent back after one bite. Might I add, we are not "cheap eats" diners. All of us routinely eat at fine dining establishments and are not afraid to pay high prices. Cobalt has many neighbors with fine dining options all within a block or two. Prices at the others are similar or more, but the food amount, quantity and quality at Cobalt cannot match up. Perhaps being a hotel restaurant, makes Cobalt management think they have a captive audience, but return locals or return vacationers to the area, will stop returning. Also, when a reservation is made, only to arrive and find that people with no reservations have taken all the outside patio seating, it doesn't encourage people to try again. Although a beautiful location, I'm not sure we'll ever try Cobalt again when returning to Vero Beach.
Took forever to get acknowledged by our waiter.
We were warmly greeted and seated by staff. Our table for two was available earlier than our reservation. The seating was comfortable and roomy. Our server was pleasant, very knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Appetizers, salads and main courses were all well portioned and nicely presented. The courses were well spaces, never leaving us feeling rushed. The entrees were accurately described on the menu, nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. Awesome ocean view, pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and great food. We highly recommend it and we will be back!
Beautiful venue by the sea. Attentive service and excellent food. Definitely get an outside table to enjoy the ambience & view.
Yesterday was our first visit to Cobalt for Sunday brunch with friends from out of town. The food and service were excellent. We appreciated the delicious truffle fries. The setting is spectacular. We will definitely be back.
Stunning view on the terrace ,wonderful ambiance. Food and service was subpar,Diner quality. Very disappointed, overpriced. I do not recommend for dinner, drinks would be fine.
This is our fourth winter season in Vero Beach and we were exploring waterfront ambiance/good food to entertain guests from home. Cobalt looked good and we had heard good things about the food. The outdoor deck looked amazing. It was blowing a gale that night so outdoor dining was out. Indoors is urban bar mundane. From there things went down hill rapidly. Took 15 mins to get server and water. another 20 mins to get drink orders which then another 15 to serve. No bread at table with drinks. Finally took order. Salads came out WITH entrees. Food was very good but we were so mad by then it didn’t matter. When we arrived there was a corporate outing going on in private room we could see through glass doors. Clearly the restaurant was under staffed for the evening. We will not be back as there are other wonderful places to eat/entertain in Vero. Disappointing evening.
I love the view and the staff is always so friendly and warm. The dessert menu is terrific and the cocktails are delicious. The chef does an excellent job on presentation and it's always so yummy. We have dined there numerous times and it happens to be our favorite spot in Vero and definitely worth a drive for a lovely dining or bar experience.
We can't wait to book a room since it's a pet friendly hotel. Our dog would simply love it, as, much, as we do. Once again, I would recommend the outside seating for the best view as long as the weather cooperates!!
We got the last table outside. Every time we bring guests they are thrilled with our choice. Nothing beats dining by the ocean!0
We had a very good lunch. Service was good and the food excellent. We would have liked our unsweet tea to be a little stronger as it was very watered down.
Staff was friendly and food was well prepared. Service was a bit choppy with having to ask for a place setting that was missing when we were seated. Plunked our bottle of white wine on the table with no effort to keep it chilled or avoid the messy water ring it created.
Bar waitress was very evil. Restaurant waitress was wonderful. Food was just average. Location is superb!
We choose Cobalt when we have out of town guests and want them to experience the best of Vero Beach.
The food was delicious and the presentation impressive. Though, the portions were small. The service and atmosphere was exceptional. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again soon.
Food was okay but server brought us wrong wine and never told us about specials. Feel like it is over priced for quality of food.
you can't beat the view and the food and service are excellent too. Our favorite lunch spot. don't tell anyone else.
Excellent food on the ocean with some nice fire pits
We sat outside on the lively patio , but they were understaffed and the service was slow and all four of the entrees were cold
Lovely and beautiful, classy place
What a great lunch experience! I had the Shrimp and Grits which was the best it could be. My wife had the Chicken Cobb salad which was fantastic (and she is fussy). The truffle fries are a must. Service impeccable. Sit outside if it is a nice day! This restaurant is a must if you visit Vero Beach.
The food and it's presentation was excellent! The wait staff very inattentive, never came back to the table after we ordered, we poured our own wine all night, when a course was ready a bus boy came by and literally "dropped" the plates off. Had to ask for bread and needed to chase down a waiter for water fill ups. We have had lunch outside and had great food and service, but was greatly disappointed to see such a wonderful meal spoiled by grade C minus service.
My husband and I have celebrated Valentine’s Day at the Cobalt Restaurant for the past five years. We enjoy our time there every year, however, this year was the best. After being seated and ordering our champagne, we were served a complimentary large order of Truffle fries because we had made a web reservation.
Our salads were delicious and the dessert sublime. Our waitress was very attentive, and the manager checked on us several times. We look forward to our next visit.
Great place. View is outstanding. Food and staff were both very good. Enjoyed our Valentine's dinner there very much. We will definitely return.
Food was nothing special for the price. Taste was rather blah! Service was excellent.
We had an overall great experience. Gerry is a very good server. He was very attentive . My husband and I had the exact same dishes, beef carpaccio for an appetizer. This flavorful dish melted in your. Mouth. It was made with excellent quality beef, olive oil arugula and Parmesan cheese. Definitely a yummy treat . For our entree we each had the new to the menu , bouillabaisse. Delicious. The broth was richly decadent with a nice amount of lobster and shrimp. It also had some clams but 4 littlenecks is alittle skimpy portion. We haven t been here in awhile but this meal has rekindled our love of this restaurant . Oh , by the way the best ambience and oceanview
My husband, my son and I went out for an early Valentine's dinner. The food was delicious. I had the chicken puree potatoes and they had the steak which I tried. It was perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We went there to celebrate a birthday. Good service and tasty food. OK wine list but pricey. Right on the ocean so wonderful setting.
Excellent food, beautiful ambiance, great service, pricey but worth it every time.
They made my niece’s brunch celebration very special.
I came in for lunch with my son. My server, Richard, suggested items for my 1 year old. Knowledgeable and anticipated my needs. Coffee was never empty! Would definitely recommend.
Its always a pleasure going to Cobalt. The food is good and the wait staff is excellent.
Also, the view is beautiful.
Lobster bisque was amazing. Very good wine, and service was very good.
We made a reservation for my father-in-laws 80th birthday. Arrived a little early so we went into the bar for a cocktail. Our waitress Kelly was friendly & efficient. Had requested a nice ocean view table & was glad to see that our table was in a lovely spot. Fast forward to our meals. My wife & father-in law both ordered the sirloin for $48.00. His was to be well, my wife was to be medium well. Three of the meals came out together only to find that the steaks were way undercooked. My fish came out & we told the waiter about the steaks. Seven to ten minutes later the steaks were re-served. Meanwhile my fish had turned stone cold as I politely waited for my guests meals to arrive before I started eating. A gentleman, who appeared to be the manager, came over and fussed about the table filling waters etc. After dinner they sent over three desserts for the four of us? No choice, just arrived. Needless to say my wife & I were embarrassed over the poor presentation and expected perfection at $50.00 a steak! :-( Certainly will not be returning!
Beautiful dining room overlooking ocean and fire pit. Service was very attentive. Food was good but my fish was a little over cooked and my wife’s dish had a little too much salt other wise it would get 4 stars easy. We would go back again.
The anniversary piece of cake was a nice touch. The soup and the main course were barely luke warm. The noise level in the room we were in was loud to the point of adding to the distress of the dining experience. The men's room had no means of drying your hands. Overall a lousy anniversary dinner and I would not recommend your restaurant for any dining!
The staff at Cobalt are exceptional! Very friendly and professional. Every aspect of our dinner was great. It seemed that everyone came by and welcomed us back. This one of our very favorite restaurants. Our server did an excellent job and was very attentive. Our dinners were so delicious. Starting with the bacon wrapped dates we both loved our meals.
Great place for lunch in Vero Beach. In the lovely Vero Beach Resort and Spa. What a view! Delicious fish tacos, varied menu, ask for a table by the window and look out to the Atlantic Ocean.
