Cobalt Restaurant and Lounge - Vero Beach Hotel and Spa Ratings and Reviews
What a great lunch experience! I had the Shrimp and Grits which was the best it could be. My wife had the Chicken Cobb salad which was fantastic (and she is fussy). The truffle fries are a must. Service impeccable. Sit outside if it is a nice day! This restaurant is a must if you visit Vero Beach.
The food and it's presentation was excellent! The wait staff very inattentive, never came back to the table after we ordered, we poured our own wine all night, when a course was ready a bus boy came by and literally "dropped" the plates off. Had to ask for bread and needed to chase down a waiter for water fill ups. We have had lunch outside and had great food and service, but was greatly disappointed to see such a wonderful meal spoiled by grade C minus service.
My husband and I have celebrated Valentine’s Day at the Cobalt Restaurant for the past five years. We enjoy our time there every year, however, this year was the best. After being seated and ordering our champagne, we were served a complimentary large order of Truffle fries because we had made a web reservation.
Our salads were delicious and the dessert sublime. Our waitress was very attentive, and the manager checked on us several times. We look forward to our next visit.
We had an overall great experience. Gerry is a very good server. He was very attentive . My husband and I had the exact same dishes, beef carpaccio for an appetizer. This flavorful dish melted in your. Mouth. It was made with excellent quality beef, olive oil arugula and Parmesan cheese. Definitely a yummy treat . For our entree we each had the new to the menu , bouillabaisse. Delicious. The broth was richly decadent with a nice amount of lobster and shrimp. It also had some clams but 4 littlenecks is alittle skimpy portion. We haven t been here in awhile but this meal has rekindled our love of this restaurant . Oh , by the way the best ambience and oceanview
We made a reservation for my father-in-laws 80th birthday. Arrived a little early so we went into the bar for a cocktail. Our waitress Kelly was friendly & efficient. Had requested a nice ocean view table & was glad to see that our table was in a lovely spot. Fast forward to our meals. My wife & father-in law both ordered the sirloin for $48.00. His was to be well, my wife was to be medium well. Three of the meals came out together only to find that the steaks were way undercooked. My fish came out & we told the waiter about the steaks. Seven to ten minutes later the steaks were re-served. Meanwhile my fish had turned stone cold as I politely waited for my guests meals to arrive before I started eating. A gentleman, who appeared to be the manager, came over and fussed about the table filling waters etc. After dinner they sent over three desserts for the four of us? No choice, just arrived. Needless to say my wife & I were embarrassed over the poor presentation and expected perfection at $50.00 a steak! :-( Certainly will not be returning!
The anniversary piece of cake was a nice touch. The soup and the main course were barely luke warm. The noise level in the room we were in was loud to the point of adding to the distress of the dining experience. The men's room had no means of drying your hands. Overall a lousy anniversary dinner and I would not recommend your restaurant for any dining!
The staff at Cobalt are exceptional! Very friendly and professional. Every aspect of our dinner was great. It seemed that everyone came by and welcomed us back. This one of our very favorite restaurants. Our server did an excellent job and was very attentive. Our dinners were so delicious. Starting with the bacon wrapped dates we both loved our meals.
We have eaten at Cobalt many times before and is always a requested stop when our daughters visit from NYC and Boston. We love the food, ambience and the view.
This most recent visit was to celebrate a birthday, which was handled beautifully by both the hostess and our wonderful server. Kudos to both for their professionalism!
Dining room was cold and music was not conducive to a night of romance. Calamari over cooked and tough. The pork chop special was tough and dry. Portions scant and presentation unimpressive for the price. Server unattentive. Had to pour our own wine. Chef must be new. This is not the same place we have kept on our favorite list for special occasions. We won't be back.
Great atmosphere but average food and limited wine menu. Our server Nichole was very accommodating, answered all our questions and gave us great service. It’s was good to see a young adult that is able to smile and converse with her guests wheather young and old as I watched her do. Thanks Nichole
We came here with our daughter and 7 yr old grandchild for a New Year's Day celebration- the great moments - for the table a tuna tartare flatbread - delicious - entrees - my husband and I had the grilled mahi sandwich - served perfectly cooked and hot temperature with salad sides - Perfect - our daughter had the crispy shrimp wrap - she said was very tasty - and our gdaughter 's waffle was perfection - bad moments - SERVICE - we placed drink orders including 2 bloody marys (prepared by the bar which I noticed was slow) - after over 15 minutes wait I spoke with the hostess - ridiculous to have to do this - the PROBLEM was with the server - I was told she was serving people outside on patio and in diningroom - NO EXCUSES - this is a 4 star restaurant - we asked her for water, more iced tea took forever - final blow another cup of coffee - never got it - 3 desserts to share at table - fun and good - Management needs to get Service up and running -couple next to us within 3 minutes received coffee and mimosas - Food Great Service depending on your server - can be an Ulcer in the making Who needs that!
Cobalt has a beautiful view of the blue-green waters along Vero Beach. We came to Cobalt for Sunday brunch. I had the Mahi-Mahi sandwich with truffle fries. The Mahi was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife had the Cobalt burger sans the blue cheese. Her sandwich was also prepared well and cooked to her preference. The truffle fries were delicious.
We will have to place Cobalt on our places to try for dinner. I recommend Cobalt for lunch/brunch.
We have been going to Cobalt for years during the holiday season. Normally, we have found the food and service (Sasha) to be excellent. This visit, however, it took quite a long time for drinks each time we ordered and the lamb was over cooked. Perhaps the server had too many tables but it affected the quality of the overall experience.
