Party of four... Great drinks, great food, and great service... A little pricy, but that was expected...
Lovely restaurant. Beautiful dining room and even better outside patio on the ocean. Food was good but we all thought expensive for what it was. Good service and cocktails
The food was excellent. Our waiter was wonderful.
The view is beautiful. The food is just ok. Very pricy for the quality and quantity of the food. We have eaten here many times and I always think its going to be better next time. Not!! The steaks ( $42) didn’t have much flavor and they pour some kind of brown gravy over it. The fish was very dry. The sides that come on the plate are 2 bites each. We were told the corkage fee for a bottle of wine was $25 but noticed later we were charged $35. It was pretty busy as it is season and there is only a few places to eat Oceanside in Vero. Come summertime Cobalt, your gonna have to improve or it will be a long summer with just us locals.
Wonderful atmosphere but the drinks are very pricey, they do not have a house wine alternative that is reasonable by the glass. Our wines were $15.00 for a small glass ea. Also they did not allow happy hour between 4:30 and 5:30 at any inside table, only on the patio tables. Silly because the restaurant was almost empty but the patio full.
Service was nonexistent. Food was good but overpriced. Had a reservation, which was honored...but waited 30 minutes for a waiter. Asked for a glass of water three times and it never came. Beautiful outdoor setting. Won’t return...too bad as the setting was among the best Vero has to offer.
Nice place but our friend ordered a pins colada and the waiter said it was too busy to get one.He didn't know how to do a mobile gift card when it was time to pay.I had to go inside with him to do it.We asked if we could move inside because it was too chilly and he said I don't know you will have to ask the person that seated us.It was a 6 pm reservation on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all.Food was good but for a 38 dollar entree you really should get a dinner salad included.
Cobalt was once again a very nice place to have an evening meal, and the service was excellent. The Swordfish has always been a favorite of mine, and the restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere. A great place to relax and watch the waves roll onto the beach at night with that special someone.
Our meal was fantastic and the setting is wonderful. When we had a slight issue with our dessert, the manager immediately resolved the problem, came back several times to check on us, and also took the item off our bill without us asking. Everyone was very friendly and attentive and I would go back in a heartbeat.
Cobalt was once again delightful. Great view. Nice service. Delicious food.
Met friends for lunch - the restaurant was beautiful as was the view. We sat outside and toward the end it started to rain and they accommodated our dessert inside without any issue at all. All the staff from the parking attendant at the hotel to the restaurant staff was friendly & helpful. Lunch menu had a nice variety and the food was very good. Would love to return for a dinner sometime.
Great. Would recommend it
First, the food was delicious and well made. But the dining room was not so pleasant. Very dark, wood tables are sort of shabby, no place mats or table clothes, water stains on silverware, a kind of ponderous decor, and noisy. Plus the chairs, which are club chairs with saggy leather seats, were very low compared to table tops. When we finally said something to our server, he brought over two big pillows to sit on, which helped a bit. He admitted the chairs were old and saggy. Server was a nice, not real smooth, but did okay, and was trying hard. Sorry to say, other restaurants similarly priced were more pleasant experiences. Can’t imagine having to eat in that dining room every meal if staying there.
This was our first visit for brunch and we thought it was really excellent. We also had a wonderful young lady as our server (and sadly, I've forgotten her name). The kitchen did burn one diner's order and so everyone else was almost finished by the time she got her meal. I did think they should have offered her SOMETHING to eat while the rest of us chowed down on a tasty brunch. (note: we did offer to share our meals) but otherwise it was a very fine outing.
We brought a houseguest with us for brunch at the bar on St. Patrick’s Day and our favorite bartender Alexis was on duty that day. As always she was a delight and took excellent care of us. We had a lovely afternoon and will absolutely return to see her again!
We celebrated our anniversary. A great place to dine! Wonderful views and atmosphere! The food was excellent.
Excellent service, solid vegetarian appetizers, and nice view of the ocean from the second floor dining room. Reservation does not guarantee a table outdoors. We had a reservation (with a request to dine outside) but were told it would be an additional 45 min wait. Zucchini rollatini, baby kale salad and garlic mashed were delicious! Tamale and mixed green salad were also good. Probably one of the best date night options with a water view in Vero Beach. It’s attached to the Kimpton Hotel with valet parking.
The outside venue is special. Inside not so much. Our food was excellent, but pricey. Service was fine but impersonal.
Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Restaurant. Loved the atmosphere but unfortunately the food was just ok. I hate to say I wouldn't recommend, I'm just not sure I'd go back.
We were happy to see that Alexis was behind the bar even though we had lunch on the terrace. It was nice to see her. The only thing that prevented this from being a full 5-star review was that no matter how clearly my husband asked for a thick slice of onion to go with his burger, it still came out with a a few razor thin rings. When he asked again for a THICK SLICE of onion, a few more razor thin rings came out. We have decided that the only way to get a good onion slice is to bring it in a plastic bag from home next time! Our server was mortified that the kitchen didn’t do as she had asked...twice! It was not her fault and she was delightful. My Cobb salad was excellent and our friend’s lobster roll was also excellent.
Fabulous lunch overlooking the ocean
Always a delightful experience. Our guests were delighted w the fresh foodie choices and pleasant server.
An excellent experience, our request for outdoor seating and 2 high chairs were ready when we arrived , quick, great service , good food and lovely setting !
Recommend highly !
Service was average, took awhile for someone to acknowledge us after we were sat at our table. Server was a little too casual for me. I tried to modify my reservation 2 hours prior to sitting and the hostess said she did not have time to check the messages yet...really. As in the past, zero management presence. Food was okay but nothing special. Received food I did not asked for and was charged. The server never gave me a chance to asked about the bill when it slipped it on the table and ran away both times.
At New Year's we waited 50 minutes for iunch and then the chicken "had a problem" so the caeser
salad had no chicken.
Two weeks ago at lunch, we waited 40 minutes and then the food order was someone's elses so we had
to take a hamburger to go.
Yesterday, I had a New York Art Dealer for lunch and I had to clean the chair of cheese crumbs before
I was looking for a place serving Sunday Brunch that offered valet parking reservations. Cobalt restaurant was recommended and I'm glad I took the advice. Would definitely go back. Beautiful location as well.
Food and service was excellent! Specials were outstanding
I always have a wonderful experience at Cobalt. We sat on the ocenside patio and it was beautiful! The noise level was not to loud and was mainly the ocean surf on the beach which made the experience that much more splendid. The tamale app was awesome and the Pompano entree was very tasty. I have been coming to Cobalt for over 5 years and it only gets better. Our server Ashley was the best! Thank you for an incredible evening.
I had a friend visiting, and we wanted a special destination along the coast to have lunch. The food, the wine, the vista, our server made it a perfect afternoon! Thank you in particular to our wonderful waitress for her help photographing us all with the ocean in the background! All was simply perfect!
Fantastic view, good food!
Average food. Service was pleasant but subpar. Didn’t clear dishes from appetizer before bring dinner, said she would bring bread 3 times etc. wouldn’t rush back
We always love the evening ambience of Cobalt’s oceanside terrace with its gas torches and blazing fire pits. Weather permitting, we also prefer to drink and dine on the terrace because it is much, much quieter and more comfortable than the indoor dining room, which they keep quite cool. However, this night something was “off” with both the kitchen and staff. From placement of our dinner order, some 40 minutes passed before our salad and soup arrived for the first course. Our entrees arrived later. They were good, but not special in terms of presentation or quality. Attention from the wait staff was sporadic. Overall, we’ve had better experiences when dining there previously.
I would like to rate my experience higher but it really fell below expectations this time. Service was very slow, the pompano was over cooked to the point of leather and the mashed potatoes were the consistency of a sauce. The dark chocolate mousse was as thick as wax and had no flavor at all. However, my companions enjoyed their salmon and grouper.
Always a great meal and atmosphere. I highly recommend.
Perfect beach setting. Exquisite food. Slow service.
This is such a beautiful and delicious place to dine. No better view in Vero Beach. A special place to go.
Hmm. The good: lovely spot, on the beach, solid menu, decent wine selection. The bad: service was subpar. Greeted fairly quickly by server, ordered our wines, and promptly waited at least 10 minutes on slow lunch day--over half the tables were empty and being waited on by at least three other servers. Wine finally came and we placed our order for two easy to make selections of oysters on the half shell and tuna tartare. We also asked for lemon. Twenty minutes later, we flagged down another server for the lemon, and another five minutes later a bus person brought us our food. The ice upon which the oysters sat was 2/3 melted, and the pita crisps for the tartare were chewy indicating these had been sitting for a time. We would have liked another glass of wine, but by the time our server came back, we were nearly finished with our meal. Took us a good 10 minutes to get check and pay, too. So, while we enjoyed the location and the food was actually freshly made, the service was notably poor. Would still recommend as long as your server was good.
We had a lovely meal at Cobalt. We were offered the chance to be seated outside and really enjoyed eating there. The food we had was excellent and the service was pleasant and efficient.
We were there for happy hour. The small plates were incredible, and the location on the patio overlooking the ocean could not have been better.
We had reservations for 11AM. Waited until after 11:30AM to be seated. Service slow and inattentive. Go there for the view!
