Our family “Love “ all the Cohen restaurants. When we have out of town guest we always take them. We are also having a Wedding Reception at one of the Cohen facilities.
Spectacular view of downtown skyline. Just a bit pricey.
Really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was very good. The service was great . The view and ambiance was wonderful. I highly recommend to try some of the cocktails offerings, IPA, liquor and margaritas were amazing . This was my second trip after a nice experience the first time. Definitely a go to place in San Diego.
The experience was everything I would expect from a Cohn restaurant. The food selection was outstanding. Different and exciting. A feast for the eyes as well as the body. Service was exceptional as always. Looking forward to taking more friends for the experience. Thank you
Lovely evening great food awesome views of San Diego’s skyline
This place is the best in all categories. I love this Resturant and highly recommend you go and take a guest they will love the view. I have never been disappointed. 5 stars
The location, ambience, cocktails, food and service were spot on
Scallops were cold and had a strong odor. Were not good at all. The Carne Asade was good. It had a very thorough rub on the meat with a tremendous amount of seasoning flavor was above average. Fundito was very good but very spicy. We love spice but between the Chorizo and jalapeño peppers it was spicer than the average person would probably like. We had been here in the past and loved it but were so disappointed this time. We hate to spend a lot of money for something that is average to below average food experience. The ambiance was amazing and makes up for a lot. For the money and experience we expect to be wowed or at least above average in quality and preparation.
Had our post-wedding dinner with my family and friends here and we had a good time. Good food, good service and most of all breathtaking view of SD. Love this restaurant!
Great food and overall experience! Celebrated my birthday with a friend and the food was excellent!
Coasterra was a very nice place! Some guest were rude I noticed though. Me and my friends are in our 20s and most of the crowd was older. I don’t know if it’s always like this or just the day we came?
We were celebrating our anniversary. The staff were so friendly and made us feel really special to be celebrating with them.
My wife and i went with our sin and his girlfriend on a Saturday night. The view of downtown San Diego is fantastic. The food was great. My wife and I had the 2-person fried bass which was very interesting, served with tortillas to make great fish tacos. For dessert, the sorbet trio was the favorite of the table.
Amazing evening ..... Debra Scott seating us, wonderful dinner and ambiance. Our waiter Jiovani (sp)
Was so attentive to our table
The evening was so enjoyable thank you to everyone 😊
This restaurant has the best view in all of SD...the food was perfect...ambiance...service...my girlfriend said this was her favorite restaurant ever. Go there and sit at a corner table facing the ocean. There is a panoramic view of the city.
Mini family reunion w/East Coast relatives
Great view. Wonderful service. Portions were small for a $30 carnitas plate. Salad and soup were nice.
I’ve been here many times and loved it! Last night the food was awful and the service was not great at all!!! I won’t be back
Brought grandkids on break from college to their first visit to SD. They were not impressed!
Simply outstanding. Beautiful views from inside and out, great food, and creative drinks. Arrive early before your reservation to get a premium table. And plan on valet parking. It's $9 but really no alternative.
This is a great place to bring out of town guests. The views are amazing. The service and food are great- the Coconut Margaritas are the best!
Fantastic experience. Thanks!
Unfortunately, while I love to bring friends & family here for the food & the fabulous view, I fear the service has really slipped! Our waitress would disappear for LONG periods. She was not very attentive at all. Not leaving a nice warm spot in my heart.
Beautiful locations, excellent service. Food a bit bland
It was an great place to take our daughter while she was visiting with us from Hawaii.
Fantastic setting. Food and service are good! Really like this place and go there often with business guests. Recommend for business or just a great dinner with a spectacular view!
The food here is just so marginal for the $$$. All they have going for them is the fabulous view.
If you are a foodie, don’t go here.
Coasterra is in an amazing location with an incredible view! Many times places with incredible views lack in service and food quality. The service was not terrible by any means but our server did disappear a few times and we had to get other workers attention. The food; The concept is fresh and very San Diego style but it could be better. We ordered the table side guac which was about $16. The guac really was enough for a person and a half and lacked a ton of flavor. The ceviche we ordered was fresh and the presentation was beautiful but the fish did not have enough time to marinate in the coconut milk, nor was there enough lime or salt. The veggie tamale had way too much masa and not enough filling. This is far too common when restaurants are serving Mexican cuisine, the tamales never have enough filling. This was our first time visiting and do plan on returning and trying different items on the menu, maybe the tacos!
Our guests from Canada enjoy thé food, service and view
We had an excellent evening
Great experience: fantastic views of nighttime San Diego, excellent food and very attentive service.
Great service as always! Wonderful service and delicious food!
Tableside guacamole was amazing! We sat on the patio overlooking the water and the San Diego skyline. It was a chilly night, but they have overhead heaters.
The seared scallops were perfectly cooked. The Oaxaca cheese fundito was also amazing. And, they cooked the carne asada to a perfect medium rare. Definitely going back next time we visit the area.
Really beautiful restaurant with decent food, but the service was absolutely horrible. Made a reservation in advance and was still there for over 2 hours. Had to ask other people where our server kept going and no one was nice about it. Pretty place for pictures but not worth it for any other reason!
The ambience and the service Are great but the food was just OK.
The noise level was excessive! So much so that we had to leave early and not get dessert
Awesome views and wonderful food and drinks! Great spot for those visiting SD
it was good for nice romantic dinner. will recommend it
The view is always amazing, Deb's coconut margarita is everything you hope margaritas will be, the service I was surprised wasn't as awesome as I anticipated since it was slow and we could have been wowed, but overall, I'd still recommend it to friends and family.
Amazing location and views. Beautiful restaurant and bar. From there things were fair. Service was as poor as I can remember a place having. What made it worse, they weren’t even busy.
The menu is lacking choices. The food we did order was fresh and tasty.
Maybe our taste in restaurants is simply not a match with Coasterra?
The view from this restaurant would easily keep this place in business. Even saying this, the food is always great, and the service is very attentive. A great spot for business lunch, or date night dinners. You cannot go wrong.
