Delicious food and amazing view! We loved the Guac-amigo's handmade guacamole at our table. I highly recommend the chile relleno. Also, nice wine list with lots of Mexican wines.
Came here for my birthday and it was fabulous as usual!
The food, setting and service was outstanding. We liked it so much we came back for brunch!
Very friendly staff with great service. The view is beautiful especially if you can get a table right next to the water.
Our second trip there and a must on any future visits to San Diego. The food and service are both top notch and the views can’t be beat.
Saw an ad for this restaurant online and decided to try it out with my boyfriend...so happy we did!! The views are so beautiful and romantic. We will definitely be returning soon!
This was a perfect dinner out with my parents. We got a great table right by the water and Coasterra has legit outdoor heaters, so we all stayed warm, which is amazing! My Mom and I get cold easily. Our server was delightful. We tried the vegetarian chile relleno, icelandic cod, and the salmon dish - all 3 were delicious. The chile relleno was spicy, so bear that in mind if you're sensitive, but the flavor was awesome. The panzanella salad that came with my cod was really fresh and a nice compliment to the perfectly cooked fish. I love dinners that have fresh veggies with them...not just a little splash of spinach, but something meaningful. We were happy campers!
Fabulous views, especially at sunset and lots of outdoor heaters to keep you toasty in January.
I enjoy Coasterra each time I am in San Diego. My customers are impressed with the view, the service and the creative food and beverages.
Beautiful view of the city skyline. Menu is varied and includes vegetarian dishes. Food is delicious. Our only complaint is that they change the menu periodically and our favorite dishes disappear! Also I wish we didn't have to pay $7 for valet.
Great brunch menu!
We came to San Diego for a weekend get away and reached out to a friend that lives there for a dining recommendation...... and this was his one and only recommendation and I now know why!! We had a table at the window over looking the skyline of lights, and loved the view!! Our waiter was excellent! Felt like we had made a friend while dining we had so much fun with him. The food was one of the best meals that we had ever experienced. We loved the sweet potato dish. The drinks and dessert were delicious. We will plan on coming back when we come for a weekend trip again.
Fabulous in every way. Our server, Chelsea, was one of the best servers we have ever had. Food was delicious, ambiance amazing. Glad we don't live far from Coasterra! Wonderful restaurant....
Amazing I’m Beyonce with a beautiful view of the San Diego skyline. Highly recommend this location for the food, service, location and just simply having a great time!
Coasterra has a million dollar view of the bay and city. The food was magnificent. Oysters fresh, whole roasted bass was delicate and delicious, New York strip steak cooked to perfection and flavorful. Table side guacamole for $15 wasn’t worth it. Uses only 2 avocados and heavy on onion, tomato and cilantro. Butter cake with coconut ice cream was heavy, but good. Best to share desserts after a big meal. Service was a bit slow. Waitress could have been a little more personable. She checked on us a second after our entrees hit the table to see: “How is everything tasting.” We had 2 guests in wheelchairs and were seated at an ample table. All in all, it was a pleasurable evening. Good for special occasions - it is pricey.
We love coming to Coasterra as there is no place better to look out over the harbor. On this quiet afternoon, we sat right next to the water. It was beautiful. Service was great, and we appreciated that the kitchen could make a few adaptations to our salads to make them perfect for us. The only thing to mention is that this is the second time I've ordered a cappuccino and had it arrive warm, not hot. (perhaps the solution is to ask for it to be served quite hot). We had a relaxed meal in a beautiful spot with good food and great service. Thanks Coasterra!
Wow! The view of San Diego Harbor is only paled by the amazing food and service. The servings are large so my daughter and I shared the ahi tuna tostada which is clearly a signature dish... not to be missed! We shared the Macho Salad, very tasty, a bit over dressed but that may just be my taste, not yours. Lastly we ordered the Icelandic Cod dish which had a panzanella side dish and together was absolutely delicious!! Best cod I've ever had.
Yes, it's a nice restaurant with patio seating overlooking the harbor, but everything about Coasterra was first class!!! Our server Daniel was extremely friendly and helpful as we are new to San Diego. He suggested several places we can explore for our one full day here! Plus he gave us a dessert sampler as seen in the photo!
Celebrated a Birthday at Coasterra. Beautiful views, great service, and good food.
Been to this and other Cohn restaurants numerous times and this was the only time I've left slightly disappointed. Food was great but the service left something to be desired. We constantly had to flag down the waitress to get drink refills and to top it off the heaters in our section of the balcony turned off. When I brought this up to the waitress she looked up and pointed at heater and told me the "power button" was on, despite no heat being felt. We had treated my husbands coworkers to dinner and would have definitely stayed longer but given that it was 50 degrees out with no heaters (and no more drinks) we had to wrap up early. Such a shame too as the view that night was spectacular.
Our waitress was amazing! Super friendly and helpful with the drink and food menus. Very prompt service too.
New Year’s Eve dinner, food was delicious and our server was very attentive. Only negative was the restroom line was ridiculous due to other 2 events going on.
Bartender was incredibly friendly. Wait staff were wonderful. Food was served quickly, presented attractively and was delicious.
Atmosphere was COLD & DREARY (not because the weather was rainy-seeing the rain was more pleasant than being inside)!!! personnel was like DEAD!!! very UNFRIENDLY!!! We had a very SAD/NUTTY/COLD waitress!!!! I am very SORRY that we've spent all that money - for what???? for a very oily, greasy plate of yuck!!! some parts of the lunch were missing!!! We couldn't even get the attention of any waiter/waitress!!! They were just walking around like they were lost/confused and I think that they just didn't give f---!!! We had a very UNPLASANT experience!!!! We had a much better experience at 333 by the Oceanside pier before!!! My husband & I were not very happy with this experience!!!! We wish we never went there especially on the last day of 2018 and spend $107.00 on yuck!!!!!!!
Food was very good! Great cocktails! Great desserts! Had the best waitress! Will be back for that view as well!
Quite frankly we were a bit disappointed. Creativity sometimes misses the 'mark'. Suggest adding some traditional Mexican dishes, with perhaps a flare of various sauces, or toppings, or ???. Oysters were very good!
$100 lunch with the kids is a bit pricey but the food and view is a treat.
The Sunday brunch was outstanding, the Avocado Toast is excellent, great flavor. Also the coconut shrimp lettuce wrap tacos were tasty and healthy.
The service was excellent, as well as the hostess. The ambiance was wonderful. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. We had 5 people and each meal was below Coasterra standards. We had 5 for lunch with the coconut shrimp lettuce wrap tacos, carnitas chiliqutos and Malta’s carnitas. Everything was bad! No flavor, soggy chips and bad lettuce wrap assembly. Very disappointed!! We’ve been coming to Coasterra since it opened and this was not good!!
Excellent food and great service. Very happy!
First outing in San diego
Aldo our server wad the BEST! VERY RESPECTFUL and helpful. Very knowledgeable on all food. Made selection easy. I never had to ask for anything, always drink was full. Manager Ida was very hrlpful and kind. Never been here and WILL RETURN SOON and RECOMMEND to FRIENDS.
Renee was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food is exquisite. Everything that our group of 8 ordered was absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable, the views are always fantastic and made better by the holiday lights, and the drinks are creative and taste great. This is, hands down, our favorite restaurant in San Diego.
Great harborside setting, rather bland food
View was beautiful! Service was very slow but they were all nice. Greatly disappointed in the food. Nachos were soggy and chips that came with torts was way too salty. Torta, guacamole and the coffee was good though.
Family reunion in the patio 1 view was outstanding - everyone went all-out with orders - lobster - pork shank - steak and lobster - all were good. Wonderful evening
Plastic sheet blocking our requested water side table spoiled the night, especially after the sun went down. Not sure that we'll return.
Customer service was the tops your employees made us feel very comfortable and we're very accommodating, the fish and chips were excellent but I feel like you should have an option with corn tortillas Which would make it more of a fish taco.
I think that your menu is very limited
Overall you get five stars from me and we will return to taste other menu items
