   Best seafood in Va Beach. Ask to be seated in main room or bar, not the back (East) room. Waitstaff take care of everything and are honest about what's best today.

   I made reservations for my daughters graduation for 4 at a high top in the bar. We arrived 5 mins early only to be told by hostess that the owner/manager wanted to take our table for his/her special event. Hostess said "sorry" I can seat you in the back, or if you wait for 20 mins and I can seat you in the main dining area. UGH... Oh and this was not the first time this happened. Weeks ago, same thing. They seated someone at our table. Our choice was to wait ( they had not even started eating) or to sit at the bar. So that was what we did. I know mistakes happen. But when it happened again!!! Why even make reservations? Why was the manager doing this to a customer? Why was I not notified? What kind of a manager would do that? We eat here quite often because the food is great as well as the atmosphere. We were disappointed and do not think we go back. They served us duck sauce on the halibut. Again, a mistake. Ok. Then last night, we had just been served our salad and here comes our food. We could not eat the salad. We ordered the soft shell crabs, and come to find out, you could have ordered 1 or 2 crabs. We were not given that choice. Something has definitely changed here. Like I said, not sure that we will return.

   We had to wait for our table even with a prior reservation but is was all worth it. The food and drinks were amazing as always. The service was great as well. Coastal Grill never disappoints.

   Our family of 6 had a terrific reunion seated at a high top table between CG’s large front window and friendly bar. Food and service were excellent! Our food choices included 2 dozen 🦪oysters, outstanding garden salads, pasta w shrimp, delicious crispy lamb chops w fresh mint & cilantro, and crab cakes. Everyone loved their meals!

   Coastal is our FAVORITE Restaurant in VB. Great food, ambience & service. That being said, it is disappointing that their food and wine prices cpntinue to rise. Inflation hasn't gone away (back to Trump levels), but is has eased considerably. $14 for a glass of wine a bit excessive.

   Always amazing. Took someone who never had a soft shell crab, what a treat to have their first a Costal Grill. They were amazed. Great menu and loads of specials with first class service. Can't go wrong.

    this was our first time. The food was excellent. We had two appetizers they could’ve actually been the main course. Everything was well seasoned.  The portions were large. We had to take home doggy bags we will return.

    Celebrated another anniversary at CG, 27th in a row. Entrees and service were great, wine suggested by server was excellent. Had issue with appetizer, but Coastal promised to rectify on next visit. Kudos to them.

    The dinner and service was amazing! I got the Deviled crab cake and they were delicious, especially with the in house made tarter sauce. My boyfriend got the pepper seared tuna and loved it !

    Great restaurant with amazing food! Mussels, shrimp, soft shell crab, trout, duck, shrimp pasta and steak and fries for our children..our family tried it all and loved everything! Everyone was happy and satisfied! And they even gave roses for the mothers! Thank you for a wonderful Mother's Day dinner! Superb restaurant!!

    Dinner and ambiance great - major down fall was the waiter’s attitude. We were able to get a last minute table and we were sat - completely rude from the beginning to the end… if this tells you anything instead of presenting the check to my uncle he threw it on the table and walked away. All in all food was great. We were dining there after a family members funeral, we celebrated her life and didn’t let the rude waiter ruin our night - to the manager I would speak with the waiter about his manners.

    The fish in all of our dishes was nicely cooked, however, I found it strange acorn squash was the vegetable side for all entrees when we are well in to spring. There were also olives in all our dishes, which wasn’t listed in the menu and many people find olives off putting. So that was another odd choice. Dishes just seemed a little disjointed.

    Coastal did not disappoint. We brought a friend from out of town and she loved the soft shells. They were cooked to perfection. The tomatoes on the Caprese salad were spectacular. A shout out to our waitperson Montana who provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. The hostess was extremely pleasant as well. We were quite pleased that all seemed to be running smoothly.

    I have always loved Coastal Grill. It is not too big and not too small. It has a nice bar and it has two rooms. One quieter than the other. The Bronzino, Mussels, oysters, NY Strip., and clams are all great!
