In addition to its in-house service, Coast Seafood and Raw Bar provides catering for private events. This restaurant is open all through the week.
A warm and inviting place to dine. When the weather is nice, you can sit out on the front patio and dine as well.
The food was unremarkable at best. I hear that the only time it's worth being there is on oyster night. If you want really inexpensive oysters.
The service was awful, and we were one of 5 tables at 8:00 on a Sunday night. Our server, Brittany was awful. As if the disappointing food wasn't enough. The lobster mashed potatoes could have come out of a box. Or was from a batch they made last week.
Save your money.
The best part of the experience was the valet. He was very friendly. Opened my wife's door first. Nice. I tipped him more than a tipped the waitress. And I will leave 20% for mediocre service. I had a hard time leaving 10%.
Thanks Coast. Not really
Great restaurant but to bad they closed.
This house turned restaurant offers a great selection of seafood. I had the snapper and it was tremendous.
The food was reasonably priced, as a dinner for two, including drinks and an appetizer came in around $75.
I'd definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for a quiet dinner (indoors or outdoors) at a great place.
Oh, and the free valet parking was the cherry on top.
We had a good dinner and the bread pudding for desert was awesome. The server we had was very good.
The food and the staff were excellent! I will be back soon!
This place has great potential, but something went wrong. Service was not fast or slow, just weird. Our server was obviously distracted. Disappeared for 20+ minutes at a time. Odd behavior generally.
Great atmosphere especially on the patio. Great food and service as well as tasty drinks. My only wish is that the bar stool seats for the tables on the patio had backs. Definitely going back soon.
We had a waiter by the name of Michael on a Saturday night and he was absolutely AWFUL. He was flippant, rude, not knowledgable and just rushed us through our dinner. I've frequented Coast on several separate occasions and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. But last night was disappointing. The food is always great and super fresh.
The crab legs were over cooked and the food wasn't that great.
Nothing stood out. Waiter wasn't very good and quality seems to have slipped. Not like it was on previous visits
We were in Buckhead to attend a college football game that our beloved Louisville Cardinals were playing in. We arrived in Buckhead at 4:30 after 7.5 hours in a car. On our way to hotel, we passed this restaurant and immediately determined from it's appearance that we would have dinner there. It did not disappoint. Loved the outdoor area; loved our waiter (even if he was a fan of Auburn who beat our Cardinals in the football game); loved the food. We'll be back if we are ever in Buckhead again.
If I have known Wednesday was $6 for 12 oysters I would have gone sooner. They were really good. I was with women so we got the oysters they split a seafood platter and a Low Country boil. The fried Shrimp were really good. Probably more French fries than we wanted but most of the other stuff was good. I am going back.
We made our reservations for Coast thinking it was connected to "Coast" in Charleston....not so! But we will definitely go back. Our waiter was charming and helpful; food was delicious; highly recommend shrimp & grits and mac & cheese with bacon and shrimp. Great outdoor seating. Great place to spend a Sunday evening!
We celebrated a birthday with an early dinner reservation. We ordered shrimp cocktail, muscles, monkfish, and salmon. In addition we enjoyed grilled asparagus, rice, and green beans. Each was cooked to perfection. We topped off our meal with key lime pie and an order of ice cream with chocolate and nuts. Service was outstanding.
Was a really great restaurant on our previous visits. But hit a bad night obviously. Service was poor, food was very mediocre and limited somewhat in choice as was available wine. Wont stop us trying again but disappointing.
Always a summer and outdoor favorite! Great service /food! Super service, too! Our waiter for great.
I love this restaurant! Great seafood in a casual and friendly environment! I eat here every time I'm in Atlanta. There are some delicious and unique menu items and specials, but the old favorites (seafood platters and cold seafood appetizers) are yummy and satisfying as well. If you love good seafood in a relaxed, casual environment , don't miss Coast Seafood and Raw Bar!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for good food, good selection of fresh seafood.
Fast and friendly service
My husband and I have started eating here within the past six months. The food is great and consistently so. The service inside is great. We've eaten there twice outside in the past two weeks and the service is lacking. We've had two different waiters. Drinks both nights arrived WAY after appetizers, which were not even delivered in a timely manner. Second drinks were similarly slow. I am not sure what the issue is but something has got to change. We might give it one more try outside but it is too bad to have this issue with such good food and location.
Nice atmosphere. Converted home to restaurant setting. Quality food and server was good. We will visit again.
Let me start by saying all prior visits have been delightful. However, this time service was awful. We were seated upstairs and given water. Then waited at least 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order even though the server came upstairs twice to assist another party. I had blackened grouper which was bland. Husband had the sole which he enjoyed. We both had collard greens which were nothing like we'd ever had before....not good. Will not return.
We love the porch and the food is always pretty good. I've had the shrimp and grits and enjoyed this dish. The hush puppies are a must.
Very good! Lousiana style offerings. Great oysters, she crab soup. Needs other salad offerings.
Never leave without a slice of the key lime pie!!!
Good selection of seafood and rawbar. Good craft beer selection.
The patio is casual and a good spot.
Our service was outstanding.
Wonderful cocktails and appetizer.
Friendly and helpful service.
Always a pleasure to subway Coast!
Had a great table outside, went with a couple with my wife and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and would return.
My husband and I have lived in Atlanta (Marietta) for several years, but never tried this place. However, after I was craving oysters - we looked up Coast. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices were for the food that we received in the heart of Buckhead. We truly enjoyed the food and experience of sitting outside on the patio with live music. We will definitely be back with friends.
Wonderful place. Great oyster deals on Wednesdays.
Setting was comforting and food was well prepared.
When I have to have fresh seafood and can't get to Sandestin, we go to Coast. Always fresh, great service and prices are good. The only thing to make it better would be to throw sand on the floor!
Went to Coast on a second date. Very friendly staff from the valet , hostess and waitress. Our server was awesome! They had $6 dozen raw oyster special and they were large and delicious. Shrimp and grits were perfect as was the grilled salmon. Only complaint is that it was very hot inside. A/c couldn't be felt and there are no ceiling fans. Next time I'm sitting on the patio!
My boyfriend and I took my friend out to dinner last Thursday night. We have never been to Coast before, but I guarantee it will not be our last. The atmosphere was fantastic, our server was phenomenal, and the food was absolutely superb!
I went to coast for my 15th wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. The back porch had a great vibe which was only enhanced by the great musician who was playing in the background! The food was awesome and the service was great! Would definately recommend this place!
It was fun to find a variety of seafood choices from very formal to much less so: an elegant fish dish to a low country seafood boil, exquisite oysters on the half shell to fried catfish. This is a fairly casual dining place with lovely fish art all around. Very enjoyable.
Overall good. Took our server more than 15 min to greet us. And than another 10 to get at least water. After this bump everything else went smoothly.
It was a nice comfortable place...service etc was good; She Crab soup was very good, but lacked sherry or something to compare to what I make myself. Bacon, Shrimp macaroni & cheese was different - maybe grill the shrimp or undercook the bacon a bit to make it special. Scampi was way too watery,( they gave me some parmesan cheese to thicken it up) the crab cake was below par maybe ditch it and add more shrimp. $6 oyster/dozen were special particularly the price . Pimento Cheese was special. Mussels were not the ones I cared for at Goldfish. Wine was good.
This is just my opinion and I am sure they don't need my suggestions as it was full on a rainy Wednesday night.
I must say that I am very impressed with Coast. My husband and I went this past Friday and the food did not upset by any means. I ordered the hush puppies as a appetizer and they were yummie and fresh. My entree included the blackened scallops. Boy oh Boy were those absolutely great!! My husband ordered the cedar plank scottish salmon and just ask them to make sure to cook the fish through. Well they did a great job preparing both of our meals. Lets just say that my husband cleaned his plate with no leftovers to take home. We wanted to order dessert but we were absolutely stuffed. Thanks Coast for a amazing Friday evening!
The food was delicious, but the restaurant way too noisy!
There are not that many places in Atlanta to get good shrimp, crab and Maine lobster tail. But, it shouldn't have to break the bank and come with an attitude. When we arrived, it was still to hot out to sit outside... Or, so we thought... Didn't know the ac unit was broken inside. Thanks hostess for the warning. Then, the server gave us attitude all night. Got several orders and requests wrong. When one of my guests asked for lemons for the third time, he literally said, "I'll get them when I get a second.". Chilled seafood plate was delicious, but seemed expensive. Nobody liked their entree. Scampi was so garlicky, it was almost inedible. I'd go back, but only if I could sit on the patio, and only to order cold apps and drinks. And, only if I was ready to spend.
