The freshest fish, succulent shellfish and colossal seafood towers are here, with the rarest, perfectly prepared oysters nestled in beds of ice. This is BC’s best seafood and true West Coast dining, flashy and fun for every mood and every occasion.
Really enjoyed the service at the during Happy Hour. The bartender was friendly and upbeat which made the dining experience great. The food was very good and the service was excellent.
Super awesome brunch! Our server was great, noise level was perfect, coffee was good too!
The food was really, really good. The only dish we were a little disappointed in was the 1/2 lobster tail rosti. The rosti itself was quite soft and bland, and the lobster was quite small for the $20 price (for a breakfast dish) and a little dry, it was a little underwhelming. The bacon tater hash was excellent though!! Would definitely return.
We went for a special occasion and it was all right, but not worth the money to be honest. We had appies which were good, drinks were good, entrees were lackluster and dessert was good. One entree was served under cooked to the point it was cold so it went back and the other got cold while we waited for the other to come back. Not everything ordered was served, it was on the bill but was fixed when it was mentioned. It seemed like we were a nuisance, the server was nice but just dropped the ball a few times, the manager didn't seem to care and we left unimpressed.
Not sure! I ordered the omelet and it was too bland and simple. Nothing great! There were 2 ladies across the table from me , who ordered the egg benadict, and they were raving about how amazing the food was. I guess I ordered the wrong dish :(
Our Scottish server was very friendly and knew the menu well. He checked with the chef if they could tweak some dishes to accommodate my food allergies and this was no problem. My partner had the beef carpaccio and steak, I had mussels and a fish special with salmon, crap, huge prawns and veggies in a tomato sauce. It was all delicious and more than enough.
We came in for fish and chip Friday but ended up having lobster topped ravioli as a starter. The food was excellent and our server was fantastic. Great place to enjoy lunch!
One of my favorites in Vancouver which is a city with many fabulous options. One of the best!
Our Server went about and beyond! I don’t remember if I caught his name but whoever you are you’re an amazing server! Thank you for the complimentary Dessert!
Inspite of having a reservation during a non-peak hour, our entrees came after waiting for about 45-65 mins. They were served about 30 mins apart. So I had to wait until my husband's order arrived and my food was already cold. Our server gave unsolicited comments which I thought was overly rude since the service was already so slow.
Great space! The food was not the best, a lot of us at the table noticed that things were not brought out as they should have been.
We had a party of 9 and shared our food so I got to try many dishes. The food overall was subpar, especially for the price paid. The calamari was too salty. OTOH the sablefish and ahi tuna was too bland. The desserts tasted different but not in a good way. The ganache had carrot (?) in it that distracted from the rich chocolate creamy taste. The cheesecake was fluffy and soggy! We also went to Sandbar recently and had similar dishes which were far better.
The server was alright. She tried to keep things informal unlike some higher end restaurants, which is fine with me. However, I have to take one star off when she threw the oyster forks behind my back to my guests sitting on the opposite side of the table (instead of from their own backs). The forks were not neatly or correctly placed on the table either. On the plus side, she did give us a complimentary butter cake dessert for a guest's birthday, and that was actually better than the two we ordered.
Fine dining and first class service in the heart of Vancouver. We were meeting out of town guests who didn’t show up so it transformed into a wonderful date night. The quality of food and service were extraordinary.
Food and service was top notch! Albert was amazing.
Fish was fresh and well prepared. Service a little too fast paced for my taste. Good thing I ordered in 2 parts or I would have been out in 35 minutes!
We went for my friends birthday dinner
Food was too saltly, and the quality of food was very plain. Slicing some beats and dumping some candied salmon is not fine dining. It didnt feel like fine dining at all. Server was not attentive at all. Place is wayyyy too loud.
Well I was seated to a super tiny table at the end of the restaurant. I had to lean against the wall the whole time. Worst, the lobster I ordered was not fresh at all... the lobster must either be previously frozen or be dead for at least 24 hours.... dont go....
It was for Vancouver dine out event and we felt like we were rushed out of the restaurant. The food was good but it was a bit noisy
I had the food on the dine out menu. I thought all the food include fried oyster and New York steak were pre made, because the steak was cook and hard. The food was served fast because all of them are pre made.
I liked the atmosphere, but the food was not as good as I expected. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't a good value. Additionally, twice a course was brought incomplete or late.
Dine out vancouver.
Great place to crave lobster dish.
We had steak that was missing flavour, the appetizer was very good
My husband and I went as a date night for Dine Out. I ordered the lobster tail which was severely overcooked and chewy. When our waitress (Isabelle) noticed I didn't want the last few bites, she asked why. I said the lobster was overcooked. She did apologize, however I don't feel that it was enough. A manager did not come by nor was I offered a replacement.
Disappointed in Coast, and would not recommend friends there. Actually, when OUR friends found out we went, they asked why we would ever go there. Oops. Let this be a warning to you all!
It's always a treat to go to Coast. Great food, friendly servers. Can't wait for my next visit!
Lobster was over cooked, service could of been better. I will not return.
As a group of 7, we went to COAST during this year's DINE OUT. We had a quiet table upstairs which was excellent to talk to each other normally. The DINE OUT menu was amazing and I would recommend COAST to everyone you desires Seafood. The service was very forthcoming (great team). Looking forward to our next visit.
Dine out Vancouver 👌🏼
Went to Coast for Dine Out Vancouver Festival 2019 and it was a great experience. We added the sushi course with our meal and the tuna tataki was amazing. Our server Nora was so sweet and attentive. The food came out in a timely manner and everything was great. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster tail was juicy, and the appetizers were delicious. The open airy atmosphere is romantic and not too loud so you can have a conversation. Overall, I would definitely recommend the restaurant for those looking for a nice meal out.
Very cooperative staff, especially when I had to add to the number of people, they kindly offered a private room just suitable for the business dinner.
The feature dish was absolutely amazing!!! Very good service. I love Coast♥️
Oysters were fresh as usual, scallops were undercooked, lobsters were overcooked, and tenderloin was delicious.
Kinda pushy serving to fasten dining.
Inexperienced front desk girls who can’t hang the coats properly, and their responses wowed the experience.
Our servers were amazing. Very attentive and helpful. We had a party of 10 and everyone’s food was great. Some of us had the dine out menu which was incredible. One of my favourite dine out menus so far.
I went to COAST for dine out. The appetizers and entrée are great, but the desert is not good for my tease. Overall is great.
Went there for Dine Out, the food and service were great! Highly recommended.
Coast’s “Dine Out Vancouver” menu was excellent
Came for dineout - Jan 20, 2019. Nice dining environment but disappointed with the main entrees. Appies were nice. I quite liked the beet carpaccio - well done. 6oz steak was not great. When ordering, requested one medium rare and another medium rare, but more on the rare side. Both arrived and you could tell immediately they would be well done. The outside was dark and charred and upon cutting, they were well done. The server kindly took them back and a few minutes later, one came back medium rare (pink and juicy) and the other was still medium well. We had specified already that we're happy with more rare than medium and the kitchen wasn't able to accomplish that. Surprising since they're affiliated with Black + Blue, a steakhouse. Lobster tail entree was ok. Good portion, a bit salty. Dessert was fine. Service was decent. Unfortunately, wouldn't come back here for steak.
My first date dinner was here at coast restaurant and the service is outstanding. me and my friend have a wonderful day that night
We loved Coast. Found it a bit strange that there was a TV in the corner playing the hockey game. Sort of took away from the overall experience. The food and service was amazing, so only a small criticism.
The worst service I have ever had. The dine out food was just ok.
If lobster was streamed instead of boiled would be way better. Lobster's taste lost all in the huge pot of hot water. The steaks were good. The brussels sprouts is always the best thing. Mixing with Lemon juice, capers, parmesan, chilli... Unbeatable. However, it would be great if a little bit more the excess oil removed after the deep frying process. The side dish's deep fried Mac & Cheese was good, too.
