Tuesday Lunch special is the fish taco which was amazing. We let them know we were in rush to get back to work and they were able to accomodate. If you are using your Global gift cards to pay for your meal, make sure you know what your current balance is and ensure the server does not put multiple transactions through. Not sure how our server thought we told her to put a total of $60 through our GCs when the total bill was $41.
Celebrating new career
Coast Seafood Tower was the highlight of the evening, particularly the sashimi. The staff members were very attentive. We will definitely be going back.
Crawford was an amazing server. The best I have ever had. Thank you!!
Wonderful as always.
Have been to Coast twice before and this time was disappointed with the food, my steak was under cooked and never received the brussel sprouts I ordered.
Great Sunday late afternoon happy hour menu - 2 featured happy hour specialty dishes but what happened to the Goose Iskand Honker Ale??? Please bring it back on.
Great experience everytime I go. Food and drink is excellent along with great service
The staff was excellent. Our waitress was really funny and generally on top of things. The food came reasonably quickly and the steaks we ordered were cooked perfectly! The raw seafood share platter I thought was a bit overpriced for what we got. Should have gone for the cooked option. Definitely not a cheap place for dinner but it was a special occasion so worth it!
Great selection and outstanding service
Great team, obviously well led
We had the special of the day - fish tacos. It was a hint spicy. Very tasty. Worth going for the special as otherwise the price is rather pricey.
Very good seafood menu, reasonably priced. Server was attentive and professional but support staff were inexperienced and needed direction from the server.
This was a gem! The food was so delicious and very creative in presentation. It’s a find in Vancouver. I would recommend this to everyone.
Great food and drinks! Lovely place and service
Everything was perfect! It was nice to have good food while bringing the kids along. My 6 yr old enjoyed her first raw oyster!
Needed a special evening out, 1/2 dozen oysters all amazing , Ahi Tuna & Artic Char both excellent along with a loverly bottle of white from Napa Valley. Dinner was followed up with two lovely desserts. Not the least expensive place in Vancouver, but it's worth it once in a while.
Tried the Coast for a work team lunch. I wasn't sure what I felt like, so I had some oysters, some sushi and an appetizer. The Oysters and Sushi were fabulous! Very fresh and nicely presented. My Smoked Salmon Flatbread (from the appetizer menu) was huge; way too big for one person to eat as a meal I felt. I ate as much as possible because it was sooo good, and brought the rest back to the office (it was promptly finished by my co-workers). My colleagues all had meals that they quite enjoyed as well. Though some of the items on the menu came with a hefty price, you can easily have eat here on the cheap for lunch; they have a daily lunch special for $10, and all the options looked enticing.
Seriously AMAZING service. AMAZING chefs. AMAZING staff/management. AMAZING seafood. AMAZING wine. And.... our server, Natalie, took AMAZING care of us!
I travel the world taking clients to 5+ star restaurants, and I have to say, Natalie is one of the BEST servers I’ve experienced. Thank you! Claudio-
Oscar, at the desk, was warm and charming in his welcome. Brad's service was impeccable in every way. The food was mediocre. The calamari was cold and mushy: could have been left standing a long time under the lamp or had been microwaved. The Caesar Salad leaves were limp; the dressing was tasty. The Crab Dip appetizer was also luke-warm, stodgy; the toast dried out and cold.
I've dined at Coast on numerous occasions, and I've always been pleased with the delicious food and the friendly service by the staff. However, the service provided by the hostess, Neeva, has left me disappointed this time.
Upon arrival at the restaurant (around 5:10pm), I let Neeva know that I had a reservation. She asked if my friend and I would be ordering from the regular menu or the happy hour menu. We decided to take advantage of the fact that there was happy hour, and as we told her our choice, she promptly informed me that reservations cannot be made for happy hour (which we were not aware of). Once we told her that we wanted to do happy hour, her attitude completely changed, as if we weren't deserving of good service because we're ordering happy hour items.
She then brought us outside and said we can choose from the tables here, pointing to the ones that were closest to the sidewalk. I should also mention that it was a very cold, windy day, and there was only 1 other table occupied at the time outside, not to mention that inside the restaurant was only a quarter full, if that. It would have been nice if we were given the option to sit inside or at a table that was further away from the sidewalk to shield us from the wind. I had asked her if there were any tables available inside, and she said there was 1 but it was a bigger table, basically hinting that we shouldn't insist on it. We chose a table closest to the fire on one side. But honestly, it was so windy, we barely felt any heat.
Thankfully, our server Oscar noticed that we were freezing, and moved us to a more comfortable table, closer to the restaurant. We immediately felt warmer. He even went above and beyond and brought us 2 cups of hot water and offered blankets. I would really like to praise Oscar for the service he provided. He was attentive, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He really turned our negative experience around.
We also really enjoyed the food.
Thanks
We went for Happy Hour and had a very good service. The food was excellent. It was my birthday and I got a nice cake.
Final meal after a long weekend of fun
Coast did not disappoint. It was our first brunch experience at Coast as we regularly go to the lounge and/or have dinner and it was outstanding value. It was Easter and a very lively larger group nearby was louder than necessary but did not impact our wonderful meals, excellent cocktails and value wine. See you again.
Great Service. Great staff and Food.
We had Seafood tower and seafood Linguine.
That was delicious and fresh! Very good service!
Always a great experience whenever I dine at Coast. The food is delicious and fresh.
Went there for the happy hour menu and everything I had on that menu was amazing.
Visiting Vancouver from USA. Picked Coast from descriptions of outstanding seafood. It did not disappoint. Enjoyed oysters and shrimp cocktail appetizers. Halibut entree was outstanding. Attentive service on a busy evening.
Oysters with my 12 and 9 year old daughters
Good prompt service and very good food. I had the surf and turf and my wife had the pasta. Both were very good. Also had quite possibly the best ceasar salad and calamari I’ve ever had. I’d definitely go back.
The only complaint I had was they sat us right beside the ‘supplies table’ where the servers we constantly coming to get utensils, plates, napkins etc. There was plenty of space so it would have been nice to sit somewhere with a bit less clattering and traffic. There was plenty of other tables available.
Great selection and outstanding service. The food was so delicious and very creative in presentation. It’s a find in Vancouver. I would recommend this to everyone.
A great place to have dinner. I had the tenderloin but normally go for the cod. Great service and always a good dining experience.
The food was ok it nothing more service was good but kind of slow
Our server was amazing, food was fantastic! Absolutely love Coast!
Frenchy is awesome and so is ALL your staff! Thank you.
Overall liked it
Will definitely go back
We made reservations online for my Mother’s Birthday. When we arrived, the hostess asked if we were there for dining or the Happy Hour. We said the Happy hour as it was 5pm. She responded in a very negative and condescending tone, and replied, ‘just so you know, we’ve changed our policy and reservations are for dining only’. When we noted that this was news to us, as we made the reservation online (and it was not mentioned on the website)and spoke to the restaurant to confirm our reservation, she switched her tone and said she had already spoken to management about this problem on the website. She said that she could give us the table, but only if we ‘gave it back’ in a couple of hours, like it was an ultimatum. While this may be the case, front of house should know how to speak to guests. We have been to other fine restaurants where they’ve let us know about tables as well, but they’ve always been friendly and courteous. Guests should never be spoken down to in a rude manner and ‘put in their place’ if a policy has in fact changed, or if they need a table back. Our server was brusk as well. It was a very unfriendly atmosphere aside from the gentleman that greeted us and came by with some of our drinks. Overall, it was an unpleasant dining experience.
Ok. I expected they will treat the Birthday boy a dessert
The service was incredibly slow, but staff was very friendly and accommodating when our party increased from 6 to 8. Appetizers were excellent. My entree was a bit greasy. The hash browns potatoes were very oily.
