My one complaint is the music. If you look at the age of the clientele, the music could be age appropriate, and not so loud. I asked them to change the music one time and i was told, well the owner likes this music. Is the owner there every night??? Food is great, so i put up with the music.

I just moved back here and Coast use to be a go to for me many years ago. Fast forward 6 years later I don’t know what happened to that place. I ordered the lobster and it was tiny! They also didn’t bring me mash potatoes so they had to afterwards same with my date. Overall the server was friendly the food quality was mediocre at best I will probably not go there again.

good was excellent! crab cakes are so yummy! had the 3 course lobster menu and hubby had the rib eye steak! creme brule was delish. we will definately come back!

Mixed review. Food was decent, but not great. Like my $44 pan seared scallops dish was good in the scallops portion, but the pork belly that comes with it was way too salty. It also took nearly a half hour between our appetizers being done and our main course being ready. I’m certain they forgot about our order, which happens, but an apology would have been nice, or maybe taking off the price of a drink? The table we were at was also within elbow bumping range of the couple beside us, a little awkward for a date night. Service was friendly. I noticed they bent over backward to appease a table where I assumed they complained (overheard the wait staff and manager(?) saying do whatever you can to make it right) but I guess because I didn’t complain loudly, no one bothered to see how it could be made right. Like I said, it was sort of a “meh” experience.

Best food and service in Vancouver! We will definitely go there again for Mother's Day Dinner. I thought they could improve on butter for lobster but I rounded up to 5 star.

I don't mind the food at Coast but the service from my last visit left a lot to be desired.
I was accompanied by a vegan friend who had to send their meal back twice because it didn't appear that the staff their understood what vegan meant which is disappointing given that in this day in age most places are not only incredibly accommodating to alternative lifestyles, but also enjoy the challenge of creating an inclusive menu.
I am not a vegan, nor do I have any dietary restrictions, but I felt bad for my friend.

We went to The Coast for the first time ever during DINE OUT Vancouver. We had Stephanie as a server who was, hands down, the best server we have had anywhere. Ever. She was absolutely charming, welcoming, helpful and made our date night experience simply perfect. As for the food, we did not end up ordering from the DINE OUT menu. Instead, we shared a calamari appy, we each had a clam chowder and then we shared the seafood tower. It was all delicious, fresh and well presented. We were very surprised at the portion size of the soup, especially. The clam chowder was DELICIOUS and a huge bowl! For a nice night out or special occasion, we will absolutely visit again.

We went for dine Vancouver but ended up eating thier special for super bowl day. Ribeye steak, rib and lobster .
We felt that combo should be heavy so we didn’t order any starters but the server surprised us with sample of Salmon croquet.
Thier dessert portion are good for sharing. Key lime pie is tasty but I felt heavy on the cream topping.
Overall first time experience is excellent so we will come back!

The flavor of the dishes were great but not that hot when they were served. The lobster bisque was very runny for a bisque...........not sure if the regular menu is also like that.

After booking my reservation with open table I received a call from the restaurant warning me I had a time limit and I had to be done with my table by 8:30pm(as they had another booking). I was taken back at first but thought my husband and I could keep our date night dinner within the time frame. When arriving at the restaurant we were again reminded that we had to be finished within a certain timeframe. After sitting at our table another waitress came to also tell us we had to be finished by 7:50pm. Now this is 40 minutes earlier than what I was already called about. I felt extremely rushed. Very worried if we would be out in time or finished our meal for that matter. The feeling of rushing our order and eating our food was more disappointing than I thought. We didn't even have time for an after dinner coffee or dessert. Our waiter recommended a restaurant close by...

The food was delicious but like I said I would have liked to enjoy it instead of rushing to eat and knowing we had to hurry.

We were there for dining out. Everything is good except that we cannot feel full after we have finished the meal. One thing to mention was that I just know that the pork can be cooked rare as the waiter told us it is a good pork meat and refuse to replace the meat. As it was the only piece done in that way out of other 4 pieces, I am just not confident to eat that rare pork meat.
