COAST is where fresh British Columbia seafood dazzles in a setting that features a clean, contemporary design with deep turquoise tones, mosaic-tile floors, and lush leather banquettes. This is the definition of a breathtaking Vancouver aesthetic that extends a respectful nod to historic San Francisco, home to the world’s most iconic seafood eateries. The COAST entry welcomes guests through a street-side patio bordered by two custom fireplaces.
Great place for a great lunch
Will definitely be returning to this place, the food is great, excellent service. A go-to for seafood, definitely!
This is only our second time going to Coast, but hands down is one of our favourite restaurants. The service is great, the food is phenomenal. Portion size is perfect, and the seafood is top notch. Definitely worth the price, which isn’t too bad compared to other places.
The only critique I would have, and it’s minor, is that the music doesn’t really match the atmosphere. Although it was fun to hear 90s hip hop, not something I expected at this restaurant. That won’t stop us from going back though.
Server was great & funny!
Andrew was an amazing server Very knowledgeable about the menu -
Power may have been out all day - but they pulled off an amazing service. Back for lunch the next day!!!
Our planned Brunch with Business Clients was cancelled due to your establishment's power outage. Although you advised that Italian Kitchen was available, it changed our plans at the last minute, and we weren't sure if the Menu or Service would be comparable from Coast. Please do better as it would be sad if no one shows up to your restaurant and the area will have even more empty places going out of business...!
I wish we could tell you how we liked it, unfortunately the restaurant was closed (despite letting us book the table within the hour of our reservation) and no one had the courtesy to call or text us. We got there with a toddler and a newborn only to find that we need to find ourselves somewhere else to eat. Not cool.
Amazing place to take a date for the first time, Laura was an amazing server, definitely coming back
We got the tower of seafood with the sushi and drinks. The seafood tower was fair. I wasn't very impressed with the flavor. The crab was plain and there wasn't any butter or other sauce. The lobster was pretty chewy. The sushi was good. We enjoyed the nigiri the most, which is pretty simple. The drinks were good, but they weren't great. I felt like we paid too much for the quality of the food. The quality of the service was high.
Fantastic attention by the server.
We went for the lunch special and it was really delicious. We had seafood risotto and it was filling but not overly heavy. Coast has a great variety of dishes and everything looked amazing.
Sublime. Exceptional food Good tables and Consummate service. Sara was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive . Seafood was fresh. We love oysters and the Kushi oysters were sweet firm and delicious. Watching the sushi chef prepare the salmon was tantalising . The produce used is exceptional . Seafood linguini and maple chinook salmon luxuriant . Great atmosphere. Clear that the mantra is Customers come first. Our best dining experience in Vancouver- so good we returned for our last night. Again all courses were beautiful- and the lovely Sara took care of us again.
We had friends in from Manitoba and they wanted seafood. Coast was the first choice. Frenchie and the staff made experience memorable and fun.
Keep up the great work!
It was a really great experience. Our server was very attentive without being too much in your face. He knew when we needed something and when we wanted to be left alone. The food was all amazing and we left more than satisfied.
Wonderful evening and super food.
Fantastic, as usual!
Large, warehouse dining room, but with warm vibe. Great salad, fish and clam chowder, but desserts leave something to be desired. The Mission Hill Pinot noir was delicious. Excellent service. Our server thought we’d love our chocolate gateau so much, he’d eat the cost if we didn’t. Well, we didn’t - it was less than good - and he was true to his word.
Food is great. Seafoods are fresh. Excellent service. Will be coming back again.
CAD 250 with drinks and brunch for four may seem high, but it was worth every dime! The fantastic manager on duty came by to check things out and made time to visit with the "Acadian" Frenchman from Louisiana, with him being the "Canadian" Frenchman. Amusing character and very pleasant. We had three dozen oysters to start with, and for the second course(s), I had the octopus ceviche, another had lobster bisque, and the others had a lobster Croque Madame (sunny side egg, sourdough, shaved prosciutto, taleggio fondue) without a doubt, this was the most decadent sandwich I've ever eaten. Nothing by itself would do, but to blend all these flavors with the fondue made the dish exquisite. I only had a bite of theirs, but when I return... I will have the whole thing by myself. Until then, Laissez les bons temps rouler
The staff and food were impeccable! The manager Andrew was wonderful and a great conversationalist.
Excellent food. Very friendly staff. The atmosphere was nice and romantic. We’ll worth the money
Our fish we orderd was very dry and we had to return it for another order.
The table next to ours had 2 kids who was quite noisy and would disturb us sometimes as they were sitting very close to us which is not what I would expect in a high end restaurant.
Always a joy to come to Coast! Great seafood and atmosphere.
Great food, great wine & great service
Anniversary of being proposed to :)
It was date night for my husband and I this past Sunday. We had the special menu that Coast is offering in the month of October. An amazing value for delicious food (pork and scallops). Substantial portions beautifully presented. We also had outstanding service from Laura. Although not very busy the restaurant still had a nice vibe.
Service was great. Great brunch place.
We had the $45 set menu, the portions were actually bigger than expected and the food was delicious.
This was during my visit to Vancouver. Lunch was pretty nice. Oysters were so fresh. Crab cake was full
Logan the waitress was very personable, friendly and caring. She explained everything very clearly. She took time with each table to make us all feel special.
However at times she can speed it up a bit since being too chatty can have a reverse effect resulting in food and drinks delivery delaying. We noticed a couple of tables near by in her station had to wait quite some time for their drinks and food.
Alex one of the managers was awesome. He’s quite knowledgeable with everything around him. We had quite a nice chat.
Place and decor wise is nice and hip. The oysters and whole crab, king crab legs etc was placed on ice in the middle of the bar which is awesome. There’s some great values on the Saturday and Sunday brunch which made it very affordable to the young crowds.
We would totally come back next time when in Vancouver again.
Lovely Ambiance, food was delicious, service was prompt & well priced.
Definitely a great place for dinner
I paid 78$ for boiled crab legs barely warm and boiled vegetables on the side. Very disappointed although my friends dinner was acceptable. It is overpriced anyway.
We started off with happy hour and enjoyed the dishes. We ordered dinner later as well but were feeling full. Would most likely go back for happy hour again. Great value at that time but also very busy!
Had a great time at the sushi bar.
Max is the best sushi chef in the city!!
Seems to be maintaining their standards, meals are ok and nothing exceptional but good atmosphere
My sister and I decided to go to Vancouver to celebrate my birthday and being that the city is known for their great seafood we decided to come here based on the menu. We had a reservation and when we got there the hostess was extremely friendly and immediately walked us to our table. Our waiter was very nice and took down our appetizer (ordered a few oysters which we had the waiter pick the best variety) and drink orders first. It took quite some time for them to bring those (i thought they had literally gone and fetch the oysters from the sea themselves) Once the drinks and oysters arrived they were definitely worth the wait. I had the thyme/fig cocktail and asked them if they could accommodate and substitute the gin for vodka and they said yes. The cocktail was sweet and refreshing. The oysters for exactly the same fresh and absolutely delicious. We proceeded to order our entrees I had the pan seared sablefish. I have to say that our entrees came quite quickly from when we ordered it. I has never had that type of fish before and I am glad that it tasted exceptional divine. It was cooked to perfection and sat on top of creamy mashed potatoes with a lemon caper sauce accompanied by a selection of sauteed vegetables. I finished the whole thing. After that our waiter kept coming back and checking on us and was extremely efficient. Our dessert was a creme brulee which wasn't the most amazing creme brulee that I have had but it had the flavors of what you would expect of a restaurant creme brulee. Even though our waiter didn't acknowledge or ask what we were celebrating (even though in our reservations I stated it) all of his recommendations on the menu were spot on. I would highly recommend this place since the quality of food is definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Great food and service!
Food was excellent as always, lovely environment. It was a bit noisy as we noticed that we were trying talk loudly in order to be heard.
