The freshest fish, succulent shellfish and colossal seafood towers are here, with the rarest, perfectly prepared oysters nestled in beds of ice. This is BC’s best seafood and true West Coast dining, flashy and fun for every mood and every occasion.
We were made to feel a little uncomfortable about wanting to enjoy happy hour as well as the main menu for dining. After we were seated, 2 more families had a similar awkward encounter about not being allowed to order from the happy hour menu.
We had group of 10 for business dinner. Coast did a great job managing this large group on main menu. Accommodated last minute addition to party. Highly recommend.
It was LOUD. The waiter was great, but the wine steward was over-bearing and impatient.
The worst? I had a bad piece of shellfish and was sick, violently sick all night after.
My thought? Find somewhere better.
Have been to Coast a number of times. The menu was not as inspiring as in the past. Service was very good. Will go back but not in the near future.
We had the pleasure of dining with Crawford - he made our dinner experience fun! Best dishes the table got was the steaks from their neighboring steakhouse.
Great atmosphere and tremendous food and service. Decent wine list too
Disappointed. Coast is an overrated and expensive restaurant. No rolls or butter served with beverages, salad, or entree. There are much better places for seafood in Vancouver.
Another excellent meal at Coast restaurant. It was nice to be able to have a business discussion without being interrupted by the well trained and aware staff. Thank you!
Veggies were cold and fish was overcooked. Mangos on desert were not even ripe, and the cake was dry. Not very impressive overall.
Food was ordinary. New England clam chowder wasn't what I was expecting, the lobster special came with bland rice, and the creme brulee wasn't particularly good, it was too thick and lacked flavor.
Wonderful food and excellent service.
I am going to try to be as fair and balanced as possible here, and try to give this place the benefit of doubt due to it's relatively high rating, and recommendation of my hotel concierge.
I came to Vancouver for vacation, and to eat seafood... I mean, you're beside the ocean, it should be amazing, right?. I asked the concierge for a recommendation and she immediately suggested COAST. I googled it, and it had a 4.2/5 rating. Sounded like a plan. She cautioned me that it may be a little costly, but I've always believed in spending good money for good food.
My experience at COAST was not good. Not at all. Honestly, the appetizers were the best part, and the presentation is fantastic. However, you can only put so much lipstick on a pig.
After the appetizers, my girlfriend and I ordered a large combo platter of some kind. The folks to our right sat down after we ordered, and ordered the same thing. They received theirs first, and not by a few seconds, it was closer to 10 - 15min. Ours came out as they were finishing. Our salmon was so overcooked that our forks just made a dull thud when you tapped it with the fork. The rest of the dish's temperature reminded me of something that had sat under a heat lamp at a cheap "all you can eat" seafood buffet, in that it was tepid at best.
After dropping the platter off, the waiter basically disappeared. Drinks were empty and I wanted to send the dish back, but ultimately my girlfriend suggested that we just "eat it and go."
Quite disappointing. I am shocked by the historically high reviews and comments of others. Perhaps I came on an "off night" but I will not be coming back. I ended up at a place called Rodney's the next day. 3/4 of the price and 4 times the quality.
Excellent food and even better service. Very good waiter as he was always there when we needed something
As always amazing. Blaine served us, he usually does and we will be requesting him from now on!!
Very nice restaurant. We made a reservation at the bar, which was great. Very knowledgeable staff and great food.
Amazing service & food quality. The entire experience can simply be summed up to “you get what you pay for.”
Amazing dinner yet again.
Brandon is a server that exceeds above and beyond.
Highly recommend restaurant.
Our server was awesome and the food was great.
Everything was 5 star... the food... the staff... and the experience. I do not understand why this restaurant had a 4.2 rating. To me it was a 4.6 at least.
Hotel suggested restaurant for its fish
Great food-saber fish was delish-presentation beautiful Hubby had halibut -good too
Table next to us celebrating a birthday
An excellent meal, made more enjoyable by Michael, who provided attentive, friendly service.
Fantastic!!! Best spot to go in Vancouver, would go back anytime! Service was exceptional!!!
A surprisingly affordable and varied brunch menu for weekend dining.
Try the Seafood Tower - the presentation is fantastic along with the variety of tasty morsels.
A great place to celebrate a special event, or to simply enjoy a weekend brunch.
i got a glass of hot water with a red lip stick mark and a rude waiter
Visiting Vancouver from Melbourne the foodie capital of Australia we were excited to find this place. Don’t miss eating here- delicious food, great wine list and inviting atmosphere. The place hums ! Try to sit upstairs on the mezzanine and look down at the hive of activity in the centre bar and seafood area ... awesome ! The added facility of the Sushi menu and attached (but separate) eatery area also gave the place an edge - loved it all and the Spot prawns and halibut specials of the day were an extra pleasure. My husband loved his oysters and seafood linguine. You are spoilt too with the beautiful desserts. Friendly staff made the night one to remember!
Great restaurant and it is obvious everybody enjoys working there...it shows in their works. Food is outstanding!
Great food and service, drinks seemed a touch watered down
Great experience overall. Will definitely go back there especially for special occasions!
Ive been there multiple tiles. Not sure what happened this once although it wasn’t peak hour. Disappointing
Great evening out. If ever back in Vancouver, will come back to Coast.
Very good in every respect
This is a good restaurant. My girlfriends Sable Fish was excellent. My lobster was not good. It was mushy. Ive had much better lobster. I have eaten here before and the food is great. I will go back again.
Great seafood restaurant, planty of choices and extremely good service.
Brandon was an amazing server! Great food as always definitely worth the money
Food was really good and the service was excellent
Great place, great food, great service. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Vancouver.
Have been to different restaurants in Glowbal Group and always have good experience. First time in this restaurant but did not get the same level of service. May be I just ordered the daily lunch special which is $9.95 and a drink? The waitress just took my order and left. Her only return was when I asked for the bill.
All the dishes are great. The seafood towers are incredible.
It was daily quiet on a Sunday night.
Simply amazing service. Our server took the time to check-in with us at all times.
Server was amazing and so helpful. She was unreal.
