Coast Ratings and Reviews
We went here for New Year's Eve. It was great -- unbeatable beach view, delicious food, and surprisingly quiet when it was tough to get a reservation last minute at most other places. We were also able to walk down to the beach to see the fireworks and avoid the craziness of Lowdermilk and the Pier.
We were very happy to have valet parking and to make a reservation at the last minute during Christmas week. We were greatful to be able to dine with our 7 friends and also to be able to have conversations - and hear each other. It was too cool to dine outside so we ate inside and were satisfied. The service was very good but the food was a bit average for the price. The restaurant is in the middle of the hotel lobby area. Having said all this, I would go back again.
We had a sunset dinner on the patio. A family with two young children were seated next to us. The children were excessively loud. The parents did very little to settle the children. We finally got up from our meal when a final tantrum began. This caused every table to notice. We mentioned the reason for our early departure to the mgr on duty and all she could say was that she was not aware of thw situation.
Food was average at best. Both fish entrees were way overcooked. Service staff were trying hard but just missed on a few things. I would not return for dinner.
We took my Mom to Christmas Dinner at Coast in the Edge Water Beachfront Hotel. It was our first time there. They had a pre-fix meal that evening, which did not surprise me. The steak that I had was huge, and I could only eat about half of it. I was cooked to perfection. The soup was Parsnip Bisque, and was delicious. The salad looked like it took someone a while to put together and was enjoyable. The desert was Mango/Guava cheesecake and was extremely delicious. I could not finish either.
So, I made reservations via Open Table website, for Christmas Day. I wanted to have breakfast with ocean view, so this one was available. I booked it and then called the restaurant. They explained the didn't have a Christmas Breakfast per se, but I was happy to at least have a place with ocean view. When we arrived, I had to tell the host I made reservations online. Then he pointed that he didn't have anything outdoor (as I specified in the reservation), so we had to wait until something came available (around 20 minutes later). Then, the service was very slow. For a Christmas day you would have expected more waitresses, but not the case. The breakfast menu was limited, but we all found something to good. Coffee was not anything special and food was good. The overall experience was good, but not as I expected for a Christmas morning... fortunately Naples had a great weather that morning and the gulf looked amazing!! I would not recommend this restaurant for a special occasion, unless you want the view (and I would recommend you call before hand to ensure you get an "outdoor" table if you reserved it).
This is Restaurant Week and they were out of several of the specials forcing us to order off regular menu. The food was average at best considering the cost. Our server was a young gal that started the day prior and had little education or knowledge of the food and menu. Just expected much more when dinner for 2 cost $150
We went to Coast in the Edgewater Beach Hotel for Restaurant Week. We had never been there prior to this. We ordered off the price fixe menu and had a delicious 4 course meal. Everything was fresh, well presented, the service was attentive and the drinks were amazing. We will definitely go back to Coast and look forward to dining off their regular menu.
We loved the atmosphere. The service needs better coordination. Water wasn’t filled. Wait staff wasn’t thrilled when we asked for separate checks and they mixed up the payments. Took forever to get the cc payments done. We ordered from the prix fix menu and the food was mediocre. Seemed like there wasn’t enough people to service the crowd. Would come back for a drink, snack and sunset but probably not for dinner.
Hard to understand the waiter he had an accent and switched our bills up. My black grouper had no flavor it was suppose to have some kind off seasoning but bland. My friend had the salmon and said it was excellent. Great view we even watched a wedding party by the pool.
This was a present surprise! A Monday night dinner with visiting family. One question we all had was where was everyone else?
The server was friendly and efficient, the food was creative, served well and very tasty and the ambience, while subbed by the lack of other dinners, certainly had potential.
We will definitely give this sleek place another try.
We often stay at this Hotel and eat at this wonderful restaurant. The burrata caprese salad is the best appetizer!! I also had breakfast there and the chef gave me the recipe for Grand Marnier Sauce!! soooooo good! i already made it at home and it was delicious!
The Coast Restaurant is a hidden gem inside the Edgewater Beach Hotel.
I dined there for a pre-surgery dinner. The grouper dinner was spectacular and pre-empted by homemade hot bread with oil and butter . Our service was fabulous and our scenic view of the sunset an added bonus!
One week later I returned post-op to dine again.
The dinner was equally as delicious as the week before. We were celebrating my 4 yr old granddaughter's Birthday and the server brought out a huge beautiful cake and ice cream dessert complete with syrup , cherries and sprinkles and even sang to her !
Coast is my new favorite restaurant for an all around great dining experience .
Group allowed to bring in pizzas, pull tables together and basically take over the restaurant. Many people left - we should have. Staff was notified and took no action. Unbelievably expensive restaurant for children to run around and bring in carry out food. I will never return and have told others as well.
Coast served a lovely Father's Day lunch. Did not realize that it was so much "in the hotel"; assumed their would be a number other non-guest diners. Still the staff was very welcoming, the pool view was nice, but assumed from the photos online that dining would be more gulf side versus pool side. Gazpacho was super tasty. My dad had a grouper sandwich, big bulky bun, tomatos etc also very tasty, but with only one beer and a side salad the $75 including tip was a little steep for the exepetience. The best part about the place is its old school, old Naples charm; very private, retro feeling.
We made a breakfast reservation on Mother's Day and when we got there they said they didn't have the reservation from OpenTable. Then they told us that breakfast stopped at 10am and we would have to do a $69 per person buffet. We left and had to find someplace else to eat. Very bad experience
